00:00:45My goodness you had flow, you had musicality
00:00:51It was Olympic hero Susie O'Neil who sank to the bottom of the dance pool
00:00:56That was bloody, it was stompy, it was also pigeon-toed

00:02:00From the studios of Channel 7, this is Dancing With The Stars.
00:02:10Please welcome your hosts, Sonja Kruger and Chris Brown.
00:02:15Hello and hello to you at home. Welcome to Dancing With The Stars 2025.
00:02:34Now, last time our first team of celebrities kicked off the series in style with some impressive performances.
00:02:41And our judges even awarded some pretty good scores.
00:02:45Mildly good, Sonja, I think is probably fair to say.
00:02:49And you know what, despite some first night jitters, I think they did really well.
00:02:52But I'm sure tonight's couples, well they'll be looking to really make a mark in the competition, that is for sure.
00:03:00It is shaping up to be a huge night of entertainment because, get this, we also have a very special guest star performing.
00:03:09Really? Right, okay.
00:03:11Ladies and gentlemen, I'm so excited to announce that the legendary Dina Sparkle, the star of the movie Strictly Ballroom, will be dancing right here for us later in tonight's show.
00:03:24Really? Didn't she die?
00:03:27No, Sonja. Like grunge, oversized jeans and everything else we thought we'd left in the 90s, she back.
00:03:34Well, let's hope she still got it.
00:03:38But for now, we have six couples backstage, no doubt feeling the nerves ahead of their dance floor debut.
00:03:44Yeah, and if the thought of dancing in front of the entire nation isn't daunting enough, wait until I meet these four.
00:03:50Please welcome, the judges.
00:03:56Helen Ritchie.
00:03:59Mark Wilson.
00:04:02Shana Burgess.
00:04:06And Craig Rebel-Horwood.
00:04:08Yeah!
00:04:10Oh, come on!
00:04:12Oh, perfect!
00:04:32Give them a ten!
00:04:34Welcome back, judges.
00:04:36Good luck tonight.
00:04:37This team has some of the feistiest couples we have ever seen.
00:04:42So now, the moment we've all been waiting for.
00:04:44Please welcome to the ballroom our incredible...
00:04:46Dancing Stars!
00:04:48First up, TV host and podcaster, Osher Ginsberg and his partner, Shriani Argate.
00:04:58Home and Away star, Kyle Schilling and his partner, Lily Cornish.
00:05:03Brand influencer and model, Leah Favola and her partner, Gustavo Villio.
00:05:09Melbourne 7 News presenter, Karina Cavaglio and her partner, Andre Gorbinov.
00:05:14Comedian Felicity Ward and her partner, Arik Yagudkin.
00:05:19And TV comic, Sean McAuliffe and his partner, Ashley Hunter.
00:05:26So good!
00:05:28Sean McAuliffe, hello sailor!
00:05:30Look at you, I can't wait.
00:05:32Maybe in the outfit John West rejected, I think, quite possibly.
00:05:35They do look fabulous though.
00:05:37Last time, our first group of celebrity couples graced the ballroom.
00:05:41Tonight, they will take prime position in the front row over here
00:05:44to watch the competition unfold.
00:05:47Oh, and don't they love it.
00:05:48And a reminder, just like the first group, there are no eliminations.
00:05:52The points our couples are awarded for their routines tonight
00:05:55will be added to their scores for their next performance,
00:05:57so it's still important for them to get off on the right foot or the left,
00:06:02just depending on the choreography at the time.
00:06:04True.
00:06:05Okay, let's get this party started with funny girl Felicity Ward
00:06:09and her partner, Arik Yagudkin.
00:06:13I am Felicity Ward.
00:06:14I'm a comedian and an actress,
00:06:16and you might have seen me in The Office Australia.
00:06:18It's the race that stops the nation!
00:06:22Who is ready?
00:06:23Me.
00:06:24He's ready.
00:06:25With stand-up, you only have one job, and your job is to make people laugh,
00:06:28and that is not what I want to do in dancing.
00:06:31I want them to go, wow, we didn't imagine her to be able to do that.
00:06:34Hi, I'm Arik Yagudkin, and this is my 15th season of Dancer with Star.
00:06:39I am so excited to dance with Felicity.
00:06:42There's a lot of chemistry there.
00:06:43If there's another dancer available, I will...
00:06:47No.
00:06:48Hey!
00:06:49I love you so much!
00:06:50No, as soon as Arik and I met, it was just, I never want another dancer.
00:06:53I feel the same.
00:06:54You're so adorable.
00:06:55Are you?
00:06:56Look at this boy.
00:06:57Look at this boy.
00:06:58Should we do it?
00:06:59Let's go.
00:07:00A little bit of this.
00:07:01Look at this.
00:07:02Hey!
00:07:03Oh, look at that.
00:07:04Hey!
00:07:05Hey, you don't know what dance we have yet.
00:07:08No, I don't know anything.
00:07:09Bum, bum, bum, bum, bum!
00:07:11Paso Dobre!
00:07:12Oh, yes!
00:07:13Yeah!
00:07:14I just watched Strictly Ballroom like a week ago.
00:07:17Oh, my God.
00:07:18Obviously, you're going to tap into your acting side, but there's no comedy in this Paso, right?
00:07:22It's not the Pisa Dobre, it's the Paso Dobre.
00:07:25Professionally, it is my job to be silly.
00:07:28I'm like a very physical, silly comedian.
00:07:31Oh, my God.
00:07:33It's my skirt!
00:07:34My pretty skirt!
00:07:36Hello.
00:07:37It's got a bit in the middle.
00:07:38It's got the toilet bit.
00:07:40My fear is that I will be mediocre.
00:07:42I'm terrified of being fine, especially if I love something.
00:07:46And I love dancing.
00:07:47We're going to both knee walk forward.
00:07:50I feel like Gollum.
00:07:53I haven't stopped laughing.
00:07:54I don't know how she turns any single thing that I say into a joke.
00:07:57We're going to go into what we call a Shazze cape.
00:07:59Mm-hmm.
00:08:00It's like a very traditional Paso step.
00:08:02I think in Australia it's called a Sharon cape.
00:08:07I am absolutely out of my comfort zone.
00:08:09This requires hours of discipline.
00:08:12In this dance there is no comedy.
00:08:14Felicity has to take that away and bring the bullfight.
00:08:17Can I just practice that a few times?
00:08:19Yeah.
00:08:20Whatever I do I take it very seriously.
00:08:22Whether that's being an idiot.
00:08:24I'm having so much fun I go, whee!
00:08:26Or if you say this is a serious dance, for example.
00:08:29I'm like, he said it's got to be serious.
00:08:31This is, I'm going to win this.
00:08:33Oh, I like this attitude.
00:08:35You sound like me.
00:08:36Yeah.
00:08:40Dancing the Paso doble.
00:08:42Please welcome Felicity Ward and her partner Ariky Goodkin.
00:08:47Free your mind!
00:08:50I like that clothing, high heels, shoes.
00:09:03It doesn't mean that I'm a bastard dude, no, no.
00:09:08I like that music closer.
00:09:10That doesn't mean that I'm not selling love you, no, no, no.
00:09:15Before you can remake, you've got to learn how to see me, I said.
00:09:23Free your mind and the rust will follow.
00:09:27Be colorblind, don't be so shallow.
00:09:31Free your mind and the rust will follow.
00:09:36Be colorblind, don't be so shallow.
00:09:40Free your mind.
00:09:44Be colorblind, don't be so shallow.
00:09:54Free your mind and the rust will follow.
00:09:58Be colorblind, don't be so shallow.
00:10:01Free your mind.
00:10:05Thank you so much.
00:10:13Felicity Ward! What an opener!
00:10:18You had it all going on! She's your dancing twig!
00:10:23I can't breathe! I can't breathe!
00:10:25I'm like, I'm a goddamn glass of water!
00:10:27Felicity, a lot of people don't understand that you really love to dance, right?
00:10:32I love dancing so much. I do. Sorry, I'm so sorry.
00:10:35I don't usually sound like this, I promise.
00:10:38Yeah, I love it. It's the only exercise that I don't resent.
00:10:45But Arik, being the gifted person that he is, has helped me to also resent dancing.
00:10:51So I'm really...
00:10:56Good job, Arik.
00:10:57Yeah, you did a great job. He's the best. I love him more than anything.
00:11:00Well, it didn't look like you resented it. It looked pretty good, right?
00:11:03But we should probably find out what the judges thought.
00:11:08If we must.
00:11:09I think we must.
00:11:10Okay.
00:11:11Helen.
00:11:12Hi, Felicity.
00:11:13Hello.
00:11:14Did you enjoy it?
00:11:15I had the time of my life. I feel like I could almost be...
00:11:17I think I'm so dry.
00:11:18Oh.
00:11:19But apart from that, pretty good.
00:11:22Look, overall, you're very confident.
00:11:25Okay, for me personally, knee walks for the lady, I wouldn't do that.
00:11:31It's a masculine variation.
00:11:32But we're rebels.
00:11:33We're rebels.
00:11:34New steps, new steps, new steps.
00:11:36And in high heels, you know.
00:11:38Look, that took courage and I admire you for that.
00:11:40That's just a personal thing for me.
00:11:42But look, overall, it was a very good performance.
00:11:47Shana.
00:11:48Well, listen, I love me a badass feminine woman doing masculine things.
00:11:52So the knee walks did it for me.
00:11:54I absolutely love that.
00:11:55Yes.
00:11:56And I really love this performance.
00:11:59You guys just opened up the show in a massive way.
00:12:02So impactful.
00:12:05I could see all the work that you did on your Paso shaping.
00:12:08Not just in set-up lines, but also in your chasse capes.
00:12:11Like, you really tried to get it in there and not fake it.
00:12:13And I love that.
00:12:14What I want from you moving forward is to just work on your posture a bit.
00:12:17You got a little too into the character, so your chin came forward.
00:12:20Who, me?
