00:00Hello there, a very good afternoon to you. The umbrellas have already proven useful for
00:05some of us so far today. This is the earlier radar sequence from this morning, showing
00:10a scattering of showers that have developed across several regions. But if we zoom into
00:14the southern half of the UK, you'll notice that some of these showers have quite a bright
00:18colour to them, indicating they've been on the sharper, heavier side. And it is these
00:23regions into the afternoon that could continue to see the odd sharp downpour, particularly
00:27across the far south coast of England, as well as up into East Anglia. Those continuing
00:32downpours could provide a hefty amount of rain in a short period of time, because they will
00:37be slow moving due to the light winds that we've got around today. The odd rumble of thunder
00:40is also possible. There'll be a scattering of showers across the northern half of the UK
00:45as well, but they'll tend to be on the lighter side. And there is a reasonable amount of cloud
00:50around, but some brighter and sunnier spells should poke their way through. If you manage
00:54to see that sunshine, it will feel relatively pleasant. Temperatures around average at this
00:58point in the year, ranging between 19 and 24 degrees Celsius.
01:03If you're heading out this evening, do hold onto those umbrellas, because the showers will
01:07continue for a time into the start of forthcoming nights, gradually easing off more so as we head
01:13towards midnight. And generally into the back end of the nights, the cloud will break up a
01:17touch more as well, allowing for some clearer spells. A few mist and fog patches may develop
01:22in places, but generally a fine night to come for many. A mild one as well. Certainly in our
01:27towns and cities, temperatures will be holding up around 14 to 16 degrees Celsius. It'll be a touch
01:32fresher in some real areas to kick off Thursday morning. As we head into the morning, we will
01:38start to see more rain just arriving for parts of eastern England. Some uncertainty just in regards
01:43to how far west this could spread, but certainly for parts of East Anglia, eventually down towards
01:47London, we may start to see the odd heavier bursts of rain for a time. The rest of the sunshine will
01:52be further towards the west, where it should be a relatively fine day to come here. That difference
01:57in conditions will also influence our temperatures. Certainly under the cloudier skies across the
02:01southeast of England, temperatures will be held back here with a slightly cooler feel and a brisker
02:06breeze in place. But with light winds and sunshine across the west, temperatures will again be climbing
02:10into the low to mid 20 degrees Celsius. It's all changed though as we head into Thursday evening.
02:17Whilst the rain in the southeast will tend to ease off and fizzle away, we'll start to see the cloud
02:22thickening for parts of Northern Ireland and Western Scotland as a band of rain slips in here. This is all
02:28associated with a weather front that's going to push its way into the northwest of the UK for the end of
02:32Thursday and into Friday. Meanwhile, we've got a ridge of high pressure that will build in across the
02:37southeast and so for Friday it's a reversal of fortunes with the slightly wetter and damper
02:42conditions up towards the northwest and the clearer and brighter conditions down towards the southeast.
02:48We'll have plenty more updates though of what you can expect over the forthcoming days on the YouTube
02:52channel and our full 10-day trend will be posted later on today as well, so do subscribe for that.
02:57Otherwise, enjoy the rest of your day. Bye-bye.
