00:00:00Last time on Dancing with the Stars, our first group of celebrities return to the ballroom.
00:00:13I'd actually like to take you home with my husband and my husband.
00:00:16Tough guy Harry Garsai dug deep.
00:00:18You're a man that beats man up for a living.
00:00:20And then you can come out here and show raw emotion.
00:00:23Wowing the crowd with a vulnerable performance.
00:00:26You did absolutely brilliantly.
00:00:30While podcaster Brittany Hockley and AFL legend Trent Conchon fought for pole position.
00:00:36A score of 31 and straight to the top.
00:00:40The remaining celebs faced a possible farewell.
00:00:44Our first elimination night.
00:00:47And Olympic champion Susie O'Neill became the first dancing star to leave the competition.
00:00:53I wouldn't be able to dance, because I look hot.
00:00:55Tonight, our second group of celebrities are back on the dance floor.
00:01:04Returning to put their best foot forward, it's comedian Felicity Ward.
00:01:09TV comic Sean McAuliffe.
00:01:127 News presenter Carina Cavaglio.
00:01:14TV host Osher Ginsberg.
00:01:18Brand influencer Mia Favola.
00:01:20And Home of the Way actor Kyle Schilling.
00:01:23All right.
00:01:451 minus 1.
00:01:50We're here.
00:01:51From the studios of Channel 7, this is Dancing with the Stars.
00:02:06Please welcome your hosts, Sonia Kruger and Chris Brown.
00:02:21Hello, hello everybody. Welcome to Dancing with the Stars where our celebrities will attempt
00:02:29to do something they've never done before and most likely will never do again. Tonight
00:02:34our second group of stars will hit the dance floor hoping to impress the judges with some
00:02:39spectacular routines and they will need to be outstanding.
00:02:44Absolutely Sonia because tonight they all know that someone is going home. Sad but
00:02:50true. Just like last time when we sadly farewelled Susie O'Neill and her partner Leeu from the
00:02:55competition. That's right. But it's not just the judges that tonight's couples have
00:02:59to impress our studio audience. Hello. You guys will also have a whole lot of influence
00:03:06on tonight's outcome because your votes will be combined with the judges scores to determine
00:03:11who stays in the ballroom and who will dance off into the sunset.
00:03:14Yes, off they go. Look, some of our audience may already have their favourite stars I'm
00:03:19sure and maybe cheering for them no matter what. But Celebrity Clout, it is not going
00:03:24to get our couples anywhere with these four fierce individuals.
00:03:28That's right. Please welcome...
00:03:29That's right. Please welcome...
00:03:30The judges.
00:03:31Helen Ritchie.
00:03:32Mark Wilson.
00:03:33Sharda Burgess.
00:03:34And Craig Rebel-Halwood.
00:03:35And Craig Rebel-Halwood.
00:03:42And Craig Rebel-Halwood.
00:03:48Oh, yes. Fantastic. How good are our judges? Yes, make some noise. Show them some love.
00:03:55They like that. They're quite meaty. They are. They are. I've got to say, in the animal
00:04:02world I'm familiar with the pink panther but I've never seen a pink cheetah before.
00:04:04He's feeling extra catty tonight, aren't he? I am feeling very catty.
00:04:11Ooh. Well, another elimination night. And the first time for this team. They're very nervous.
00:04:23The best of luck to all of you for tonight's couples. The boys.
00:04:28It's very, very lovely, very beautiful.
00:04:32night and
00:04:33the first time for this team
00:04:36they're very nervous. The best of
00:04:38luck to all of you. For tonight's
00:04:40couples, The Ballroom Awaits, please
00:04:42welcome our Dancing
00:04:44Stars.
00:04:47Home and Away star
00:04:48Kyle Schilling and his partner
00:04:50Lily Cornish.
00:04:53Journalist and news presenter
00:04:54Karina Cavaglio and her partner
00:04:56Andre Gorbanov.
00:04:58Brand influencer
00:05:00Mia Favola and her partner Gustavo
00:05:02Viglio.
00:05:04Comedian and TV host Sean McAuliffe
00:05:06and his partner Ashley Hunter.
00:05:09Television host and
00:05:10podcaster Osher Ginsberg and
00:05:12his partner Sreani Argate.
00:05:15And actor
00:05:16and comedian Felicity Ward and her
00:05:18partner Arikia Goodkin.
00:05:23Welcome back everyone.
00:05:25Don't they look amazing?
00:05:26They really don't. Sean, sorry.
00:05:28I think Wheel of Fortune's shooting in the
00:05:30studio next door.
00:05:33Nice jacket.
00:05:34First up tonight, it's Kyle Schilling
00:05:36who started this series with an upbeat
00:05:39cha-cha. Tonight he's slowing
00:05:41it down with a graceful Viennese waltz.
00:05:43Let's check out Kyle's rehearsal.
00:05:50Our second dance, the Viennese waltz.
00:05:52It is so difficult to move around each other
00:05:55at that speed.
00:05:56One, two, three, change.
00:05:58Two, three.
00:06:00Change, yep.
00:06:02One, two, three.
00:06:04The hand should be here.
00:06:06I think one of my biggest struggles
00:06:08is not getting in my head.
00:06:10I think just let your body flow a little bit.
00:06:13Yeah.
00:06:13And it will come a little...
00:06:14Yeah, I'm thinking too much.
00:06:16I get a bit frustrated with myself,
00:06:19so I'm hoping that I can calm that side of me down.
00:06:22One.
00:06:22Wrong leg.
00:06:23Ah!
00:06:25Right leg, right leg, right leg.
00:06:27One.
00:06:28One, two, three.
00:06:30What am I...
00:06:30Bit on the right leg.
00:06:32Sometimes the simplest of things
00:06:33that you can't get because you're just in your head.
00:06:35But then I ask him to throw me around
00:06:38and do a tricky lift that I don't even know
00:06:39will be able to do,
00:06:40and he absolutely smashes it.
00:06:43It's extremely important to get this right.
00:06:47Heel, toe, rise, toe, lower.
00:06:49So have I completely stuffened this up?
