00:00A lot of you getting in touch this morning about this state visit with Emmanuel Macron.
00:04None of you are happy about it, I can't lie.
00:07Katie says, the king is weak, weak, weak.
00:10He's part of the reason this awful government is running amok.
00:12Irregular migration, she says.
00:14Disgraceful. Our beloved queen must be spinning in her grave
00:16by having such a spineless lefty as an heir.
00:18Well, there's your knighthood gone, Katie.
00:22I don't think that's entirely fair because, frankly,
00:24these speeches are written for monarchs by their ministers.
00:28Oh, come on.
00:28Now, he could argue and say, I want it to be illegal,
00:32or have no reference to it at all.
00:34But that's the point of being weak, surely.
00:36Yeah.
00:36Even if you were king, well, maybe you would,
00:40but if I was king and somebody gave me words to read out
00:43and I didn't want to, I wouldn't do it.
00:44No. Well, irregular is just a joke.
00:46And also, I can't stand about this government doing this.
00:50They take us for mugs.
00:52Who do they think's thawed by it by saying irregular migration?
00:55And once or twice it's crept in here.
00:59It repeatedly...
01:00Because if you say it often enough, it's the old Blair mantra.
01:04If you say it often enough, people believe it.
01:06So you've got to be really wary.
01:08So we're not using that expression, irregular migration,
01:11because it's illegal.
01:12Well, the thing is, irregular migration
01:15and the cost of that to the country
01:17repeatedly comes up as the most concerning issue of the day.
01:21Along with the cost of living crisis.
01:23Because the two sit side by side.
01:26If we didn't have a cost of living crisis,
01:27we might feel we could be more generous
01:29with people coming to live here,
01:30because we are a generous country.
01:32But because we can't afford anything
01:34and because we can't get to see a doctor or a dentist...
01:37Yeah, and disability benefits, got to cut them,
01:38but we can find £4 billion a year to put migrants in hotels.
01:42Special schools are going to have to cut back the...
01:45..and find £4 billion a year for the migrants.
01:48It really sticks in people's crawl.
01:50There's no sense of justice.
01:51Well, we're moving towards a one-world government, Andrew.
01:53It's a one-world planet where the nation-state won't matter
01:55and it will all be blamed on climate change
01:57and we will all be told...
01:59It's not your country.
02:00You just happen to live there.
02:01You don't have a right to it.
02:02It's just...
02:03This is a movement of travel.
02:05I was quite happy, actually, to hear Macron say
02:07long live France and long live the UK.
02:10Yeah, damn right.
02:11Words are cheap.
02:12Well, they are.
02:14Mary says...
02:15And then they all got up and did a standing ovation.
02:18Did they do the standing ovation in French?
02:22Actually, no, he did his...
02:23No, because the speech at the Windsor, he did in French.
02:27Yeah, I think at the end, didn't he, he said long live.
02:29Yeah.
02:30If I broke into class, would I be classed as irregular...
02:32If I was there at that dinner, you know what I would have done
02:34when everybody else stood up.
02:35I would have firmly stayed in my seat.
02:37Well, I hope you would.
02:39Right.
02:40In a bid to serve off.
02:40How can you do the standing ovation
02:41in something you didn't understand a word of?