00:12:21Yeah.
00:12:22Who, me?
00:12:23But I'm so shy and demure.
00:12:25Yeah.
00:12:26If you do that, it will give it a little bit more of that elegance along with the power
00:12:30that you're bringing to it.
00:12:31But consider me a fan.
00:12:33I can't wait to see more of you.
00:12:35Good comments from Shana.
00:12:37Mark.
00:12:38Wow, what a rock goddess to start the night.
00:12:40It was so much power.
00:12:42It was super.
00:12:44I can see it on your face.
00:12:45You really want to get this right.
00:12:48I cry every day at 325.
00:12:51Every single day.
00:12:52Arik's such a tough guy.
00:12:54Mate.
00:12:55Look, he's all smiles now.
00:12:56Yes, exactly.
00:12:57He's all smiles now.
00:12:58You do get on well.
00:12:59I can see that.
00:13:00I would like some more Paso doble characteristics.
00:13:03You know, more hip forward, body shaping.
00:13:05And I'd love to see more of that to really create an image of this dance.
00:13:10But you've come out really making it happen the first night.
00:13:13Well done.
00:13:14Craig.
00:13:15You need to dance more through the transitions.
00:13:20I felt like you were just doing beat to beat to beat rather than dancing through it.
00:13:24You need to smooth out those edges.
00:13:26I felt it was very, very hard and lacked the Spanish line that is necessary.
00:13:33And I felt you were more like the bull rather than the cape in this dance, I'm afraid.
00:13:39I'm actually quite comfortable with that.
00:13:41I think I killed it.
00:13:42I think I killed it.
00:13:43On that note, Felicity.
00:13:44Yeah, yeah.
00:13:45I'm going to send you upstairs to go and see Chris and get a drink of water.
00:13:49As Felicity heads upstairs.
00:13:51Let's take a look back at her Paso doble, full of power, controversial knee walks.
00:13:58It had the lot.
00:13:59Even a death spiral at the very end.
00:14:05Hello.
00:14:06Hello.
00:14:07Hello.
00:14:08Wow.
00:14:09What a way to start the night.
00:14:10Yeah.
00:14:11Yeah.
00:14:12I didn't think that I'd be dancing tonight, but here I am.
00:14:14No, I'm joking.
00:14:15Okay.
00:14:16Just to be clear.
00:14:17Oh.
00:14:18Oh, I'm supposed to be.
00:14:19Okay.
00:14:20Cool, cool, cool.
00:14:21Alright.
00:14:22It was a very serious, intense dance for a comedian to do, right?
00:14:25Yeah.
00:14:26Was that hard to get into that character?
00:14:27Yeah.
00:14:28Yeah.
00:14:29I mean, like being serious and like, I don't know, when we're doing it, he's like, you've
00:14:32got to be sexy.
00:14:33I'm like, come on, man.
00:14:35Don't make me be sexy in front of strangers.
00:14:37You know what?
00:14:38I think she was pretty sexy.
00:14:39Let me tell you.
00:14:40Oh, do y'all?
00:14:41Oh, do y'all?
00:14:42Yeah.
00:14:43How hard is R.A.Q. Goodkin as your master dancer?
00:14:48He is merciless.
00:14:50Like, I had like massive, like, burns on my knees.
00:14:53He's like, yeah, alright, let's do it again.
00:14:54I'm like, no, I'm bleeding.
00:14:56He's like, yeah, cool.
00:14:57Put a bandaid on, we're going again.
00:14:59Yeah.
00:15:00The dancing is not for the weak.
00:15:02It is so hard.
00:15:03He is so tough, but I love him more than anything.
00:15:05Yeah.
00:15:06You know, it's a safe space.
00:15:07You can just blink twice if I need help.
00:15:09Blink twice, please.
00:15:10Please, please.
00:15:11Shall we get the judges' scores?
00:15:13Will the judges please reveal their scores?
00:15:17Craig Revel Horwood.
00:15:18Four.
00:15:19Oh, wow.
00:15:20Helen Ritchie.
00:15:21Six.
00:15:22Woo!
00:15:23Sharna Burgess.
00:15:24Six.
00:15:26Mark Wilson.
00:15:27Six.
00:15:28Whoa!
00:15:29Hell no!
00:15:31There we go.
00:15:32A score of 22.
00:15:33So that's a great start.
00:15:34Yeah, sure.
00:15:35Look, I can't believe that I'm being judged for dancing,
00:15:38so any score is pretty good, to be perfectly honest.
00:15:41Yeah.
00:15:42You've set the benchmark.
00:15:43It's going to be amazing from here.
00:15:44Provided Arik is okay with every...
00:15:46Are you okay, Arik?
00:15:47Totally okay.
00:15:48He's good.
00:15:49He's good.
00:15:50He's not at all.
00:15:51Look at him, he's fuming.
00:15:52Let's get out of here.
00:15:53Over to you.
00:15:54No worries, Chris.
00:15:55No worries.
00:15:56Well, we are off to a great start.
00:15:57But still to come tonight, TV presenter Osher Ginsberg
00:15:59and the hilarious Sean McAuliffe.
00:16:01But up next, it's Home and Away star Kyle Schilling.
00:16:05Don't go anywhere.
00:16:06You're watching Dancing with the Stars.
00:16:09Welcome back to Dancing with the Stars.
00:16:21Now, our next celebrity plays Summer Bay's hottest surfboard shaper.
00:16:26But can Kyle Schilling impress the judges on the dance floor?
00:16:30Let's see how he went in rehearsal.
00:16:34I'm Kyle Schilling, but you may know me better as Marley Hudson from Home and Away.
00:16:38Now, move, move, move, move!
00:16:39Hi, I'm Lily Cornish and this is my seventh season of Dancing with the Stars.
00:16:51I think we've got a great duo going.
00:16:54You know, I've got the acting skills.
00:16:56Lily's got the dance skills.
00:16:58What does that equal?
00:16:59A mirror ball.
00:17:01Ding, ding, ding, ding.
00:17:03Cha, cha, cha.
00:17:07Cha, cha, cha, cha.
00:17:10The cha-cha is really cheeky and flirtatious.
00:17:14It's all in the hips.
00:17:16Yes.
00:17:17Which I think is how we are kind of naturally with each other.
00:17:20Do you know what you did?
00:17:21I bent my knee, didn't I?
00:17:22Yeah.
00:17:23Kyle is struggling with the technical aspect of the cha-cha.
00:17:26He's doing like a crab-style walk instead of a cha-cha walk.
00:17:29I need straight legs.
00:17:30Let's add in the lock.
00:17:32Achilles burning already.
00:17:34It's like as soon as I physically see you, my calves go.
00:17:37It's hard hurting.
00:17:38Cha-cha walk.
00:17:39Hips to the left.
00:17:41I grew up doing traditional Aboriginal dance and it's all grounded and earthy and then I'm
00:17:47doing this and it's all a step with a straight leg and I'm like, oh man, do I look good
00:17:52or am I completely stuffing this up?
00:17:55Now I walk over the top of you.
00:17:56OK.
00:17:57Yeah.
00:17:58So we've got this new concept where I'm going to walk over Kyle.
00:18:01We've been really struggling to get the right counterbalance.
00:18:06I don't go too early.
00:18:08It's hard because you're scared for a very good reason.
00:18:12I'm not scared.
00:18:13I reckon we go faster and can you lengthen your arms if we don't get the right balance
00:18:18together?
00:18:19You can totally make or break the routine.
00:18:21OK, it's coming.
00:18:23You only get one shot.
00:18:27Yep.
00:18:28It's not like on a home and away where you can retake that.
00:18:30Oh, what?
00:18:31It was the truth.
00:18:36Dancing the cha-cha-cha.
00:18:38Please welcome Kyle Schilling and his partner, Lily Cornish.
00:19:00OK.
00:19:01I see a brother holding the seat.
00:19:02No beef, but I'm trying to get the blow.
00:19:03You're the beast.
00:19:04Don't take my tongue until you're wrong.
00:19:06I can keep it chill like a survey on Blanc.
00:19:08I'm going to keep it real when you're mad long gone.
00:19:10You're looking for a friend, then you got the wrong song, baby girl.
00:19:12To the back.
00:19:13To the front.
00:19:14You a tam, baby girl, but I'm the one.
00:19:16Hey.
00:19:17To the back.
00:19:18To the front.
00:19:19You a tam, baby girl, but I'm the one.
00:19:20One.
00:19:21You're my little boo thing.
00:19:22So I'll give a hoot what you do.
00:19:24Say girl, I know.
00:19:25You a little too tame.
00:19:26I'll be shooting that shot like 2K girl, I know.
00:19:30Tell him, I'm telling him I'm next.
00:19:31Tell him you found something too fresh, I know.
00:19:34Tell him, I'm telling him I'm next.
00:19:36Tell him you found something too fresh, I know.
00:19:38I know, oh, oh, you got the best of mine, oh, oh, you got the best of mine, oh, oh, got the best of mine, oh, oh, not just I'm like, you're my little boo thing, so I don't give a hoot what you do, say girl I know, you're a little too tame, I'll be shooting that shot like you, hey girl I know, tell them I'm telling them I'm next, telling them you found a little something too fresh, I know,
00:20:07tell them I'm telling them I'm next, telling them you found a little something too fresh, I know.
00:20:22For Kyle Schilling and Lily Cornish, ooh, double denim, double trouble with you guys, isn't it?
00:20:30Double sweat.
00:20:31Double sweat.
00:20:32You are amazing, I feel like you just really have that rhythm going and Lily you would know this wouldn't you, you've been on the show for a while so you can tell somebody who's really got it from someone who hasn't, what did you think?
00:20:44Oh, he's done amazing, the Latin and Borum is a whole new world but one good thing is he can dance in time, most of the time, so.
00:20:53She meant all the time.
00:20:55She meant all the time.
00:20:56Usually, usually, when he's not too excited.
00:20:58Yes.
00:20:59We should probably get the judges comments, do you think?