00:06:56Dancing the Viennese waltz,
00:06:58please welcome Kyle Schilling
00:07:00and his partner, Lily Cornish.
00:07:02Something's got a hold of me lately
00:07:12No, I don't know myself anymore
00:07:16Feels like the walls are all closing in
00:07:21And the devil's knocking at my door
00:07:25Don't you know
00:07:27I lose control
00:07:32When you're not next to me
00:07:37I'm falling apart right in front of you
00:07:44Can't you see
00:07:45I'm falling apart
00:07:47I'm falling apart
00:07:47I'm losing control
00:07:49I'm losing control
00:07:50When you're not next to me
00:07:55Mm-hmm
00:07:57Yeah, you're breaking my heart, baby
00:08:00You make a mess of me
00:08:03Yeah, you're breaking my heart, baby
00:08:18You make a mess of me
00:08:21For Kyle Schilling and his partner, Lily Cornish.
00:08:40Oh, my goodness.
00:08:42What a way to kick off the show.
00:08:46Spectacular is one word I can use to describe that.
00:08:49But I want to know, Kyle
00:08:50You had trouble remembering the steps, right?
00:08:53In the choreography
00:08:54But you're an actor and you have to learn lines
00:08:57So how do you remember your lines?
00:09:01It's such a weird concept between the two worlds, you know?
00:09:05One's a movement, one's action
00:09:07The other one's just sitting up inside your mind
00:09:10And it's just something I haven't done for a very long time.
00:09:13Well, we wish you could dance and dance and dance
00:09:14Because that was pretty good, wasn't it?
00:09:19How did you feel about it?
00:09:22I felt really good.
00:09:24I got to dance it
00:09:25Alongside my amazing dance partner, Lily
00:09:28Yeah, she's incredible
00:09:29I got to dance it in front of my beautiful parents
00:09:32Oh, hello
00:09:33How wonderful
00:09:35Let's get some judges' comments for you
00:09:37Shana
00:09:38Okay, well, listen
00:09:40I have always been a fan of when I'm on that side of this desk
00:09:44Pushing boundaries and breaking rules
00:09:46And I freaking loved that routine from you guys
00:09:48So yes, Lily, I want you to know and have confidence in what you create
00:09:56You're a wonderful choreographer
00:09:57And what I think is really going to help you, Kyle
00:09:59Because you are actually a phenomenal dancer
00:10:01Thank you
00:10:02You are a phenomenal dancer
00:10:03The lines you hit, the presence that you have
00:10:05What you create is beautiful
00:10:06But you need to learn how to lead
00:10:09I think it's going to change everything for you
00:10:11Because what's happening is you're dancing amazingly on your own
00:10:14But the beautiful thing about ballroom dancing
00:10:17Is that the man leads the woman
00:10:18And I'm missing that aspect in your dancing
00:10:21And honestly, out of everyone in this competition
00:10:23I think you're the most capable of it
00:10:25So I want to hold you to that
00:10:26And I want to see you at next show
00:10:28Thank you
00:10:29Great
00:10:31This has confused me
00:10:33I have a love-hate relationship with this routine
00:10:37That you have presented
00:10:38Because the brief was to do a Viennese waltz
00:10:41Was it not?
00:10:42And you presented a contemporary freestyle piece
00:10:46Which I thought, as a contemporary freestyle piece
00:10:49Was absolutely amazing
00:10:51You dance brilliantly
00:10:54You dance absolutely brilliantly
00:10:56But I cannot judge it
00:10:58For its merit in this category
00:11:01It's a Viennese waltz
00:11:02And I didn't see enough of it
00:11:03The Viennese waltz that you did do
00:11:05There was way too much rise and fall
00:11:07Your bum was sticking out throughout the whole thing
00:11:09The posture was not great
00:11:11The frame wasn't good either
00:11:12So you'd be better off to work on that section of it
00:11:16Get that right
00:11:17Then throw in anything you like, darling
00:11:20I'm so sorry
00:11:21Thank you
00:11:21Lily, do you want me
00:11:22Do you want to respond to Craig at all?
00:11:25Yeah, I definitely took a risk
00:11:27Yeah
00:11:27You know, and looking back on it
00:11:30I knew that it was very much a contemporary style Viennese waltz
00:11:33And obviously it didn't pay off
00:11:35You wanted more traditional
00:11:36No, no
00:11:37No, I'm not saying that at all
00:11:39I am up for that
00:11:40I encourage that sort of behaviour
00:11:42You know, break the rules
00:11:44But if you are going to dance at any part of the Viennese
00:11:47Which you did do several times
00:11:49It was not good
00:11:50Sorry
00:11:50Yeah
00:11:51Yeah
00:11:51Look, should we hear from the other judges first, Lily
00:11:56Before...
00:11:57Craig, he's just one
00:11:58One of our ensemble over here
00:12:01Mark
00:12:02I mean, really, there's such a great connection between both of you
00:12:06I love that part
00:12:07The Viennese waltz
00:12:08Did you get all the choreography that I'd like to see?
00:12:11Look, probably not
00:12:11But I tell you what
00:12:12You've got a hard gig doing Home and Away
00:12:14And this must be tough for you to keep going
00:12:16But hang in there
00:12:17Thank you
00:12:18Helen
00:12:21Kyle, I just want to ask you
00:12:23Do you feel comfortable dancing in a frame?
00:12:27In a ballroom frame?
00:12:29Yeah
00:12:29I do feel comfortable
00:12:30Yeah
00:12:31It took me a while to feel comfortable
00:12:32It's something that's so unnatural for me to do
00:12:34Of course
00:12:34But when you do something where you're leading her over the top of her head
00:12:38You're just lifting your arm up and letting Lily turn
00:12:42You need to help her to turn
00:12:45So you need to use your sides and make that shape
00:12:48So she has space to turn
00:12:50Look, we're all picking on you, I know
00:12:52But it's...
