00:00forward on this resolution vote because if he walks backwards he might fall down that would
00:05be terrible that would not be good uh are you going to sign on to this discharge petition
00:10thomas massey's discharge petition yes and why is that i i believe in transparency and i believe
00:17the american people this is this is a serious issue i can tell you uh for the past gosh more
00:23than a week the highest uh volume of calls into my office have been about it people want the
00:30information uh they don't want things covered up especially when it comes to the most well-known
00:37convicted pedophile in modern day history um it's important to them uh and they they really want
00:43the information the speaker says he's not going to have a vote before the august recess what do you
00:47say there uh he's also not having votes on a lot of appropriation bills that we need to pass before
00:52before august recess i think there's a problem there uh speaker johnson also didn't allow us
00:57to make amendments on the genius act last week that uh had a back door for a central bank digital
01:04currency and did not protect people's chain of custody when it comes to stable coin and crypto
01:10so there's a lot of things i would like to see speaker johnson do allowing us to do our job like
01:16introduce amendments pass appropriations which are important to our districts by the way
01:21those appropriation requests is exactly what our districts uh deserve um and then as well as
01:26allowing discharge petitions come to the court the president wants to move on though he thinks
01:31that enough has been released what's your reaction to that well actually i applaud the president um
01:36and pan bondy uh for her move to to unseal or ask the judge to unseal the records um in the court so
01:45looking forward to seeing when information comes out do you think she should testify
01:48to congress uh not at this time i think she's made the right move um and i was really glad to see
01:54her do that so that's up to that court and that judge to see if the records are unsealed i think um
02:00also important things are is we're going to be coming up on a september 30th uh deadline
02:06government funding deadline and i think the republican controlled congress should be uh passing
02:12appropriations not another cr yeah the speaker said he doesn't like discharge petitions he said it's a
02:18tool of the minority what do you make of those comments well i think discharge petitions are
02:24actually important i think that every single district in the country votes for their representative
02:29and whether they're in the majority or the minority and that's the purpose of a discharge
02:34petition is if 218 members of congress sign it it's that takes a combination of republicans and
02:41democrats right and then that allows something to come to the floor for a bit the president's really
02:46frustrated though because you've seen him on truth social and republicans who are calling for more
02:51information uh what do you make of his frustration he said calling republicans who hold weaklings he
02:57said this is a democratic hoax and the like you know i really like president trump um so i enjoy
03:03a lot of the things that he says i think he's funny um i also think he's he has a great pulse on
03:09things but on this issue the american people really want to see transparency it's become one of those
03:16uh basically fractures that is too big to ignore and um i'm really thankful that pan bondy is is
03:23going is asking the court still in seal so more information can come out on a separate topic could i ask you about