00:21:02Let's do it.
00:21:03Okay.
00:21:04Shana.
00:21:04You guys, that was an awesome cha-cha.
00:21:07I think it's...
00:21:08I loved the presence, the personality, the chemistry.
00:21:14You made it your own, you made it so unique and sexy and fun and playful and flirtatious, you just nailed it.
00:21:20You did go out of time a couple times, like I don't know if you got excited or you missed a step, right?
00:21:25You blacked out a little bit, right?
00:21:27You did get a little sloppy on some of your cha-cha footwork and I'm calling you out because I think you could actually be phenomenal.
00:21:33So, we're being hard on you because we can.
00:21:36Thank you, thank you.
00:21:37So, moving forward, here's what I would really love from you is that you actually learn to lead because what's happening is your leading arm is doing something but it's not totally connected to your body and it's making me a bit distracted.
00:21:49So, learn to lead from your body and you'll be unstoppable.
00:21:52Appreciate it.
00:21:54Mark.
00:21:55But the rhythm is fabulous.
00:21:56You know, the energy together is great.
00:21:58You've got some really good hip action.
00:22:00Choreography.
00:22:00I mean, you feel that full of choreography and it flowed from one position to another from the start to finish.
00:22:05So, as Shana said, we've got to be hard on you.
00:22:09Make sure your posture is right because sometimes you will lean back.
00:22:12But I think you're going to be a real couple to reckon with in this competition.
00:22:16Definitely.
00:22:17Fabulous start.
00:22:18Well done.
00:22:18Well done.
00:22:20Craig.
00:22:22That wasn't a cha-cha-cha in any way, shape or form.
00:22:25Oh, stop it right now.
00:22:27It's true.
00:22:28How was it?
00:22:28It was grinding.
00:22:30It was street.
00:22:32I love a grinding cha-cha.
00:22:33And all the floor work.
00:22:34I mean, when is that in the cha-cha-cha?
00:22:36Come on, really.
00:22:37On Dancing with the Stars.
00:22:37I mean, and there wasn't one straight leg in there.
00:22:39Your footwork was completely not on the money at all.
00:22:42When you finally did do the cha-cha-cha, it was awful.
00:22:46I'm sorry.
00:22:47I'm finding this hard to judge.
00:22:50I really am.
00:22:51He needs love.
00:22:52He needs love.
00:22:53He needs love.
00:22:53A lot.
00:22:54I deeply disagree.
00:22:56Helen, I actually think you do have a lovely feel for the music.
00:23:02I love the way you partnered, Lily, and as far as you took care of her, I felt you were safe with her.
00:23:09And that's very important to our lady dancers from our male celebrities, let's say.
00:23:15You do need to tighten up your base.
00:23:17And it was earthy and grounded, but it could have been even more so.
00:23:23But a good job, Kyle.
00:23:25Thank you very much.
00:23:26Thank you all.
00:23:27What do you think about those comments?
00:23:29I'm in a whole new world of dance that I've never done before.
00:23:32And for us to whip this up in such little time, you know, I'm over the moon.
00:23:37I'm stoked.
00:23:37I'm stoked to be dancing with Lily.
00:23:39I'm stoked to have these guys here as judges and everyone here in the audience.
00:23:42And, yeah, it's a great experience, and that's what I'm here for.
00:23:47And I'm just, you know, these legs will get straight eventually.
00:23:50But for now, I'm just going to feel love, and I'm enjoying myself.
00:23:53Well, we're super happy that you're here, Kyle.
00:23:55Why don't you head on up there and see Chris in the skybox.
00:23:59And we'll take a look back at our double denim twins dancing a cha-cha-cha.
00:24:07And Kyle has the moves, that is for sure, with his incredible partner, Lily.
00:24:16Come on, you two.
00:24:17Come over here.
00:24:20Where's Chris?
00:24:21Well done, mate.
00:24:22Right here.
00:24:23Right here.
00:24:23That was...
00:24:24I'm just here.
00:24:26That was big sexy and that was big denim.
00:24:28Did it feel good to you?
00:24:29It felt great.
00:24:30Like I said, I'm over the moon.
00:24:32You know, I couldn't be happier with the outcome, so, yeah.
00:24:36You, by my calculations, are the...
00:24:38I think the 112th actor from Home and Away...
00:24:41113.
00:24:42...to feature on Dancing with the Stars.
00:24:44Do you feel some pressure there to perform?
00:24:46Yeah, we've had, over the last few years,
00:24:49plus we've had great people from Home and Away attend and do really well.
00:24:53And I'm here to take home that nice, big disco ball.
00:24:58Yeah.
00:25:00Yeah.
00:25:00You want to be able to walk back into that diner with your head held high, right?
00:25:03Yeah, it's all for the fun and, you know, I'm here to really enjoy myself
00:25:07and so are the rest of the guys contending.
00:25:09We're all here as one big family and we're just here to kick each other's butts.
00:25:13Absolutely.
00:25:14You look like you were having fun.
00:25:15Let's see what the judges' scores are.
00:25:17Ladies and gentlemen, the judges have their scores.
00:25:21Craig Revel Horwood.
00:25:22Three.
00:25:23What?
00:25:24Helen Ritchie.
00:25:25Seven.
00:25:26Shana Burgess.
00:25:28Seven.
00:25:29Awesome.
00:25:29Mark Wilson.
00:25:31Yes, seven.
00:25:32Awesome.
00:25:34You broke your mind.
00:25:35Yeah.
00:25:36Craig's really insistent on that whole cha-cha-cha thing.
00:25:38Yeah, no, you know, he's got a point and that's why he's here,
00:25:42being a big cranky bum.
00:25:44And I'm here to take it on board.
00:25:47So I promise, mate, I'm only going to get better.
00:25:49So thank you.
00:25:50There you go.
00:25:50It's a score of 24.
00:25:51It's a very, very strong start.
00:25:53Well done, you two.
00:25:53Back to you, Sonia.
00:25:55Cranky bum Craig is going to stick.
00:25:58Still to come, funny man Sean McAuliffe
00:26:01and a special appearance from a Strictly Ballroom superstar,
00:26:05Tina Sparkle.
00:26:06She's just getting some finishing touches to her costume
00:26:09and throwing up backstage.
00:26:11But up next is Seven News presenter, Karina Carvalho.
00:26:15This is Dancing with the Stars.
00:26:16I'll see you after the break.
00:26:18You're a little bit there.
00:26:19So I don't give a hoot what you do say.
00:26:21Girl, I know you're a little too tight.
00:26:29Welcome back to Dancing with the Stars.
00:26:31Now, as one of Channel 7's most respected newsreaders,
00:26:35Karina Carvalho is used to maintaining composure under pressure.
00:26:39But can she keep her cool as she trades the news desk
00:26:43for the dance floor?
00:26:44Let's see how things went in rehearsal.
00:26:50I'm Karina Carvalho and I'm a journalist and news presenter
00:26:54for Channel 7 in Melbourne.
00:26:55Good afternoon.
00:26:56A legal battle is looming between opposition leader Peter Dutton
00:27:00and teal independent Zali Stegall.
00:27:03When you're presenting the news,
00:27:04you're the person that's in charge.
00:27:05Now the shoe's on the other foot.
00:27:07Everything is taken out of my control.
00:27:09I have to put a lot of faith in Andre.
00:27:12Hi, I'm Andre Gourbunov.
00:27:15I believe as a competitor,
00:27:17you have to just give 100% straight from the beginning
00:27:21and not just slowly developing a dance after dance.
00:27:24I don't believe in that, no.
00:27:26Oh, my God.
00:27:26OK, great.
00:27:29No pressure.
00:27:31When you're presenting the news,
00:27:33the one thing that you have to remember
00:27:35is not to do anything to distract the viewer.
00:27:38So you don't want to be moving around too much.
00:27:40But when you dance,
00:27:41you're using all of your limbs
00:27:44all at the same time.
00:27:46It's the absolute opposite.
00:27:49Viennese Wars,
00:27:50it's a beautiful and elegant dance.
00:27:54On the arm.
00:27:54Swing.
00:27:55Too easy to do with me.
00:27:57To your right.
00:27:59Spin to your left.
00:28:00Karine is supposed to look graceful and effortless,
00:28:04but at the moment,
00:28:06it looks a little bit panicking
00:28:07and looks stressed.
00:28:09Oh.
00:28:10Two, two, three, one.
00:28:12Three, two.
00:28:15I think the big challenge is for her
00:28:17to really keep nice and graceful frame.
00:28:21Very good.
00:28:23And don't kick partner.
00:28:28Pivot.
00:28:29She kicked me in.
00:28:31Apparently there's no high kicks
00:28:34in the Viennese waltz.
00:28:40Dancing the Viennese waltz.
00:28:41Please welcome Karina Cavaglio
00:28:44and her partner, Andre Gourbunov.
00:28:47Share my life.
00:29:02Take me for what I am.
00:29:06Cause I'll never change
00:29:10All my colors for you
00:29:14I don't really need to look
00:29:18Very much further
00:29:20I don't wanna have to go
00:29:23Where you don't follow
00:29:25I won't hold it back again
00:29:27This passion inside
00:29:29I can't run for myself
00:29:31There's nowhere I heard
00:29:34I for you
00:29:37Don't make me calm
00:29:40I don't wanna hurt anymore
00:29:46Stay in my arms
00:29:50if you dare
00:29:51I must imagine you there
00:29:55Don't walk away from me
00:29:59I have nothing, nothing, nothing
00:30:05If I don't have you
00:30:10Spectacular!
00:30:24Karina Carvalho and Andre Galvinov
00:30:28Wow, Lady in Red
00:30:31You are composed in any situation, aren't you?
00:30:35Did it feel like that?