00:12:53Yeah, it's a lot of fun, thank you
00:12:54We're going to be here all night
00:12:57It's actually all relevant
00:12:59Because we are actually trying to help you
00:13:01And I agree
00:13:02Totally agree
00:13:03There wasn't enough Viennese waltz in there
00:13:05You can dance
00:13:05You're a huge talent
00:13:06So, you know, you just have to sort those things out
00:13:09How are you feeling after those comments?
00:13:14Honestly, I feel great
00:13:15You know, we did the best we can
00:13:16We had fun
00:13:17And everything that was said is
00:13:19We can take that back with ourselves
00:13:21And work on our bigger and better next routine
00:13:25And you made your mum and dad very proud, I think, tonight
00:13:29I think that's what I'm most proud of
00:13:31Exactly
00:13:31Why don't you head on up there
00:13:32Go and see Chris up in the Skybox
00:13:34While we take a look back
00:13:36At Kyle and Lily's Viennese waltz
00:13:39Moving around that dance floor
00:13:43But it's popping some tough criticism from the judges
00:13:46Come on over here
00:13:54Well, we've heard a lot about technicalities
00:13:58Yes
00:13:59Possibly a little bit too much about technicality
00:14:01But that dance, what a way to kick off the show
00:14:04Yeah, thank you, I appreciate it
00:14:05It was a lot of fun
00:14:06It was sensual, it was sexual
00:14:08It was summer bay
00:14:10What's not to love about that?
00:14:12I just knew I would have been fine, you know
00:14:14But I think it's
00:14:16You should dare to dream in this competition
00:14:18You really should
00:14:19Dare to take risks
00:14:20No more risks
00:14:21Craig's taking a big risk with that beard
00:14:23And I'm not even sure that's paying off at the moment
00:14:25But the two of you are such a special combination
00:14:30I do feel like you're being judged quite harshly
00:14:33Because they see the potential
00:14:34Do you feel that?
00:14:35If that is the case, I'm happy with that
00:14:38You know, it's going to push me to work harder
00:14:40And do the best I can to bring that wow factor
00:14:45As much as I can for the next one
00:14:46You two are going places
00:14:48I don't think it's home just yet
00:14:49All right, shall we have the judges' scores?
00:14:52Will the judges please reveal their scores?
00:14:55Craig Revel Horwood
00:14:56Paul
00:14:57Helen Ritchie
00:14:59Six
00:14:59Sharnan Burgess
00:15:01Six
00:15:02Mark Wilson
00:15:04Five
00:15:05Here we go, a score of 21
00:15:09The great of the 20s, baby
00:15:11Let's go
00:15:12There we go
00:15:13That's more likely
00:15:14That's a really solid start
00:15:15For what is a very tough job
00:15:17Leading off the show
00:15:18So I think that's very well done
00:15:19Thank you
00:15:20Good stuff, guys
00:15:21All right, back to you, Sonia
00:15:22Thank you, Chris
00:15:23The judges are making me nervous tonight
00:15:25We've got so much more still to come, though
00:15:27Felicity Ward tries to cha-cha-charm the judges
00:15:31And Sean McAuliffe puts the silver fox in Foxtrot
00:15:35But up next, it's Karina Kvalho
00:15:37And her partner, Andre Gorbanov
00:15:40See you soon on Dancing with the Stars
00:15:48Welcome back, everyone
00:15:51Next up, we have newsreader Karina Kvalho
00:15:54And her partner, Andre Gorbanov
00:15:56Now, last time they performed a graceful Viennese waltz
00:16:00But tonight, they're turning up the heat
00:16:02With a steamy salsa
00:16:04Before they make headlines
00:16:06Let's see how they went in rehearsal
00:16:07Five, six, seven, eight
00:16:12So this week, we will start with the salsa
00:16:16One, two
00:16:18It's kind of very free movement
00:16:21I thought this would really be my jam
00:16:23But it is so fast
00:16:24Five, six, seven
00:16:27One, two, three
00:16:28There are so many little moves
00:16:30One, two, three
00:16:31Five, six
00:16:32Yeah, sometimes you try to kill cockroaches
00:16:35The salsa is probably slightly more risque
00:16:40than anything I would do on the news
00:16:42Zoom
00:16:42Then you're moving
00:16:43Zoom, zoom
00:16:45Face
00:16:45More sexy
00:16:46More sexy
00:16:47More sexy
00:16:48I don't want to do the sexy moves
00:16:53Our first dance
00:16:54The judges were pretty brutal
00:16:57For me, it lacked emotion
00:16:59Yeah, and it's something I have to say
00:17:01You must get over
00:17:03You really have to commit
00:17:05To the idea of doing that
00:17:06Otherwise, the dance will just look dull
00:17:09Three, two, boom
00:17:10My chin
00:17:10I'm supposed to shake off the newsreader face
00:17:14So, a lot of work to do
00:17:16At least pretend
00:17:17Okay
00:17:17Okay
00:17:18Yeah
00:17:18Okay
00:17:20It's going to take some real effort
00:17:21From me, I think
00:17:22Welcome to the four
00:17:27Karina Cavaglio and Andre Gorbinov
00:17:30Dancing the salsa
00:17:32No, no, no
00:17:44You don't love me and I'm gone now
00:17:55No, no, no
00:18:02No, no, no
00:18:03No, no, no
00:18:05No, no, no
00:18:06No, no, no
00:18:08No, no, no
00:18:08You don't love me and I know now
00:18:13Cause you left me, baby
00:18:24And I've got the office too
00:18:30Por lo que me dijo
00:18:32Que ya yo no soy rico
00:18:35Por lo que me dijo
00:18:37Que ya yo no soy
00:18:39No, no, no
00:18:40Karina Cavaglio and Andre Gorbinov
00:19:08Ay, ay, ay, ay, mamacita
00:19:11Does anybody else feel like a mojito?
