French President Emmanuel Macron has been branded "arrogant" and "disrespectful" following his three-day state visit to the UK.Speaking to GB News, commentator Lizzie Cundy claimed Macron's attempts to curb the UK's migrant crisis has been a "disgrace", in light of a new exchange deal.FULL STORY HERE.
00:00So, Macroness did a bit where he spoke in French so that none of us could understand.
00:05And then he kind of blamed Brexit for the migrant crisis.
00:10What are your thoughts on that?
00:11I think there's always going to be a bit of dissent.
00:14The fact that, you know, the UK left the EU.
00:18And we did, we wanted to take back control, but we lost allies.
00:22We lost tools to manage. We lost even the watch list.
00:26That's why these gangs and criminals are moving freely.
00:29And I also think that we lost the point of certainly the Dublin agreement.
00:34And the channel has now opened up for the Irish seas.
00:37And I do feel that when there was more collaboration between EU and Britain,
00:42now that is gone, I think they are not really that willing.
00:46Because there's no way back as it was before because of Brexit.
00:51So, it's not just about migration. It's also economics.
00:54It's also about the low-skilled workers that have gone.
00:56It's also about the, you know, the borders that are bringing in.
00:59It's not just about getting rid of migration.
01:01It's a different type of migration that's now coming in.
01:04And I think it's different where if we were more closely with Brexit, with EU, instead of having Brexit,
01:13it would be so much better that we could actually have a sort of systemic and systematic sort of way in which both sort of, you know,
01:22whether it's like the watch list, the EU intel, the Europol, we could have shared those kind of intels much more better.
01:32And actually have much more control over what's happening at this very moment.
01:36Do you not think that's a little bit childish of them, though?
01:38No, it's not.
01:39No, no, no, hold on.
01:40Because they have, they could have just worked with us because it's wise.
01:43What is the wise thing to do would be to work with the United Kingdom, whether we are in or out of the EU, which we are entitled to not be in.
01:51Would it not be wiser for them to look at the situation and say, well, look, if we did a return policy, then in the end, they would stop coming to France as well.
02:01Because that's why they're coming. However, they need the agreement of all the other 26.
02:05They're coming into France to get to the UK.
02:06No, no, but they need 26 of the EU states to agree anyway, don't they?
02:10Yes.
02:11That's why we left.
02:12That's why we left. It's called freedom.
02:13Yes.
02:14Freedom.
02:15And you know what?
02:16Macron, my blood was boiling, Nana.
02:20And I know it's hot out there, but I was livid fuming.
02:24The arrogance of the man, the arrogance.
02:27He's there.
02:28He shows no manners.
02:29I hope he picked up a book of etiquette on his way home back to France because he walks in front of the king.
02:36He does a wink to Princess Catherine.
02:39And then he lectures and moralises over us on our own UK policies.
02:44And he claims Brexit.
02:46He's also, let's just remember, insulting half of the country that voted for Brexit.
02:52And doesn't he look at himself?
02:54He's taken £800 million of our money to help with this crisis, which it is.
03:02And as far as I can see, the French have barely got their feet wet, Nana.
03:06It's a disgrace.
03:07But one of the points that he has made, which I would agree with, is that he says that we are too generous.
03:12And that is a problem.
03:13We are.
03:14Why are we giving people when they come here, here's a new phone.
03:17Here's a new SIM card.
03:18Here is this.
03:19Here is that.
03:20It's like, hold on a minute.
03:21Yeah.
03:22What about the British people?
03:23We are offering those things in those countries.
03:24So, in France, they get a tent.
03:26Yeah.
03:27Well, France, they get a tent.
03:28Greece has just said, no more.
03:29That's it.
03:30Exactly.
03:31No one from North Africa.
03:32Because we're weak.
03:33And as, you know, he showed Keir Starmer up.
03:36You know, it was a state visit.
03:38And he showed our Prime Minister up.
03:41Hang on.
03:42Whose side are you on?
03:43Oh, no.
03:44I'm on neither of them.
03:45I don't think he's weak.
03:46I don't think he's weak.
03:47I thought he was very disrespectful, Macron, the way he spoke.
03:50I thought totally disrespectful when he's on a state visit.
03:52His behaviour was atrocious.
03:54I'm glad he's gone back.
03:55I don't want to see him again.
03:56And the amount of patting of backs and slapping each other.