00:30:37Yeah, I thought I'd be more nervous
00:30:39I'm probably more nervous talking to you right now
00:30:42because I'm used to asking the questions rather than answering them
00:30:45Yes
00:30:46But the actual dance and getting out here, we felt good the whole day
00:30:51Well, it looked good too, my goodness
00:30:53That lived to the end
00:30:54Well, hopefully
00:30:55Wow
00:30:56Now, Michael Usher, he topped the leaderboard
00:31:00I know
00:31:01Is it newsreader against newsreader?
00:31:04Well, there's a lot of pressure in the news department now
00:31:06There really is
00:31:08Yeah, forget about the ratings
00:31:10Who cares?
00:31:11It's all about dancing with the stars
00:31:14And I can't believe you kicked poor Andre and the Galvinovs in rehearsal
00:31:18Are you okay, Andre?
00:31:20Yes, I'm okay
00:31:21You're okay?
00:31:22How's she like to dance with? Good?
00:31:24Yes
00:31:25I like to challenge her because I know she can do it
00:31:28Yeah
00:31:29And she did a good job, I think
00:31:30You did a very good job
00:31:31Let's hear from our judges
00:31:33First up, Shana
00:31:35In life, you're telling us stories everyday that are true and real and hard
00:31:39And I want you to find the absolute joy in the freedom of telling stories here that are gonna make everybody feel good
00:31:47And I want that to give you the confidence to go and do something
00:31:51Now for something technical for you
00:31:53A beautiful frame, your heart was up
00:31:55I think you just gotta watch that claw hand on his arm a little bit
00:31:58It was latching on for dear life in some parts
00:32:01But keep doing what you're doing
00:32:02Trust your partner
00:32:03I really can't wait to see more of you
00:32:05And I think you got something special
00:32:07Thank you
00:32:08Craig
00:32:09I thought the amalgamations were slightly disconnected
00:32:12Which makes every transition a little bit lumpy
00:32:15It lacked finesse for me
00:32:17And I found it
00:32:19I mean dance is about telling a story
00:32:21You must remember that
00:32:23For me it lacked emotion
00:32:25I don't agree with that at all
00:32:29I just think that's just
00:32:30I don't agree with that at all
00:32:32I thought you really sold the performance beautifully
00:32:35You were in his arm beautifully
00:32:37Now in this dance
00:32:38You need to be softer in your knees
00:32:39Bend your knees a bit more
00:32:40So you can feel your weight into your legs
00:32:42Then you'll have more power to shift across the floor
00:32:46But you were elegant
00:32:47It was dainty
00:32:48It was delicate to watch
00:32:50I just
00:32:51I really loved what you produced as a dancer
00:32:53And I think you're a lovely partnership
00:32:55Well done
00:32:56Thank you
00:32:57Good comment
00:32:58As a news presenter
00:33:00You're trained to kind of be impartial
00:33:03And inscrutable
00:33:04And not really show any emotion right?
00:33:06Yeah and I think that's probably been one of the trickiest things for me
00:33:09Is actually having to
00:33:11Let go
00:33:12Try to emote
00:33:13Yeah
00:33:14And it's something I have to say
00:33:15You must get over
00:33:16You really have to commit
00:33:18To the idea of doing that
00:33:20Otherwise the dance will just look dull
00:33:22You know
00:33:23You have to tell a story
00:33:24But I didn't think that was dull
00:33:25Mark
00:33:26Mark
00:33:27Listen darling
00:33:28I know but it wasn't dull
00:33:29It's about even using your arms
00:33:30When your arms come out
00:33:31You have a story to tell
00:33:33They don't just get lumped and placed there
00:33:35For no reason
00:33:36Yes it was not dull
00:33:37You know you have to start connecting your body
00:33:39To an emotion
00:33:40We'll have to really disagree
00:33:41Well fine
00:33:43Helen
00:33:44Okay kids
00:33:45Let's cut out the fighting
00:33:47Okay
00:33:48Karina I agree with Craig
00:33:50About the emotional side of things
00:33:52As dancers
00:33:53What we do is artistic
00:33:55It's not just all about technique
00:33:57You did something at the very beginning
00:33:59After you did your entry
00:34:01And you knew you had nailed it
00:34:03Your face just lit up
00:34:05And it looked so beautiful
00:34:08And then it was in and out like that
00:34:10Through the whole thing
00:34:11It's like
00:34:12I got that bit
00:34:13Thank God for that
00:34:14And
00:34:15But you actually have a talent
00:34:17You can dance
00:34:18But you're
00:34:19I think you're a perfectionist
00:34:20And it is not going to happen in five series
00:34:22You do this show
00:34:23To learn the amount
00:34:24And all the information
00:34:25That you get thrown at you
00:34:27But it's doable
00:34:28You've got a great partner
00:34:29Our dancers in this show
00:34:31Are absolutely fantastic
00:34:33What they get out of our celebrities
00:34:34They are
00:34:35Andre's the best of the best
00:34:36Oh thank you
00:34:37So anyway
00:34:38Thank you
00:34:39Thank you
00:34:40Thank you
00:34:41Thank you
00:34:42Some really good comments there
00:34:43Some really interesting feedback
00:34:44Do you want to head on up
00:34:45And see Chris in the sky box
00:34:47And we're going to take a little look back
00:34:48At that performance
00:34:49By Karina Palaio
00:34:51Dancing a Viennese waltz
00:34:53With her partner Andre
00:34:54Just floating around the floor
00:34:57And really making some incredible lifts
00:35:00In this
00:35:01Take a look at that
00:35:02Take a look at that
00:35:03Well done to you Karina and Andre
00:35:12Well done guys
00:35:13I loved it
00:35:14I loved it
00:35:15I loved it
00:35:16Okay
00:35:17Well you and Craig might disagree
00:35:19No but there's been so much critiquing
00:35:21Of what emotion is in dance
00:35:23For someone who's a news presenter
00:35:25Like to put it in news terms for you
00:35:27I guess it's sort of more like the fluffy panda story
00:35:31At the end of the bulletin
00:35:32Less natural disaster
00:35:34Can you bring some panda to the dance floor?
00:35:37Maybe in the next one?
00:35:39Yeah maybe
00:35:41I don't know
00:35:42I don't know about panda
00:35:43But I do
00:35:44I do absolutely take on the judges comments
00:35:46About needing to be more emotional
00:35:50And soften up
00:35:51But that's something that's really hard for me to do
00:35:52That doesn't come naturally
00:35:54We saw it at the end of the dance though
00:35:55There was a beautiful embrace
00:35:56It almost tears
00:35:57It was a beautiful moment
00:35:58I think I was just so glad it was over
00:36:00Yeah I bet
00:36:01Well it's not completely over
00:36:03Because it is now time for the judges' scores
00:36:05The judges' scores are in
00:36:07Craig Revel Horwood
00:36:09Five
00:36:10Kellen Ritchie
00:36:12Six
00:36:13Shana Burgess
00:36:15Five
00:36:16Mark Wilson
00:36:17Seven
00:36:18Does that give you the feels?
00:36:25We'll take that
00:36:26We'll take that
00:36:27And there's definitely room for improvement
00:36:29Yeah
00:36:30Because it is
00:36:31I think you
00:36:32In your mind
00:36:34Think that it's going to go a certain way
00:36:36And then you get out there and go
00:36:38Oh I missed that bit
00:36:39Or
00:36:40Oops
00:36:41Stuffed that bit up
00:36:42Andre will tell me off for that later
00:36:44Yeah
00:36:45Later
00:36:46That's the emotion of regret
00:36:49I think we're feeling right now
00:36:50Alright it is now time for the half time leaderboard
00:36:52Let's have a look at how things stand right now
00:36:54Kyle and Lily on 24 points
00:36:56Up top
00:36:57Followed by Karina and Andre
00:36:58After that performance
00:37:00And Felicity and Arik
00:37:02Alright back to you Sonia
00:37:03Thank you Chris
00:37:04Well at this point the leaderboard only tells half the story
00:37:07Because we still have three amazing couples yet to dance
00:37:10Osher Ginsberg is still to come
00:37:12And up next her father was on the show
00:37:14Her mother was on the show
00:37:16And now her parents have forced her to be on the show
00:37:20It's brand influencer and model Mia Favola
00:37:24And her partner Gustavo Villio
00:37:26Don't go anywhere
00:37:27This is Dancing with the Stars
00:37:29Welcome back to Dancing with the Stars
00:37:45Now Mia Favola is no stranger to this ballroom
00:37:49Having watched both of her parents
00:37:51Alex and Brendan Favola compete on the show
00:37:55Well now it's her turn to carry on the family tradition
00:37:58Let's see how her preparations have been going
00:38:05I'm Mia Favola
00:38:07I am a model
00:38:08Brand influencer
00:38:09Content creator
00:38:10Makeup artist
00:38:11I have a marketing degree
00:38:12And also studying psychology
00:38:14My parents are Alex and Brendan Favola
00:38:17And we have a little bit of a family tradition
00:38:19With Dancing with the Stars
00:38:20I don't know if I have it in my blood
00:38:23Mia family
00:38:24They all pin on Dancing with the Stars
00:38:26The dad
00:38:27The mum
00:38:28The granddad
00:38:29No the granddad no
00:38:30Joking
00:38:31So I know there is a language barrier here
00:38:39I know they put subtitles on me before
00:38:42I never forgive them
00:38:44Mia has a degree in business
00:38:46And wants to become a psychologist
00:38:49So dancing
00:38:50It's completely opposite of washing wannabe
00:38:54So the cha cha cha
00:38:55Straight legs
00:38:56Okay
00:38:57A lot of movement
00:38:59Okay
00:39:00Quick spiky legs
00:39:02And hip action
00:39:04Two and three
00:39:06Nice
00:39:07One more time
00:39:08When it's a performance
00:39:10Everything is so much bigger and bolder
00:39:12And that's really not who I am
00:39:14I'm more of an introverted person
00:39:16One
00:39:17Two and three
00:39:19Four and one
00:39:20This way
00:39:21Two and three
00:39:23Four and one
00:39:25Believe in yourself
00:39:26Believe in yourself
00:39:27But they will rape
00:39:29And again
00:39:30Two and three
00:39:32Four and one
00:39:33Two and three
00:39:34I thought I was doing okay in the rehearsals
00:39:37Until
00:39:38Gustavo got his phone
00:39:40And started following me around
00:39:41As if it was one of the cameraman
00:39:42And I froze
00:39:43So that is freaking me out
00:39:45If I freeze in front of a phone
00:39:47I can't imagine what it's going to be like
00:39:49With a live audience
00:39:50One
00:39:51Two
00:39:52Three
00:39:53Four
00:39:54Two and three
00:39:55And four and one
00:39:56I want Mia
00:39:57To get on that dance floor
00:39:59And sell
00:40:00Sell
00:40:01Sell
00:40:02Me everything
00:40:03Apartments
00:40:04Bathrooms
00:40:05Everything
00:40:06And sell
00:40:07And sell
00:40:08And sell
00:40:09And sell
00:40:10You did not sell
00:40:11We didn't sell anything
00:40:12Please welcome to the floor
00:40:16Mia Favola
00:40:17And
00:40:18Gustavo
00:40:19Viglio
00:40:20Dancing the Cha Cha Cha
00:40:22Oh
00:40:23Cha
00:40:24Viglio
00:40:30Now he's
00:40:31Thinking about me
00:40:32When I know
00:40:33If you're my sweet
00:40:34I guess so
00:40:35If you can't sleep
00:40:37Baby I know
00:40:38That Mia's for so
00:40:40I'm walking away
00:40:42Cause I'm a singer
00:40:44Oh it looks so cute
00:40:46Wrapped on my finger
00:40:49My twisted shoulder
00:40:51Making laughs so often
00:40:53My honeybee
00:40:55Can I get this polyglot
00:40:57To get your eggs
00:40:58Don't do it with
00:40:59Walk in and drink it truly
00:41:01Soft skinning like perfume
00:41:03For you
00:41:04I know I'm about to do it for you
00:41:06I know I'm about to do it for you
00:41:08That won't make you feel
00:41:09For you
00:41:10Want touching up
00:41:11Red Nude for you
00:41:12Brown holes
00:41:13Looking around me
00:41:14Every night at all
00:41:15Isn't that sweet I guess so
00:41:16If you can't sleep
00:41:17Baby I know
00:41:18That Mia's for so
00:41:19Know what I've done
00:41:20With Frido
00:41:21Switch it out like Nintendo
00:41:22If you can't sleep
00:41:23Baby I know
00:41:24That Mia's for so
00:41:25Know what I've done
00:41:26With Frido
00:41:27Switch it out like Nintendo
00:41:28If you can't sleep
00:41:29Baby I know
00:41:30That Mia's for so
00:41:31That Mia's for so
00:41:33Is that sweet I guess so
00:41:36That's the Mia's for so
00:41:38Mmm
00:41:40That's the Mia's for so
00:41:42Yes!
