00:00So you play Lindsay, her character Anna's fiancé-to-be, in the movie.
00:04What was it like working with her on this?
00:06It was incredible.
00:08It's very much a pinch-me moment.
00:10I was the kid who watched the original Freaky Friday in the theater,
00:15at the mall, with my parents and my sister,
00:18and never would have thought I'd be acting opposite Lindsay.
00:21Getting to watch her in Mean Girls and Freaky Friday,
00:25it's, again, it was never in the cards for me.
00:29But here we are.
00:31So there were a few times where I had to slap myself to keep focused,
00:35but we did our best.
00:37How do you feel like this movie builds on what we saw in the first film?
00:41Oh, I mean, it's such a consistent ode to the women in our lives,
00:47that, man, they know what's up.
00:52Who runs the world? Girls.
00:54Because that's true.
00:56So, yeah, and I think that's a consistent theme throughout both movies,
01:01whether it be single parents or just, yeah, single moms,
01:04because it's a tough gig, but they get it done.
01:08I love that.
01:09And you play a dad in the movie.
01:11So how did you and the actress who plays your daughter,
01:13how did you sort of build that, yeah, she's right here,
01:16that father-daughter relationship?
01:17Ooh, I mean, it's so easy to, like, love and care for Sophia.
01:23Like, it's, if I had a different actor, maybe we'd be speaking differently.
01:29But we also had, like, rehearsal time and time together before the actual filming
01:35to kind of figure things out.
01:37But, again, it's not hard to, like, look out for Sophia
01:42because she's such a lovely human being.
01:45And the original film came out in 2003,
01:47but so many trends from the early 2000s have been coming back.
01:51What's one you think needs to stay in the past?
01:54Ooh, fedoras, I think.
01:57Yeah.
01:58I don't know if that's the right timeline,
02:00but fedoras are, I think that should stay in the past for a little longer.
02:04Yeah, who knows when they'll be back, if they'll be back,
02:07but, man, it's tough rocking a fedora.
02:10If you do, all the power to you, but, yeah.