00:19:14I do after that
00:19:15It looked like you were having a good time
00:19:18Yeah, well that was supposed to be fun
00:19:20And so we really tried to bring the fun
00:19:22And you had some crazy lifts in there
00:19:25Wow, that was like full on
00:19:26You really ask a lot
00:19:27She can do it
00:19:30She can do it
00:19:31Alright, let's get some comments
00:19:32Actually, before we go there
00:19:33We do have two newsreaders in the competition
00:19:35Yourself and Michael Usher
00:19:37I'm glad the producers put this on you
00:19:38This outfit
00:19:39I don't think it would have looked as good on Mike
00:19:42There he is
00:19:43Let's get some judges' comments
00:19:45Karina, the improvement in you
00:19:48From your first dance to this one
00:19:50Is wild
00:19:51I have to commend you on that
00:19:52Thank you, Shauna
00:19:53I mean, you're like a different human
00:19:56I know it's a completely different style
00:19:57And energy and whatever
00:19:58But I just love how much you embraced this
00:20:00You were smiling the whole way through
00:20:02I feel like you were bringing that joy
00:20:04You were giving it everything
00:20:05Yes, okay, technical things
00:20:07You're still trying to control your own movement too much
00:20:10So you're ahead of the beat
00:20:11You're anticipating
00:20:12You're not letting Andre lead you
00:20:14You've just got to sit back and relax a little bit
00:20:16And have just a little bit more fun with it
00:20:19So the fun was here in the performance
00:20:20Now let your body surrender
00:20:22And let him lead you
00:20:23But girl, you improved so much
00:20:25I'm so proud of you
00:20:26Thank you
00:20:27Craig
00:20:29It could have done with a little bit more hip rotation
00:20:32And by that, a little bit more figure eight
00:20:34And it lacked fluidity
00:20:37This particular dance is about it being completely seamless
00:20:41And I felt like you were really trying to place yourself
00:20:43The lifts, I thought, were a little bit awkward
00:20:45Going in and out of them
00:20:48The steps, I think, were
00:20:49You were just taking too big a stride
00:20:51You need to keep the dance a little bit more underneath yourself
00:20:54And more of a groove
00:20:55But I have to say, you showed us some personality, darling
00:20:59And you really threw yourself into it
00:21:01There it is
00:21:03This is Helen
00:21:05Look, there were moments when you really did sell it
00:21:09And really danced it
00:21:10And the dress is fabulous because it shows movement
00:21:12You just have to find a character
00:21:15And imagine that that is you
00:21:17And let go
00:21:18And you could be just so good, Karina
00:21:20Thank you
00:21:21What do you think about those comments?
00:21:23Oh, I think everything was really fair
00:21:26I think other dancers have talked about this
00:21:29When they focus on their face, they lose the feet
00:21:31Yes, yeah
00:21:31And I think I tried so hard this week to focus on my face
00:21:35That then I kind of lost the feet
00:21:37Yeah, I agree
00:21:37So it can be a little bit better in that way
00:21:40But I think she did a good job
00:21:42Good job
00:21:43Audience, good job
00:21:44Head on up to the skybox
00:21:47Thank you
00:21:48Go and see Chris
00:21:49Let's take a look back
00:21:50At that salsa
00:21:51From Cuba
00:21:53Dancing her heart out
00:21:56Is Karina Cavaglio
00:21:58And her partner
00:21:58Andre Corbador
00:22:00Yeah, you can shake
00:22:08The dress does half the work for me
00:22:11It does, but it felt very festive
00:22:13It felt like we were in South America there
00:22:15Yeah
00:22:15It was like Karina Cavaglio became Karina Carnivalio
00:22:19This sort of new persona we're seeing
00:22:25This growth
00:22:26That's exciting
00:22:27It's great to see
00:22:28Well, you know, I really took the judges' comments from last week
00:22:31On board
00:22:32And decided
00:22:32It's not just going to happen automatically
00:22:35I've got to really turn it up
00:22:37So, you know, I tried
00:22:39Yeah
00:22:39Yeah
00:22:40And that's all I can do
00:22:42Alright, let's have a look at the judges' scores
00:22:43Ladies and gentlemen, the judges have their scores
00:22:46Craig Revel Horwood
00:22:48Paul
00:22:48Helen Ritchie
00:22:50Six, you can do better
00:22:52Shana Burgess
00:22:53Five
00:22:54Mark Wilson
00:22:56Five
00:22:57Score of 20
00:23:00That's a very respectable
00:23:02Very festive score
00:23:03To enjoy
00:23:05A festive score
00:23:07Yeah, we'll take that
00:23:08Yeah, we'll take that one
00:23:09Back to you, Sonia
00:23:09Thank you, Chris
00:23:10Still to come
00:23:11TV host Osha Ginsberg
00:23:13And funny girl Felicity Ward
00:23:14But after the break
00:23:15It's
00:23:16Mia Pivola
00:23:17And Gustavo Milio
00:23:19They're set to burn the floor
00:23:20Something special
00:23:22We see you soon
00:23:23Welcome back everyone
00:23:32Mia Pivola was just a little girl
00:23:35When her mum and dad performed
00:23:37On Dancing with the Stars
00:23:38She's got really fond memories
00:23:40Of her mum practising the steps
00:23:42To the same song over and over
00:23:45And tonight, in honour of her mum's dance
00:23:48Mia has chosen that very same song
00:23:51Let's see how she went in training
00:23:53Do you remember the Viennese waltz?