00:41:43Oh my God
00:41:47Oh my God
00:41:49Oh my God
00:41:50Oh my God
00:41:51So bad
00:41:52Mia Fabola
00:41:53And Gustavo Villio
00:41:55Oh that
00:41:56Oh my gosh
00:41:57Why do I feel like an Aperol Spritz?
00:41:59That was so beautiful
00:42:01You're like a young Sophia Loren
00:42:03And you are like
00:42:05Mastroanni Mastroanni
00:42:07It is
00:42:08It's giving
00:42:09It's giving every Italian guy outside a youth hostel
00:42:12It's giving Euro trash
00:42:13I loved it Gustavo
00:42:15Thank you
00:42:16You are the most Italian man I know
00:42:18And it's hot
00:42:19Right
00:42:20Now let's talk about you Mia
00:42:22Your mum was on the show
00:42:23Your mum was on the show
00:42:24Your mum Alex was on the show
00:42:25Yes
00:42:26And she was beautiful
00:42:27Your dad turned up as well
00:42:30Your mum was beautiful
00:42:32They're both over here
00:42:34Oh my goodness
00:42:35Are you crying Alex?
00:42:36Are you?
00:42:37Oh I just
00:42:38I just cannot believe how amazing you were Mia
00:42:41Oh my God
00:42:42It was amazing
00:42:43Thank you
00:42:44Thank you
00:42:45What did you think Dad?
00:42:47Ah very proud
00:42:48She's got me covered already
00:42:50I was horrible
00:42:51What do you think about your new Italian son-in-law?
00:42:53Ah
00:42:54My son-in-law is over there
00:42:55Oh oops
00:42:56Oh
00:42:59They look the same sort of
00:43:02Wow
00:43:03Well I thought that was pretty amazing
00:43:04How did
00:43:05Did you love it?
00:43:06Yeah
00:43:07I'm very emotional
00:43:08Just seeing my mum cry
00:43:09Oh I know
00:43:10It's going to be over the edge
00:43:11Um
00:43:12Yeah I've loved every second of it
00:43:13I have the most amazing partner I could have asked for
00:43:16Yeah
00:43:17He's so supportive
00:43:18Yes
00:43:19He's an incredible teacher
00:43:20But an even better friend
00:43:22He's been amazing
00:43:23And it's
00:43:24I'm loving every second of it
00:43:25Yeah we can see it on the dance floor
00:43:26Let's get some of the judges comments
00:43:28Now
00:43:29Shana
00:43:30I can see all the hard work you did on a cha cha technique
00:43:32And I want to commend you on that
00:43:33Because that's really hard
00:43:34You looked really great doing it
00:43:35I'd love to see some more dynamics from you
00:43:38And I think that's going to come from you having a bit more confidence out here on the floor
00:43:41I hope
00:43:42That you know after tonight that you've really got something
00:43:45And that you can really actually do this
00:43:47So if you let Gustavo push you just that little bit further
00:43:50Choreographically and dynamically
00:43:52I think you're going to truly do something special out here
00:43:55But you are a joy to watch
00:43:56Thank you so much
00:43:57Thank you Shana
00:43:58Craig
00:44:01I thought you sat back on it
00:44:04And I know that you're capable of more
00:44:06I would like to have seen a little bit more attack in there
00:44:08A little bit more excitement
00:44:10I felt like you walked out and it was a catwalk version of the dance
00:44:15You know rather than really going smash pow
00:44:18But you've surprised me
00:44:19I really, really liked it
00:44:22A lot
00:44:27Helen
00:44:28Yeah, look, you know, I think
00:44:30When you gain in confidence
00:44:32And you can come out of your shell a little bit more
00:44:34You're going to be absolutely beautiful
00:44:36And the thing that I loved very much was
00:44:39Gustavo
00:44:40You didn't overpower her
00:44:42You see?
00:44:43Yes, I know
00:44:44See?
00:44:45We've heard you do this before
00:44:46No, but actually
00:44:47I thought you danced with her absolutely beautifully
00:44:49Because she's fragile right at this moment
00:44:53And you have the looks of your mother, fortunately
00:44:57Thank God
00:45:00He's never going to speak to me again
00:45:02That's okay
00:45:03He didn't play for Collingwood anyway
00:45:05Yeah, exactly
00:45:06Look, it just needs to be bigger and bolder
00:45:09So well done
00:45:10Thank you
00:45:11Mark
00:45:14Mia, let's just say
00:45:16Now you know you can do this
00:45:17Let's just go from there
00:45:19I'm saying nothing negative
00:45:20Because mum and dad are here
00:45:22Dad's very big
00:45:23Love your work
00:45:24Fabulous answer
00:45:25Well done
00:45:27Thank you
00:45:28What did you think of those comments?
00:45:30I'm more than happy to take all of the constructive criticism
00:45:33I need it
00:45:34I have no dense experience and these are the experts
00:45:37But Craig saying nice things is weird
00:45:40Oh, shocking
00:45:41It is a bit weird
00:45:42I actually think he secretly got a bit of a thing going about Gustavo
00:45:46Because Craig told me
00:45:48Craig told me that he's invented a step and it's called the Gustavo, right?
00:45:53It is indeed, darling
00:45:54Come down and show everybody
00:45:55Come on
00:45:56I will
00:45:57I will
00:45:58I will
00:45:59Come on
00:46:00Darling
00:46:01You're gonna love this
00:46:02Okay
00:46:03I want that dress
00:46:04As well
00:46:05I'm set
00:46:06We set it to a salsa
00:46:07And so just so everyone at home can do this as well
00:46:11It's just literally that
00:46:12Forward and back basic
00:46:13Right
00:46:14Well, we do the Gustavo with it
00:46:16So we do
00:46:20And now I've got hair darling
00:46:23I've got hair
00:46:24It's the head flick
00:46:26I love it
00:46:28Love you
00:46:29Love you too
00:46:30Congratulations
00:46:31Thank you
00:46:32Thank you
00:46:33Thank you Craig
00:46:34Ciao
00:46:35Ciao
00:46:36Ciao
00:46:37Arrivederci
00:46:38Oh, now I need you guys to go up to the skybox
00:46:40What's the Italian word for skybox?
00:46:42Gustavo
00:46:43Skybox
00:46:44Skybox
00:46:45Okay
00:46:46Grazie
00:46:47See you later
00:46:48Ciao
00:46:51Let's have a look back at that fantastic cha-cha makes me just want to go straight to the Evolfi coat
00:46:56With these two Mia Favola and Gustavo Miglio giving it their all
00:47:03Well done, come on over here, good on you Mia, that was fantastic
00:47:06Thank you
00:47:07What has happened to Craig?
00:47:09You seem to bring out another side to him
00:47:11I cooked pasta for him once
00:47:13Did you really?
00:47:14He never forgets does he?
00:47:15Now Gustavo, you were big about Mia selling
00:47:18You wanted her to sell the dance, houses, apartments, all sorts of things
00:47:22Mia, did you feel like you sold?
