French President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron have filed a bombshell 218-page defamation lawsuit against controversial U.S. podcaster Candace Owens. Filed in Delaware Superior Court, the suit accuses Owens of spreading “verifiably false and devastating lies” in her podcast series Becoming Brigitte.

Among the most shocking claims: that Brigitte is a transgender woman who stole another’s identity, and that the Macrons are blood relatives involved in incest. The lawsuit states Owens ignored multiple requests to retract the statements. Macron’s legal team says the campaign was “designed to harass and cause pain.” Owens responded by calling the lawsuit a “desperate PR stunt” and denies prior knowledge of legal action. This rare international legal battle pits a sitting world leader against a powerful right-wing voice.