00:24:00I remember bits and pieces of it
00:24:02It was my mum's first dance
00:24:04On Dancing with the Stars
00:24:05Her first dance she did fantastic
00:24:08Yeah
00:24:08There is a room for competition
00:24:10Because she obviously
00:24:12Want to do better than their mum
00:24:13It takes me back watching this
00:24:16I was ten years old
00:24:17Sitting in the ground
00:24:18And she was actually quite good at it
00:24:23So I'm a little bit nervous
00:24:24About this one
00:24:25I thought the Viennese waltz
00:24:27Was going to be slow
00:24:27But it's not
00:24:28It's actually quite fast
00:24:30One, two
00:24:31Magnificent
00:24:32Spa
00:24:33What we've done is 700 times
00:24:36A big thing I'm struggling with
00:24:38Is the actual performance side of it
00:24:40Facial expressions
00:24:41And putting yourself out there
00:24:44In front of a crowd
00:24:44That's really not me
00:24:46And that's something that I'm really working on
00:24:49One, two, three
00:24:50Four, five, six
00:24:52One, two, three
00:24:53Hey
00:24:53Bueno
00:24:55Mia's pretty shy
00:25:00Mopes around the house
00:25:02But then I see this tall gazelle
00:25:04Dancing around in her high heels
00:25:06Like a bloody princess
00:25:07And I could not believe how amazing she was
00:25:11And I was absolutely blown away
00:25:13She's got mum covered
00:25:17You're heaps better
00:25:18You're really good
00:25:23My dad was impressed surprisingly
00:25:25He's always got such amazing energy
00:25:28He came in full of beans
00:25:30And it was really good to have him in here
00:25:32Now I just need to win my mum
00:25:34And the judge is over on the night
00:25:35So I am feeling the pressure
00:25:37Because I have a bit of a legacy to uphold
00:25:39Dancing the Viennese Waltz
00:25:48Please welcome Mia Favola
00:25:50And her partner Gustavo Villio
00:25:52Say it's true
00:26:05There's nothing like me and you
00:26:09Cause I have run away
00:26:13I have run away
00:26:18Yeah, yeah
00:26:20I have run away
00:26:22Run away
00:26:23I have run away
00:26:27With you
00:26:29Cause I
00:26:33I have fallen in love
00:26:35I have fallen in love
00:26:38With you
00:26:41You know I've never had
00:26:44I'm never gonna stop
00:26:48Falling in love
00:26:50With you
00:26:52I've fallen in love
00:26:56With you
00:27:03For Mia Favola and her partner Gustavo
00:27:13Oh, that was beautiful
00:27:17Oh, don't
00:27:18Alex, don't cry
00:27:20Come over here
00:27:21Come here
00:27:21Come here
00:27:22Here is Alex
00:27:22Now you danced this in 2010
00:27:24Give your little girl a hug
00:27:26Go on, give her a hug
00:27:27You looked amazing, Moo
00:27:35Absolutely amazing
00:27:36Well done, Gustavo
00:27:37Thanks, Mum
00:27:38Alex
00:27:39You were beautiful when you danced this
00:27:41Do you remember your score?
00:27:43I know it was really bad
00:27:45I think I got a three
00:27:46No, I think it was 15 in total
00:27:49Yeah, I got a three though
00:27:50You got a three
00:27:51And Craig wasn't even here
00:27:53Yeah, look, it was a hard one
00:27:57So I was super nervous
00:27:58I feel like my knee's weak
00:27:59Watching her
00:28:00I felt the same nerves
00:28:02I know, I think I felt more nervous
00:28:04Watching you
00:28:04Than watching Mia out there tonight
00:28:06Yeah, look
00:28:07She was incredible
00:28:08Yeah, I'm very proud
00:28:10Thanks, Mum
00:28:11Beautiful mother-daughter combination
00:28:13Why don't you head back over
00:28:14How are you feeling?
00:28:15Bit of a nervous wreck
00:28:16To be honest
00:28:17Really?
00:28:17Why?
00:28:18I'm so nervous every week
00:28:20It's just
00:28:21It's not my thing
00:28:22Performing and
00:28:23Trying to tell a story
00:28:25And being on a stage
00:28:26In front of a crowd
00:28:27But
00:28:28I'm here
00:28:29I'm here
00:28:29To somehow finish one
00:28:33Top to bottom
00:28:33We should get some of the judges' comments
00:28:35Mark
00:28:36I've got a page full of no's
00:28:38There was no posture errors
00:28:41There was no poise errors
00:28:44There was no footwork errors
00:28:47There was no top line errors
00:28:48It was just full of elegance
00:28:51And elegance personified
00:28:53It was so, so beautiful to watch
00:28:56Thank you so much
00:28:57It had the softness
00:29:03That the beautiful waltz requires
00:29:05So you should be very proud of yourself, love
00:29:08That's a huge step up for you tonight
00:29:10Thank you
00:29:11So thank you
00:29:12Thanks, Helen
00:29:13Shana
00:29:14Mia, you just said that you're like
00:29:17You don't do this
00:29:18And telling stories
00:29:19And there's so many things
00:29:19But baby, let me tell you
00:29:21You do do this
00:29:22You are doing this
00:29:23And you're doing such a beautiful job at it
00:29:27To see the growth in you is amazing
00:29:28This was a stunning Viennese waltz
00:29:30Not only technically
00:29:32Your weight changes were smooth
00:29:33Your frame was beautiful
00:29:35You had sway in it
00:29:36Not too much of a dramatic rise and fall
00:29:38It was gorgeous
00:29:39And then the way that you use your arms
00:29:40And the way your smile lights up this room
00:29:42You have something spectacular about you on this dance floor
00:29:46And I just want you to believe in yourself more
00:29:49Because I can see that tiny little seed of doubt
00:29:52It's the one little thing I see
00:29:54Everything is so beautiful
00:29:55But I can still see that little bit of self-doubt
00:29:57Overcome that
00:29:58Believe in yourself
00:29:59Because damn, you've got this
00:30:01Thank you
00:30:02Thank you, Shana
00:30:04Craig
00:30:04Gustavo, you managed to get the Gustavo in there
00:30:09I noticed in Viennese
00:30:10Which I rather liked
00:30:11I thought it was absolutely gorgeous
00:30:14Oh my God
00:30:15Thank you
00:30:16Was it a full Gustavo
00:30:20Or a semi-Gustavo
00:30:22No, that was a full Gustavo
00:30:23The full Gustavo
00:30:24Fantastic
00:30:25Well, that's what we want on this show, don't we?