00:47:25I tried my best
00:47:26I gave it my all
00:47:27Honestly, I can't even really remember any of it
00:47:29It's all a blur
00:47:30So I'm hoping I sold
00:47:31I don't think you did
00:47:33I thought it was great
00:47:34You looked like you were having a great time
00:47:35You're such a, my God, such a beautiful man

00:48:17But up next is Osher Ginsberg
00:48:19Don't go anywhere
00:48:20This is Dancing with the Stars
00:48:21Dancing with the Stars
00:48:22Welcome back to Dancing with the Stars 2025
00:48:24Now our next celebrity is no stranger to the spotlight
00:48:28As a TV host he's helped singers find their voices and bachelors find their soulmates
00:48:29But can he find his rhythm on the dance floor?
00:48:30Let's see how rehearsals have been going for Osher Ginsberg
00:48:31G'day, I'm Osher Ginsberg

00:48:48and bachelors find their soul mates.
00:48:51But can he find his rhythm on the dance floor?
00:48:54Let's see how rehearsals have been going for Osher Ginsberg.
00:49:00G'day, I'm Osher Ginsberg.
00:49:01I host television.
00:49:03Mostly around music.
00:49:04And I worked on a singing show called Australian Idol.
00:49:07So this is it, Australia.
00:49:08The winner of Australian Idol is...
00:49:13And then I worked on a dating show
00:49:15that involved roses and romance.
00:49:18Triana is astoundingly professional.
00:49:21There's no accident that she is a world champion.
00:49:23She's incredibly focused.
00:49:25As she is the parent of a three-year-old,
00:49:28which gives her the exact skill set to deal with me.
00:49:31I think anyone can learn how to dance.
00:49:33I'm here to challenge that hypothesis.
00:49:38Let's see how we go.
00:49:41I'm a 50-year-old man whose body doesn't move very well.
00:49:45Oh!
00:49:46And down to the leg.
00:49:47I'm dancing on hip number one and hip number five.
00:49:50Oh, my goodness.
00:49:51Yeah, so I've had three hip replacements.
00:49:54Yeah, push with the heel.
00:49:56Osher explains it's like learning how to walk again.
00:49:59In actual fact, I think that's going to do us a favour
00:50:02because we can slot into that how his body can dance.
00:50:07OK, so you're going to go forward on the left.
00:50:09So slow fox strike requires a lot of control.
00:50:12And you're going to draw a little circle behind that way.
00:50:15Most of the muscles that are supposed to keep my hips straight
00:50:18when I'm turning don't really work properly.
00:50:21I'm so frustrated at the glacial pace of my progress.
00:50:26It's not you.
00:50:27I think Osher may struggle with letting go of some of the detail.
00:50:32I need to be able to get him more into the dance.
00:50:35Three, four, and here and five.
00:50:42I've watched my stepdaughter, Georgia, dance since I met her.
00:50:45She's able to move her body to express who she is
00:50:48and express her feelings so immensely.
00:50:51I just look at her and be like,
00:50:53man, I'd love to be able to do that one day.
00:50:54I don't think I'm going to get there.
00:50:56I might.
00:50:56Yes, that's better.
00:50:58But hopefully through doing this,
00:51:00I can show you how much of an inspiration she's been to me.
00:51:04Because that's a really big part of why I'm doing this.
00:51:09Please welcome to the floor,
00:51:11Osher Ginsberg and Sreani Argate,
00:51:14dancing the Foxtrot.
00:51:24I've got sunshine.
00:51:28On a cloudy day.
00:51:34When it's cold outside.
00:51:38I've got the month of May.
00:51:43I guess you say,
00:51:47What can make me feel this way?
00:51:51My girl.
00:51:55Talk about my girl.
00:51:58I'm she.
00:52:00I'm she.
00:52:12The or.
00:52:17But I'm she.
00:52:18I'm I.
00:52:19I'm she.
00:52:20I'm.
00:52:20I'm her.
00:52:21I'm.
00:52:21I'm she.
00:52:21I'm.
00:52:21Yeah, baby, my girl
00:52:27Talk about my girl
00:52:32I've got sunshine on a cloudy day
00:52:39My girl, my girl
00:52:51Osher Ginsberg and his partner Sriani
00:52:58Come on over here, Osher
00:53:01Now I'm going to think of you as the host with the most head replacements
00:53:06Yeah, I have no idea how much more comfortable it feels holding this thing in my hand
00:53:10I bet, I bet
00:53:11No, but I get it, I get it
00:53:13Because you're used to being the host, right?
00:53:15Yes, I said yes to this because I think it's important to do things that allow you to access
00:53:21Humility
00:53:22And you just all witnessed a man being humbled
00:53:24But thankfully saved a number of times by the glorious Sriani
00:53:29So thank you for that
00:53:30Yeah, she is a wonderful dancer
00:53:33It's hard going, isn't it?
00:53:36Yeah, but look, you know, I got really lucky in my life
00:53:39And I got a wonderful wife that settled for me
00:53:41And I got osteoarthritis in my 30s
00:53:42And I'm like, well, I'm not going to let it stop me do stuff
00:53:44That's awesome
00:53:45You know, just because I can't walk in a straight line
00:53:47Doesn't mean I can't dance in a straight line
00:53:48Well, I can't dance in a straight line
00:53:49But look, you know, we'll see what happens
00:53:50Absolutely
00:53:51Should we get some of the judges' comments?
00:53:54I plead, feedback is a breakfast of champions and I am hungry
00:53:56Brilliant, alright
00:53:57Helen
00:53:58Well, listen, between you, Craig and me, it's geriatric city up here
00:54:03Because you've had three hip replacements, he's had two and I've had one
00:54:08Look, you've got the very hardest dance of all in the ballroom field to start off with
00:54:13And technically the legs and feet brush past one another consistently
00:54:18And yours weren't quite doing that for the most part
00:54:22Look, you've got work to do
00:54:24You need to improve the frame
00:54:27You need to improve the technique
00:54:28Yeah, just work on everything
00:54:32Noted, and thank you
00:54:35You're very welcome
00:54:36Shanna
00:54:36You were both dancing but not necessarily with each other in the way that ballroom dancing's meant
00:54:41So it gets a little discombobulated and you sort of bounce off each other and it can make you lose your balance
00:54:46So if you go back and really focus on that moving together as one and the actual connection with each other and body contact
00:54:53I think it will help you glide a little bit more
00:54:55I still really struggle with not, no, stop looking at her
00:54:57Is it a woman I'm dancing with and I can't look at her?
00:54:59No, don't look at her
00:55:00No, stay in your window
00:55:02That's where you're meant to be, out there to the left
00:55:04But yeah, I totally get it
00:55:06It's new for you
00:55:06And I so commend you on taking on this challenge
00:55:09On doing the thing that's hard
00:55:10And knowing that you're so respected in everything that you do
00:55:13And know that we only respect you even more for coming out here and doing the thing that's hard
00:55:18That's sweet of you, thank you
00:55:19Really well done, I'm very proud of you and I can't wait to see where you go from here
00:55:24Thank you so much
00:55:24Mark
00:55:25To be honest, you know, it was just, it wasn't good
00:55:29There's not a lot of good news I can give you
00:55:31As Helen said, the legs are supposed to trail under the body
00:55:35They didn't do that, there was no rise and fall
00:55:37That wasn't there, it's not part of the foxtrot
00:55:39So it was, um, was it joyous?
00:55:42Not quite sure if it was joyous
00:55:43Look, it was probably entertaining for the wrong reasons
00:55:46But thanks for coming
00:55:47You're welcome
00:55:50What?
00:55:52Who are you and what have you done with Mark?
00:55:54Well, you know, there are times when you've got to call as it is
00:55:57And I'm just calling it is
00:55:58It was, um, the jacket's nice
00:56:00I love your jacket
00:56:01Oh, that's okay
00:56:02That's about all
00:56:03Thanks, Craig
00:56:04Oh, sorry, Craig
00:56:05I've stolen your thunder, haven't I, Craig?
00:56:09You'll never do that, darling
00:56:11I am really at a loss for words
00:56:16Apart from a complete dance disaster
00:56:19It was unique
00:56:22You managed to make disaster more syllables than it is
00:56:27So I think that's a win for me
00:56:28Oh, what's that?
00:56:36Oh, sorry
00:56:37Also, the Bee Gees called and they want their look back, Craig
00:56:39I just thought I could slip that one in for you
00:56:45Um, why don't you head on up to the Skybox
00:56:48Why don't we?
00:56:49Uh, what did you think, audience?
00:56:50Should we give Osher a round of applause?
00:56:51See how we go
00:56:52Get on up there
00:56:53Here he is on the dance floor
00:56:58Mr. Television himself, Osher Ginsberg
00:57:02Giving it his all in his very first box-trop routine ever
00:57:08Lovely
00:57:12Moving right on in
00:57:13I do love it
00:57:14Look, Osher, I've got to ask
00:57:16With your TV experience
00:57:18Yes
00:57:18What should I ask you right now?
00:57:20How do you think you went?
00:57:22And then you let me tell you
00:57:23Well, that's deep
00:57:24Yeah
00:57:25That's intense
00:57:25Well, that's what I'd do
00:57:26Yeah, sure
00:57:26But it's not my show, so
00:57:28How are you finding it, being on the other side?
00:57:31This is very foreign to you
00:57:32Oh, absolutely
00:57:33But my wife and my stepdaughter are here in the crowd
00:57:35I'm like, I'm a dance dad
00:57:36I took G around convention centres all over this country
00:57:39And now I've got to dance on stage in front of her
00:57:42And that's a really cool thing to do
00:57:43Yeah
00:57:44It is, it is
00:57:45Look, it was fun, it was cool
00:57:48And then there were the judges' scores
00:57:51Will the judges please reveal their scores?
00:57:55Craig Revel Horwood
00:57:57One
00:57:57Helen Ritchie
00:57:59Three
00:58:00Shana Burgess
00:58:03Three
00:58:03Room for improvement
00:58:04Mark Wilson
00:58:05Double figures
00:58:06Come on, double figures
00:58:07Two
00:58:07Single figures
00:58:11Could you whisper to yourself right now?
