At the 'Freakier Friday' premiere, Lindsay Lohan describes the impactful relationship Jamie Lee Curtis has had on her life. Plus, she describes how this sequel builds off the original story and how it has even more comedic moments.
00:00I love that you and Jamie have stayed so close since the original film.
00:03What has her presence in your life been like over the years, and why is she so important to you?
00:09Jamie and I have been close because we started to get to really know each other after I finished the first Freaky Friday.
00:18And she was there for me in a time in my life when my mom was busy with my siblings,
00:22and she was kind of like another mother figure to me out here in L.A.
00:25And so that's kept us really pretty tight-knit over time, and we've always just been in contact.
00:32I love that so much.
00:34And you said that you manifested this movie, you wanted to work with Disney again.
00:38What sort of roles are you manifesting right now?
00:40Ooh, I don't know.
00:44I mean, I'm doing a TV show with Hulu, which I'm really excited about.
00:48And just, I'd like to take on some more serious dramatic roles.
00:52And I love doing romantic comedy because that's where my home is, and that's where I feel like my fans want to see me.
00:59But I'd like to take on some things that are different and maybe find something that's an action-packed film.
01:03Just really show people a different side of me.
01:07I know you said there are some directors you'd love to work with.
01:09Can you drop any names?
01:11Oh, I love, like, Celine Song.
01:12I love Quentin Tarantino.
01:14I love Martin Scorsese.
01:18I'd like to let's go on.
01:20I love that so much.
01:22And, I mean, how do you feel like this movie really just builds on what we saw in the first film and takes it to the next level, the ultimate level?
01:28It's bigger.
01:29It's bigger.
01:30We have more stories to tell.
01:31It's a four-way swap, and there's more music, and there's a lot more physical comedy than the first one, which I love.
01:38Any moment that I can pull a Lucille ball, I'm down for it.