00:30:28A full Gustavo
00:30:29Why don't you guys head on up to the Skybox
00:30:31Go and see Chris
00:30:32Thank you
00:30:32Well done
00:30:32Thank you
00:30:33Put your hands together
00:30:34From Mia Favola
00:30:36And her tribute to her mum
00:30:38Dancing the very same song
00:30:41She danced to back in 2010
00:30:43Okay, you two
00:30:46Over here
00:30:47Oh, and breathe
00:30:49It's a big exhale
00:30:51That was sweet
00:30:52It was dreamy
00:30:53It was sentimental
00:30:54Most kids avoid their parents' taste in music
00:30:57But it seemed to work out okay for you
00:30:59I love that song
00:31:00Yeah, the goal was for it to be sweet and sentimental
00:31:03And I wasn't sure if it translated
00:31:05But I'm hoping that we achieve that
00:31:08It absolutely did
00:31:09It was just a work of art
00:31:11And Gustavo
00:31:12It's rare to see you so restrained
00:31:16Like, have we had to tape your hips down for that routine?
00:31:20Because normally they're flying everywhere
00:31:21But it's worked wonders
00:31:23It was beautiful
00:31:24Well done, the two of you
00:31:25Thank you
00:31:25It is now time for the judges' scores
00:31:26The judges' scores are in
00:31:29Craig Revel-Hallwood
00:31:31Eight
00:31:31Ella Ritchie
00:31:34Eight
00:31:34Charlotte Burgess
00:31:36I love that
00:31:37Nine
00:31:38Mark Wilson
00:31:39Awesome
00:31:40Nine
00:31:41A score of 34
00:31:44Of a chamomile tea
00:31:48The sentimental song
00:31:49It's the secret formula
00:31:51How do you feel?
00:31:53That's amazing
00:31:54I'm in shock
00:31:55I can't believe it
00:31:56Well done you
00:31:57Thank you
00:31:58Alright, now let's have a look at the half-time leaderboard
00:32:00And see what that does to the situation
00:32:02Puts Mia and Gustavo right on top
00:32:04Followed by Kyle and Lily on 21
00:32:06And Corinna and Andre on 20
00:32:09Back to you, Sonia
00:32:10Wow
00:32:1134 for that
00:32:12You happy about that, Alex?
00:32:14Very happy
00:32:14Very happy
00:32:15Excellent
00:32:16Now don't forget though
00:32:17The couple's scores tonight
00:32:18Will be added
00:32:19To the points they received
00:32:20For their first dance
00:32:21And then the audience will vote
00:32:23The lowest ranked couple
00:32:25Will then have to leave the competition
00:32:27But coming up
00:32:28After the break
00:32:28Mr. Sean McAuliffe
00:32:30Returns to the dance floor
00:32:31You don't want to miss it
00:32:33This is Dancing with the Stars
00:32:34Welcome back to Dancing with the Stars
00:32:48Now Sean McAuliffe wowed the audience last time
00:32:52With his comedic quick step
00:32:53For which he earned 24 points
00:32:56Can he better that tonight
00:32:58Dancing to a Frank Sinatra favourite
00:33:01Let's take a look at how Sean got on in training
00:33:04Forward, side, behind, and
00:33:07The foxtrot is actually my favourite dance
00:33:10So you want it to look effortless
00:33:13And it's just like gliding around the floor
00:33:15Alright, when you say effortless
00:33:17You mean that you want it to look as though
00:33:19I put no effort into it at all
00:33:20I think Sean really suits the foxtrot
00:33:22Because it's such a classic beautiful dance
00:33:24You know, he's very suave
00:33:27You enter the bar
00:33:28And I think you notice me
00:33:30But you actually notice my necklace
00:33:31So throughout the dance
00:33:33You're actually trying to sneakily
00:33:35Steal my necklace
00:33:36I get to play a thief
00:33:37You do
00:33:38He loves to get involved with the storyline of the dance
00:33:41I'm going to disappear from you
00:33:42Where's she going?
00:33:45Nice necklace
00:33:46And I feel like he can impersonate Fred Astaire very well
00:33:51I'm a big fan of the old Hollywood MGM musicals
00:33:55And I love the work of Gene Kelly and Fred Astaire
00:33:58And I had a picture of myself as Fred Astaire
00:34:01But I look more like Fred Flintstone
00:34:03I could walk around like this all day
00:34:04Please welcome to the floor
00:34:11Sean McAuliffe and Ashley Hunter
00:34:14Dancing the Foxtrot
00:34:16Come fly with me
00:34:27Let's fly
00:34:28Let's fly away
00:34:30If you can use some exotic booze
00:34:36There's a bar in far Bombay
00:34:39Come on and fly with me
00:34:42Let's fly
00:34:43Let's fly
00:34:43Let's fly
00:34:44Let's fly
00:34:44Let's fly away
00:34:45Come fly with me
00:34:50Let's float down
00:34:52Super room
00:34:53In Lama Land
00:34:58There's a one-man band
00:35:00And he'll took his flute for you
00:35:03Come fly with me
00:35:05Let's fly
00:35:07Let's fly
00:35:07Let's fly
00:35:08Let's fly
00:35:27Come fly with me
00:35:29Let's fly
00:35:30Let's fly
00:35:32And God bless my way
00:35:55Ah, cheating. Looking for notes, you dirty, rotten scoundrel.
00:36:02So you ended up with Sean's Casio, right? Nice watch.
00:36:07I loved the whole storyline that you had going on.
00:36:10Whose idea was it?
00:36:11Well, Ashley Hunter, yes, I think we both worked on that one.
00:36:17Look, all credit to Ashley Hunter.
00:36:20Any blame, you come talk to me.
00:36:21Come to you, all right.
00:36:23How do you think the judges are going to receive this one?
00:36:25Ah, look, I'm reading their faces.
00:36:27Mark looks very happy.
00:36:28Yes, Shana looks...
00:36:30Oh, she's turned.
00:36:32Helen always looks happy and charming.
00:36:34Oh, my God.
00:36:37You're enjoying this process, though, right?
00:36:38I am enormously.
00:36:40I mean, I'm dancing like no one's watching.
00:36:42So 7 tomorrow when they look at the ratings.
00:36:45Let's hope that it's okay.
00:36:47All right.
00:36:48Should we get some judges' comments?
00:36:49Well, look, that is why I'm here.
00:36:50It is why you're here. Shana.
00:36:52Sean, there is something about you that I can't quite describe.
00:36:56It's incredibly unique in the way that you perform.
00:36:59You have your own thing.