00:58:14Like, you could have gone a little lower and made it seven, guys
00:58:16That would have been a bit more on brand
00:58:18Well done
00:58:22He is Mr. Television
00:58:24Osha, you'll like this
00:58:25This is a throw
00:58:26Are you ready?
00:58:27Look, coming up next
00:58:28I'll be taking you backstage
00:58:29With Rebecca Gibney and Harry Garside
00:58:32And then fresh from a rejuvenation clinic
00:58:35And some lengthy extradition proceedings
00:58:37Strictly Ballroom's own megastar Tina Sparkle performs a waltz
00:58:41That is next on Dancing with the Stars
00:58:44Welcome back to Dancing with the Stars
00:58:59Now, last time out
00:59:00We were dazzled by the work of our first group of stars
00:59:03Two of whom are here tonight
00:59:04Checking out the competition if you don't mind
00:59:07Please welcome Rebecca Gibney and Harry Garside
00:59:09First of all to you, Rebecca
00:59:13How does it feel tonight to be watching from the side
00:59:17Oh, it's such a relief
00:59:18I can't tell you
00:59:19I mean, the pressure's off
00:59:20But at the same time, we're feeling for these guys
00:59:22Because we've all been training together
00:59:24And supporting each other
00:59:25And I dress like Craig
00:59:26So I've got to say
00:59:27We match
00:59:28But I would have given them much higher scores
00:59:30There you go
00:59:33To you, Harry
00:59:34You started with the jive
00:59:36A very hard dance step
00:59:38Oh, it was definitely
00:59:40I think it matches my energy, the jive
00:59:42I've got such high energy
00:59:43But I think my brain was working faster than my feet
00:59:46It was all over the shop
00:59:47So a lot to learn from that one
00:59:49So I'm happy to get that one done
00:59:51And I'm excited for the rest of the competition
00:59:52Speaking of the competition
00:59:54Tonight gives you a very good opportunity
00:59:56To really size up the opponents
00:59:59Do you see some threats there?
01:00:01So far, everyone's been amazing, honestly
01:00:03I really like Gustavo and Mia
01:00:05I feel like they really brought the energy
01:00:07So I think everyone so far has been incredible
01:00:09So I'm getting a little bit nervous
01:00:10I want to take home that mirror ball
01:00:11With my partner, Siobhan
01:00:12So I'm getting nervous
01:00:13I like it, I like it
01:00:15You were pretty good last time
01:00:16I've got to say
01:00:16Thanks for joining us, both of you
01:00:19Now, ever since he arrived here
01:00:21Our reigning champion, Ian Waite
01:00:23Has had one single wish
01:00:25Sure, winning the mirror ball trophy is great
01:00:28But he's always dreamt of dancing
01:00:29With Strictly Ballroom star, Tina Sparkle
01:00:32Yeah, so after numerous phone calls
01:00:36Negotiations and a conditional release
01:00:39From a Swiss wellness centre
01:00:40We have managed to make Ian's dream come true
01:00:44Ladies and gentlemen
01:00:45Performing a waltz
01:00:46Please put your hands together
01:00:47For our current champion, Ian Waite
01:00:49And I still can't believe I'm saying this
01:00:51Miss Tina Sparkle
01:00:53Love is a walk in the park
01:01:18That's how I feel at the start
01:01:20Pretty and tunicous dark
01:01:22Love is a walk in the park
01:01:25Till you get bit by a dog
01:01:27I never knew you could bark
01:01:29When the seasons change
01:01:33You won't feel the same at all
01:01:39Because summer will turn into fall
01:01:46When you leave me if you're gone
01:01:54You don't need me at all
01:02:01Like the trees in the autumn breeze
01:02:08It's ironic the way that you live
01:02:16It's ironic the way that you live
01:02:30You don't need me at all
01:02:31You just can't believe
01:02:39But I still don't know
01:02:44Tina, there you go.
01:03:05Tina, this is a microphone.
01:03:09There you go.
01:03:10You're speaking to that.
01:03:11That's nice, isn't it?
01:03:12Wow.
01:03:13What an incredible performance that was.
01:03:15That was beautiful, don't you think?
01:03:19Thank you so much.
01:03:21It's about my incredible partner, Ian Waite, in all honesty.
01:03:26Flying around the floor with him is probably a highlight, a highlight of my life.
01:03:32I really loved it.
01:03:33Thank you so much.
01:03:35Honestly, Tina, you made my dreams come true.
01:03:40That's all I can say.
01:03:41You're welcome.
01:03:41All right, shall we see what the judges thought about this performance?
01:03:45What do you think?
01:03:46Ten.
01:03:47Ten.
01:03:49Ten.
01:03:51Nine point nine.
01:03:55It just had to be, didn't it?
01:03:57Darling, thank you.
01:03:58On the other side of this break, Sean McAuliffe will be quick-stepping onto the dance floor.
01:04:04Do not go anywhere.
01:04:05Welcome back.
01:04:19Did I miss anything?
01:04:20No?
01:04:21Good.
01:04:22All right.
01:04:22Our final celebrity tonight is a bit of a genius.
01:04:25He's a comedian with television, theatre and film credits to his name and the author of no less than ten books.
01:04:32Frankly, he's a bit of an overachiever.
01:04:35But can he dance?
01:04:37Well, let's see how rehearsals were for Sean McAuliffe.
01:04:41I'm Sean McAuliffe and I am a television comic.
01:04:45I produce, write and perform in comedy shows.
01:04:51I'm very well known because I've been on the TV.
01:04:55Now dance.
01:04:56I'm very excited to dance with Sean.
01:04:59Really?
01:05:00Yeah.
01:05:01I think it's a waste of Ashley's ability.
01:05:03A lot of people are asking me, why on earth am I doing this?
01:05:07I thought when I agreed to it that this was Farmer Wants A Wife.
01:05:11But I'm very pleased that I'll be dafted by Ashley.
01:05:14Ashley has won twice.
01:05:17Just once.
01:05:17Just once.
01:05:18Maybe twice.
01:05:18Well, maybe I'm manifesting inadvertently.
01:05:21The competition dancer and keen amateur.
01:05:27Yep.
01:05:27So that's you.
01:05:28You're a competition dancer.
01:05:29Yep.
01:05:29And I'm a keen amateur.
01:05:31I have been doing some homework in preparation for Dancing with Ashley.
01:05:35My sister gave me this book, Ballroom Dancing.
01:05:37It's by Alex Moore.
01:05:38I figure if I read that book, then I could probably take a few days off.
01:05:42Working with Sean is very interesting.
01:05:44He's done his research.
01:05:45He's got his ballroom book.
01:05:46He's up for it, which is great.
01:05:48Thumb down?
01:05:49Yep, thumb down.
01:05:50Well, Craig will get cross.
01:05:51Craig doesn't like this.
01:05:52He likes this.
01:05:53Like that.
01:05:54So what does he do when he likes a performance?
01:05:56Does he go like this?
01:05:57Yeah, thumb down.
01:05:58Or does he go like this?
01:05:59Heel, heel, toe, tuck.
01:06:01This quick step routine that I've created for Sean, I haven't kept it simple.
01:06:05Pop, step, pop, run, run, run, all on toes.
01:06:08Are they the lyrics to the song?
01:06:10Two, three, up.
01:06:11I think the biggest challenge with this particular dance is making sure that I can do that as well
01:06:18as make sure the feet are doing the same thing.
01:06:20Heel, toe.
01:06:22I did this.
01:06:23No, you didn't.
01:06:23I did it.
01:06:24I was on the toe.
01:06:25We are doing six to eight hours a day of training, which is a lot.
01:06:29Heel, heel, toe, toe, toe.
01:06:31Yes.
01:06:32What's that?
01:06:33It deserves a high five.
01:06:35You're going to hit me.
01:06:36The stamina you require for that is quite intense.
01:06:40Heel, heel.
01:06:41Yeah, I did it.
01:06:42I did it.
01:06:42No, you did it.
01:06:43I did.
01:06:43What, the wrong foot?
01:06:44You're not getting a high five.
01:06:46I imagine I'll get better.
01:06:47By the time that we finish this package and we dissolve, it's really some sparkles to us
01:06:52on the floor.
01:06:53I'll be ready to go.
01:06:58Dancing the quick step.
01:06:59Please welcome Sean McAuliffe and his partner, Ashley Hunter.
01:07:29I'll be right back.
01:07:59I'll be right back.
01:08:29Sean McAuliffe and his partner, Ashley Hunter.
01:08:41Wow.
01:08:43Sean.
01:08:47Snow angels.
01:08:49Snow angels in the glitter.
01:08:51What an amazing performance, first of all.
01:08:55Thank you very much.
01:08:56You're just, you're just sunshine.
01:08:59This face is just, I think we can consider you to be the thinking woman's crumpet.
01:09:04Am I right, Helen?
01:09:06Don't look at me when you say that, Sonia.
01:09:08I'm saying the thinking woman's crumpet.
01:09:09I'll appeal to idiots as well.
01:09:14How was that for you?
01:09:16It was hard.
01:09:18It was not as easy as I thought, but I loved it, darling.
01:09:22Oh, darling.
01:09:23That's so cool.
01:09:24No, I did love it.
01:09:26I did enjoy it very much.
01:09:28I'm a big fan of musicals.
01:09:30Yeah.
01:09:31Because I like watching them.
01:09:32I think I enjoy them because I can't do it.
01:09:34No, but you can do it.
01:09:35My first chance.
01:09:36So, thank you so much, Channel 7.
01:09:38You most definitely can do it, can't he, Ash?
01:09:40Good Lord.
01:09:41I mean, he's amazing.
01:09:41Really, he did so well.
01:09:42I'm so proud of him.
01:09:44Yeah, unbelievable.
01:09:45You didn't hold back on the choreography.
