00:00was of course year number two um he basically made the point uh that it was the best year of
00:06indiana football ever last year uh and there is a lot to build on he's ready for year two in
00:12bloomington so we're better looking athletes walking through the doors and uh okay now that's
00:18all done last year's done you know all the coach signetti pictures in the building on game day
00:23get them off the walls you know all that stuff everything's earned not given now okay nothing
00:30good in life comes easy what's cheap won't last what lasts isn't cheap all right you got to pay
00:37the price every single day and do it consistently and when you're good then you got to have that
00:43burning desire to be great all right because 98 of this game is between your ears next question
00:51we like this guy he is kurt's good he's got he's pretty good so um remember last week we did the
01:01story that they canceled a future home and home with virginia in order to schedule some uh fcs
01:08opponents kenneth forella saw state and a couple of others uh they're going to be playing instead
01:13so kurt was asked yesterday why did they do that uh why did they cancel these games with virginia let's
01:19find out here's the bottom line okay we picked up an extra home game and we play nine conference
01:25games you know the two best conferences in college football any football guy that's objective will tell
01:32you there's a big 10 in the sec all right 12 of the 16 sec teams play three g5 or an fcs game
01:4112 of those teams play 36 games 29 g5 games and seven fcs games and one less conference game
01:52all right so we figured we'd just adopt sec scheduling philosophy
01:59you know some people don't like it i'm more focused in on those nine conference games
02:05there you have it i mean i i you gotta just love him he's something else and they've needed that
02:14there i'll tell you i mean they have been since 67 going to the rose but bill mallory's the only guy
02:22that ever won uh that ever did anything lee corso didn't win there i mean i guess he had some
02:29moments fair enough but the reality is they haven't won and now this guy comes around and wins 11 games
02:35and he can say whatever he wants and people are going to listen and he's got you know he's cocky
02:40he's got bravado uh he's not afraid of anybody he's not afraid of any game and it's paying off for
02:47indiana football because they he said it you heard him earlier he said we got better athletes now
02:51because of it he certainly does uh here's the indiana numbers uh for this coming season eight and a
02:59half is the win total 150 to one to win the national title plus 590 to go back to the college
03:05football playoff 49 to one to win the big 10 i will tell you the schedule this year is a little
03:13bit different than last year off the top of my head in conference i can tell you that they have
03:19two really tough road games they go to oregon and they go to penn state uh two tough road games for
03:25indiana this year yeah they'll go to eugene and lose and they'll go to happy valley and lose
03:31i mean penn state's loaded and they were uh you know deep in the playoff and indiana wasn't uh
03:40notre dame beat them so but the reality of it is when it was all said and done indiana lost by the
03:45fewest amount of points of anybody in that playoff to the teams uh that made it the furthest right so
03:51uh i i think that uh it's possible they could win nine games and i think that those two games are
04:00losses uh based on who they're playing not just because i i you know it's a long road trip or
04:07whatever i mean oregon's a tough place to play and so is happy valley