00:37:01Thank you, Shana.
00:37:02Now, in saying that, there's a lot wrong with it, but at the same time, there's a lot right
00:37:07with it.
00:37:07You've got something that you can't teach.
00:37:09My favorite thing is your head bubble, this little thing that you do.
00:37:12It's like my favorite thing ever.
00:37:13But what I do want you to work on is the technical aspects of it.
00:37:17You have a beautiful presence, but your frame was really falling apart there.
00:37:21The arm was too far around the back.
00:37:23You've got your shoulders hunched forward and your chin too high.
00:37:25You've got to think shoulders back, heart up to the sky and pull the head up from the
00:37:29back of it.
00:37:30But you are so fun to watch.
00:37:32And I want more from you.
00:37:34And I want to see you work on the technique.
00:37:35All right.
00:37:36I will, Shana.
00:37:36Thank you very much.
00:37:37The head bobbles your own choreography, right?
00:37:39Yeah, that's all I got.
00:37:40Mark?
00:37:41What is fascinating is you dance a feather step and a three step, which is technical
00:37:44foxtrot steps we look for.
00:37:46And you actually dance them with the correct footwork.
00:37:48And you are in character from start to finish.
00:37:51And I just find that fascinating you can do that.
00:37:53And I think that's the beauty of me.
00:37:55Keep watching and keep watching this wonderful pantomime that continues.
00:37:59Wonderful.
00:38:00Thank you, Mark.
00:38:01Thank you for listening, Craig.
00:38:03You liked it?
00:38:04Yeah, I'm listening, darling.
00:38:06I'm listening.
00:38:06And for me, it's all smoke and mirrors.
00:38:09You mask all of that terrible technique with the facial expressions.
00:38:15No, no, no, no.
00:38:16Hey, no, you're being unfair to Craig.
00:38:18The footwork was haphazard, actually.
00:38:20There was gapping.
00:38:21Your frame was poor.
00:38:22I mean, the list is endless.
00:38:24The shoulders.
00:38:24How dare you?
00:38:25I mean, Ashley Hunter is a professional dancer.
00:38:28I know it's awful hearing the truth, darling, isn't it?
00:38:31Absolutely awful.
00:38:32But, you know, like, for musicality and performance,
00:38:35it's always going to be a 10 because you are very gifted like that.
00:38:39But you do need to work on your technical.
00:38:41I will.
00:38:42I sort of drifted off in the middle there.
00:38:43But by the end of it, he was saying something positive.
00:38:46And that's my takeaway.
00:38:47That's right.
00:38:47Exactly.
00:38:48Helen.
00:38:48Look, it did need to have more power of movement around the room.
00:38:52But that's okay.
00:38:53You know, nobody's perfect.
00:38:54You're on a roll.
00:38:55I like it.
00:38:57What do you make of those comments, Sean?
00:38:59No, they're all very helpful.
00:39:01If given the opportunity, and we do another one,
00:39:03you are going to have your minds blown.
00:39:06As long as you keep the head bubble, I'm all for it.
00:39:08Just don't lose the head bubble.
00:39:09Work it in.
00:39:10Love it.
00:39:11All right, Sean, why don't you head on up there?
00:39:12Go and see Chris.
00:39:13All right.
00:39:13I think he's got some more expensive jewellery.
00:39:15Thank you very much.
00:39:17As Sean takes the stairs,
00:39:20we look back at his fabulous box truck with Ashley Hunter.
00:39:25Jewel thief extraordinaire.
00:39:26Sean McCullough.
00:39:27How did all these people get in my room?
00:39:34Come on in here.
00:39:35How do you do, Chris?
00:39:36It's nice to see you.
00:39:37Doc Brown.
00:39:37How do you do?
00:39:38Look, you are a man for the classics, aren't you, Sean McCullough?
00:39:40I do like a classic, and I like, you know, in my head, I'm perfect.
00:39:45But I've never watched any footage back.
00:39:48Ashley showed me some early footage,
00:39:50and I look like a fridge being pushed around on a trolley.
00:39:54Now, Ashley, you said that this is your favourite dance,
00:39:57the Foxtrot.
00:39:57It is, yes.
00:39:58Obviously, because you can still watch it.
00:40:00I can still watch it all the time.
00:40:01But is it still your favourite dance?
00:40:03Yes, it is.
00:40:04After that.
00:40:04Do you know what?
00:40:05Like Helen said, he does really respect the art form,
00:40:07and we worked on that so hard.
00:40:09Maybe the frame wasn't as good as what our previous practices have been.
00:40:12How dare you?
00:40:13But it was still amazing, and I'm so proud of him,
00:40:15because he does really work hard and really wants to get it right.
00:40:19Yeah, I do.
00:40:20We'll continue to do that if we stay on.
00:40:21And I don't see any point in being perfect in the second time we appear.
00:40:25There are a few more episodes to go.
00:40:26I've got to build to something.
00:40:29That's a good attitude to have.
00:40:31It is now time for the judges' scores.
00:40:32Oh, goody!
00:40:33Will the judges please reveal their scores?
00:40:36Craig Revel Horwood.
00:40:38Oh.
00:40:39Helen Ritchie.
00:40:40Come on, seven.
00:40:43Charlotte Burgess.
00:40:44Six.
00:40:46Mark Wilson.
00:40:48Seven.
00:40:49That's okay.
00:40:51There we go.
00:40:51We're very, very happy with that.
00:40:53Taking a very well accident.
00:40:53In fact, I think it's too much.
00:40:55Yeah, do you?
00:40:56I'll knock a couple off.
00:40:56We'll have a re-judge shortly, I'm sure.
00:40:58All right.
00:40:59Score of 24.
00:40:59Well done to you guys.
00:41:00What are you doing for the rest of the show?
00:41:01Are you up here?
00:41:01I was just going to hang out here, I think.
00:41:03Okay.
00:41:03Maybe just chat to a few more people.
00:41:04Can I throw to Sonia?
00:41:06Well, by all means, I...
00:41:07Please.
00:41:08Back to you, Sonia.
00:41:09Thank you, Sean.
