Canines race at UK dog surfing championships  The UK dog surfing championships take place in Poole, southwestern England, with competitors racing on paddle boards due to a lack of waves. Inspired by similar contests in Australia and California, the UK event was first held in 2018 and takes place every two years. At this year's competition, three Guinness World Records are also broken for the fastest 50 metres on a paddle board by a human/dog duo, the most dogs riding on one paddle board and the most dogs riding on paddle boards simultaneously. 02:37Yes, I was in the first heat. We had some tough competition but we knew that when it was drawn.

02:42Mark said as he was drawing them out, he said, oh there's a semi-finalist from the year before

02:47and then he said, and there's my favourite and neither of those people were us.

02:51But I think we did very very well.

02:54Certainly, there were three Green's World Records titles.

02:56The first one was the fastest 50 metres on a paddleboard by a human stroke dog, Pear.

03:03So that's 50 metres. The second one was most dogs riding in the same paddleboard,

03:08same paddleboard. So it could be an outsized paddleboard, which it was,

03:12but one paddleboard, as many dogs as possible.

03:16And then the third one was most dogs riding on paddleboards simultaneously.

03:20So this is different paddleboards, but each paddleboard had a dog and a human on board.
