00:00So what does the last weekend in July have in store?
00:03Well, all in all, fairly average weather for this time of year.
00:07Many places will be dry all weekend.
00:09There'll be some warm sunshine, but there will also be a few showers around.
00:13We're kind of in weather no man's land, with low pressure way up to the northwest
00:17and this chunky area of high pressure, the Azores High, sitting over the Azores,
00:22but also extending its influence into parts of the south.
00:25The jet stream is also fairly wishy-washy.
00:27Yes, it's there, but it's not particularly strong and it's not doing a great deal over the next few days.
00:33So we'll maintain generally the air coming in from the Atlantic, a few showers here and there,
00:38particularly across parts of the southeast.
00:40That's where there's the greatest risk of one or two heavy ones, especially so on Saturday.
00:44But quite a bit of uncertainty and there'll always be somewhat hit and miss as they develop at this time of year.
00:50Elsewhere, there'll be a scattering of showers, perhaps over northern England, southern Scotland,
00:53and fairly frequent showers coming in on a briskish wind across the northwest of Scotland,
00:58turning to more persistent rain by the end of the day.
01:01For many, though, as I said, it will be a dry day, quite a bit of cloud bubbling up through the day,
01:05but also quite a bit of reasonably warm sunshine with temperatures close to average,
01:10high teens, low 20s.
01:11Still some warmth across the southeast, however, and it's that warmth, that extra bit of energy,
01:16which is likely to trigger a few more heavier showers,
01:19particularly late in the day over east Anglia and the southeast and during Saturday evening.
01:24So there might be one or two downpours in that southeastern corner.
01:27Elsewhere, the showers tending to fade, except in northwest Scotland,
01:30where they are merging together to bring some more persistent rain.
01:34As something of a weather front around that area of low pressure up to the north just moves closer in.
01:39High pressure is still trying to build in from the southwest during Sunday.
01:44So that means, again, a large part of the country will be dry.
01:47But, again, the southeast and the northwest susceptible to some outbreaks of rain.
01:52Showery rain drifting across Scotland and Northern Ireland.
01:55That weather front moves in, so expect some wet weather at times here.
01:59And, again, the showers hit and miss.
02:01Of course, he's dangling in the southeast, but one or two heavy ones are possible.
02:04For the bulk of England and Wales, any showers pretty well scattered.
02:08Many places dry and having that mixture of some cloudy spells and some late July sunshine.
02:14Temperature-wise, well, similar to Saturday's values, so about average, feeling quite warm in the sunshine.
02:20Temperatures mostly high teens or low 20s.
02:23And, again, that southeastern corner likely to see the peak, maybe 25 or 26 degrees Celsius.