01:09:47There were hops and skips and jumps and fast feet,
01:09:49and your timing was amazing.
01:09:51Well, that's nice coming from you
01:09:52because you know what you're doing.
01:09:55I'm sort of faking it, really.
01:09:56But anyway, let's hear from the people who don't.
01:09:58No, no, I'm good.
01:09:59OK.
01:09:59OK, shall we go next?
01:10:03I'd love to.
01:10:04Who are we going to hear from first?
01:10:04I think contractually we have to hear from them.
01:10:06Shana.
01:10:07Sean, I've got to tell you,
01:10:08I think dancing just might be another thing that you can do.
01:10:12Thank you, Shana.
01:10:13You're very kind.
01:10:14So you are incredibly light on your feet,
01:10:17and that was really, really fun to watch.
01:10:19But the most spectacular thing is what you bring to it.
01:10:22And there's technical stuff we need to work on.
01:10:25Yes, your frame, I love the effort in it,
01:10:27but it's still a little hunched and chin up.
01:10:29You've got to get the shoulders back,
01:10:30the heart up, and the chin out.
01:10:31Is that right?
01:10:32Yeah.
01:10:33Just a smidge.
01:10:33It's a little bit right.
01:10:34It's a little bit right.
01:10:35I promise I know what I'm talking about.
01:10:37All right.
01:10:38Ash, you created a phenomenal routine.
01:10:40I say this to you probably every season,
01:10:42but the way you create for your partners is spectacular.
01:10:45Thank you, Shana.
01:10:45The way you create sections for them to be able to digest them,
01:10:48it's just wonderful.
01:10:49And as a result, you shone tonight because of that.
01:10:52Shone.
01:10:53Yeah, sorry.
01:10:54Shone.
01:10:55To be sure.
01:10:57I absolutely loved it.
01:11:00I love you.
01:11:00I just can't wait to see more of you.
01:11:02Thank you, Shana.
01:11:02That's very kind.
01:11:03Oh, it's so good.
01:11:05Mark.
01:11:05Well, it was so pantomime, you know, and I think that's the thing.
01:11:08What?
01:11:08I love you, Mark.
01:11:09He's behind you.
01:11:11Yes.
01:11:12It was so much fun, and I think that's the art of,
01:11:15the fact that you've got now to perform on a stage like this,
01:11:18something you've always wanted to do,
01:11:20and you are so entertaining, and you danced quick step.
01:11:24You have a quarter turn, and there was chassés and stuff
01:11:26that we love to see.
01:11:27It's really quick step, and it was fun all the way through,
01:11:30and the skill that you seem to have, which is what makes you great,
01:11:35Shone, is that you can put all that together, have fun,
01:11:38still dance quick step, and stay in time the whole time
01:11:41and bring us on a journey.
01:11:42I just loved it.
01:11:44There was so much wrong, but it's so much right.
01:11:46Yes, yes.
01:11:47I'm happy.
01:11:47Thank you, Mark.
01:11:48Yeah.
01:11:50Great.
01:11:50Yeah, absolutely.
01:11:51Technically a disaster.
01:11:53Technically rubbish, darling.
01:11:55But, you know...
01:11:56Not a disaster.
01:11:57What I'm hearing is that you loved it.
01:11:59I tell you what.
01:12:02I did.
01:12:03I loved it, Doc.
01:12:05Yes.
01:12:07Wow.
01:12:08First appearance.
01:12:08Thank you, Craig.
01:12:09That's very kind.
01:12:10You're welcome.
01:12:10Any time.
01:12:11Savion Blanc, darling, I'll show you.
01:12:13A bottle.
01:12:14That's the way to Craig's heart, if you didn't know.
01:12:17Any kind of cheap white wine will do.
01:12:19Helen.
01:12:20Helen.
01:12:21A shoeie.
01:12:22What a pleasure it is to be judged by you.
01:12:25I haven't said anything yet.
01:12:27Let's hope we can wind it up.
01:12:30Well, I'm just mad as hell, because I thought you were going to be crap, and you weren't.
01:12:36You were actually terrific.
01:12:38It was light, bright.
01:12:40It was a quick step.
01:12:41Perhaps the facial expressions were a little bit over the top.
01:12:45No, that was spectacular.
01:12:46Don't change them.
01:12:47I love them.
01:12:48But it just shows you that there is life in the young man yet.
01:12:52Thank you very much, Helen.
01:12:53That is very kind of you.
01:12:54Well, what do you think about those judges' comments?
01:12:59You know, I couldn't be more delighted.
01:13:02You know, I had no expectations coming in, and I haven't been disappointed.
01:13:06Actually, we loved it.
01:13:11You know what, Sean?
01:13:12You are absolutely hilarious.
01:13:14I find you slightly intimidating.
01:13:15Do you want this back?
01:13:16You're very intelligent.
01:13:17No, you can keep that.
01:13:18All right.
01:13:19Take it up to see Chris up in the skybox.
01:13:21Well, we have a look back at the fantastic Sean McCollum dancing a quick step with a nautical
01:13:31theme and nailing it.
01:13:34Naughty the Great.
01:13:36Thank you, thank you, thank you.
01:13:38Ah, Chris, what are you doing here?
01:13:40Oh, you don't get this on the ABC, do you?
01:13:41No, no, nothing.
01:13:42We don't get it.
01:13:43Applause, love.
01:13:44We don't get an audience.
01:13:45And on the taxpayer's dollar either.
01:13:46Sure.
01:13:47Can I ask you, on behalf of everyone, what are you chewing when you're dancing?
01:13:52Oh, no, no, that's acting.
01:13:53That's acting, yeah.
01:13:54I was in Sea Change.
01:13:56Do you remember that?
01:13:56That was on the ABC.
01:13:57I do.
01:13:57Many years ago.
01:13:58And that's just one of the skills I have, isn't it?
01:14:01Full method.
01:14:03Yeah, yeah.
01:14:03I am putty.
01:14:04I have no form or shape or substance.
01:14:07And Ashley Hunter has moulded me into the genius dancer you see before you now.
01:14:13Wow.
01:14:14And it is a thing to behold, especially in those outfits.
01:14:16We do love every single moment.
01:14:18It is now time for the judges' scores.
01:14:21The judges' scores are in.
01:14:23Craig Revel Horwood.
01:14:25Five.
01:14:26Helen Ritchie.
01:14:27Seven.
01:14:29Shana Burgess.
01:14:30Six.
01:14:32Mark Wilson.
01:14:33Six.
01:14:35That's healthy.
01:14:36That's reasonable.
01:14:37It is a score of 24, Sean McCarl.
01:14:39That's pretty good.
01:14:40That's the highest score I've ever had on the show.
01:14:42It is indeed.
01:14:44In fact, if you look at the full-time leaderboard right now, which is a format thing, Sean, we
01:14:49will see that you're actually at the top of the, oh, it's equal top of the leaderboard.
01:14:54Equal with Kyle and Lily.
01:14:56Happy to be there.
01:14:57We'll get rid of them in a couple of weeks.
01:14:59Yeah, I'm sure you will.
01:15:01Sonia, back to you.
01:15:02Wow.
01:15:03What a fantastic evening.
01:15:05Why don't we take a quick look back at tonight's spectacular performances.
01:15:11Felicity set the tone with her powerful pattern.
01:15:13AMAS into themes.
01:15:16OK.
01:15:19Kyle charmed us with his cha-cha-cha.
01:15:27KARRINA GLIDED AROUND THE FLOOR IN HER HEARNESS WALT.
01:15:40MIA EXPRESSES HERSELF IN A VERY IMPRESSIVE CHA-CHATE.
01:15:43And Sean McAuliffe showed off his fancy footwork
01:16:02in his quick step.
01:16:10What a brilliant night that was.
01:16:12He had it all, Sonia.
01:16:13It really did.
01:16:14All of our couples were fantastic.
01:16:16And shout out to Ian and Tina.
01:16:17Indeed.
01:16:19I think Tina's left the building somehow.
01:16:21She's gone, yeah.
01:16:21Look, I've got a funny feeling that the performances,
01:16:24they're only going to get even better next time, Sonia.
01:16:27And you know what?
01:16:27They will need to be better.
01:16:29They will because next time when our six couples
01:16:31from the first team over here return to the floor,
01:16:34they're competing to avoid elimination.
01:16:37And not only do they need to impress the judges,
01:16:39but they also have to impress our studio audience
01:16:42who will be voting.
01:16:44Wow.
01:16:44And they are going to be drunk with power.
01:16:47Absolutely.
01:16:47Until next time, though.
01:16:49Good night, Australia.
01:16:50We came equal top, but that's nice to me.
01:16:56We're in good company.
01:16:57So good.
01:16:58I just want to do it again.
01:17:00Oh.
01:17:01Oh, two, three.
01:17:02Tuck, tuck, tuck.
01:17:05Sorry to have disappointed you with a single digit.
01:17:08Sorry, you did.
01:17:08But we're the number one of the lowest scoring teams tonight,
01:17:12which I think is a win.
01:17:13That's pretty good.
01:17:24This is the night Rebecca Gibney gives a performance
01:17:29so very close to her heart.
01:17:32That's my wedding song.
01:17:34That'll make me cry.
01:17:39And in breaking news,
01:17:40why Michael Usher is dressed as Xena Warrior Princess.
01:17:44I mean...
01:17:45You've never...
01:17:47I think my black hair dye is running.
01:17:49Hang on a minute.
01:17:49I've seen them like this.
01:17:52Yeah.
01:17:52I won't be able to dance, but jeez, I look hot.
01:17:54There'll be high kicks and even higher sass.
01:17:58But I'd actually like to do something with you,
01:18:00and I'm talking about dancing.
01:18:02For their very first elimination night.
01:18:06Well, it is elimination night
01:18:07and you can never be too prepared with your bags packed.
01:18:11That was hot.
01:18:15This can't be the move.
01:18:17Who will leave a show-stopping Dancing with the Stars
01:18:21next Sunday?
