In a shocking incident at a private clinic in Maharashtra’s Thane, a 25-year-old receptionist was allegedly assaulted by an intoxicated man after she denied him entry into a doctor’s chamber without an appointment, police said.

The accused, identified as Gokul Jha, reportedly kicked the woman and dragged her by her hair when she stopped him from entering. The doctor was in a meeting at the time and had instructed not to allow anyone inside.

The victim was rescued by hospital staff and patient relatives. The assault was caught on CCTV and has since gone viral, sparking outrage over women’s safety.

An FIR has been registered at Manpada Police Station under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita for assault, obscene language, and outraging a woman’s modesty. The accused is absconding, and a search is underway.