00:41:11A great performance there from Sean McAuliffe.
00:41:14Still to come, comedian Felicity Ward.
00:41:16But up next is TV host with the most, Osher Ginsberg.
00:41:20This is Ransom of the Stars.
00:41:22Stay with us.
00:41:31Welcome back, everyone.
00:41:33I am here with a very special guest.
00:41:35Let's put your hands together for Jason Gilkinson.
00:41:39Now, this man is really the reason this show exists.
00:41:43He's been responsible for bringing ballroom dancing
00:41:45into the mainstream, and over the last 12 years,
00:41:48he's been a driving creative force for both the UK
00:41:51and US versions of Dancing with the Stars.
00:41:54It is so good to see you, Jason.
00:41:56It's great to see you.
00:41:57We go back a long way.
00:41:58Yes, Jason and I are very old friends.
00:41:59We were, in fact, part of the Australian formation team
00:42:02to go and perform at the British Championships.
00:42:04But your career has been incredible,
00:42:07the work that you've done globally.
00:42:09What do you think of the standard here in Australia
00:42:11of our competitors and our professionals?
00:42:14I mean, this was the very first Dancing with the Stars in Australia.
00:42:18And it's so good that after all these seasons,
00:42:21to still see everybody smashing it,
00:42:23coming up with incredible roots.
00:42:24Yeah, put your hands together.
00:42:25It's been amazing.
00:42:27I mean, I do the show in England with Craig,
00:42:29and I've never seen him smile before,
00:42:31so this is quite something.
00:42:33Why do you think that is?
00:42:35I don't know.
00:42:35He's sitting next to me.
00:42:37No, Australian humour, darling.
00:42:39I love it.
00:42:39Craig, of course, is from Ballarat.
00:42:41Yeah, of course.
00:42:41Now, when Craig speaks Australian,
00:42:43he sounds very different.
00:42:44Can you give us a demonstration, please, Craig?
00:42:46Oh, g'day, Sonia.
00:42:48Hey, how are you going?
00:42:50That's more Queensland, I think, though, darling, isn't it?
00:42:52It is where I'm from.
00:42:55Well, it's lovely to have you.
00:42:57In fact, it's an honour to have you here, Jake.
00:42:58It's great to be here.
00:42:59Thank you so much.
00:43:02Now, last time he danced,
00:43:03Osher Ginsberg performed a foxtrot
00:43:05that didn't score as well as he would have hoped
00:43:07and left him at the back of the pack.
00:43:10But he's hoping to jump up the leaderboard
00:43:12with a jumping jive.
00:43:13Let's see how he and his partner Shriani
00:43:15have been going in rehearsal.
00:43:18One, two, three, four.
00:43:22What's the jive?
00:43:23It's fun, it's energetic, it's fast moving.
00:43:26Quick.
00:43:27How fast?
00:43:29One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
00:43:34Jive's going really well,
00:43:35but the transitions from step to step are faster.
00:43:39He doesn't have much time to think.
00:43:40So the speed of it is sort of slowing us down a little bit.
00:43:45Three and four, five, six, seven, eight.
00:43:49The jive, it's cognitively incredibly difficult.
00:43:52Kick, slip, slip, slip.
00:43:55How do you do it all at once though?
00:43:57I can't seem to do it all at once.
00:43:59I'm beset with this feeling
00:44:01that I'm never going to get this.
00:44:02The frustration and the discomfort
00:44:04and the breathlessness
00:44:05and the complete humiliation
00:44:07of not being able to do what I want my body to do
00:44:10is very challenging.
00:44:12Seven and eight.
00:44:14One.
00:44:15Oh.
00:44:16I'm sorry, I did two.
00:44:18My ego is so annoyed
00:44:20that I'm not amazing at it instantly.
00:44:22And, you know,
00:44:23there's a lot of battle with my body,
00:44:25but there's also a lot of battle with my head.
00:44:26Kick, step, back,
00:44:28slip, slip, slip, slip, slip, slip, slip.
00:44:29That's feet.
00:44:31You didn't get your double balls.
00:44:32God, man.
00:44:33The last time,
00:44:34the baddie judges gave me
00:44:35a really terrible score.
00:44:37Mark Wilson.
00:44:38Double figures, double figures.
00:44:38Come on, double figures.
00:44:39Two.
00:44:42Single figures?
00:44:43But I've made a career
00:44:45out of making it look like
00:44:46I know what I'm doing right now.
00:44:47I have no idea what I'm doing.
00:44:51Yet.
00:44:52You really know what he's doing.
00:44:54You're very sweet.
00:44:55Dancing the Jive.
00:45:00Please welcome
00:45:01Osher Ginsberg
00:45:02and his partner
00:45:04Scrianni Argate.
00:45:14What I want you got
00:45:16And it might be hard to handle
00:45:19But like a flame that burns a candle
00:45:22The candle feeds a flame
00:45:25Oh, yeah
00:45:26Well, well, you
00:45:28You make my dreams come true
00:45:34Ooh
00:45:35Well, well, well, you
00:45:40You make my dreams come true
00:45:46Ooh, yeah
00:45:49I'll be waiting for, waiting for you, girl
00:45:51But listen to this
00:45:52I'm down on my daydream
00:45:57Before that sleepwalk
00:45:58Shook me over my life
00:46:00I know
00:46:01Oh, you
00:46:04Yeah
00:46:06You make my dreams come true
00:46:10Oh, yeah
00:46:13I'll be waiting for, waiting for you, girl
00:46:17Oh, yeah
00:46:19You make my dreams come true
00:46:22Oh, yeah
00:46:23Oh, yeah
00:46:26Oh, yeah
00:46:32Oh, she did say
00:46:35Yes, and Srianni, you did it
00:46:37You did
00:46:38You got that
00:46:40Srianni did it
00:46:41Srianni did it
00:46:42Srianni, why are you saying
00:46:43you were part of that
00:46:45She got me there
00:46:46How was it this week?
00:46:48Oh, yeah, really.
00:46:50Incredibly hard.
00:46:51There's a wild thing at the start of him, the kickball change thing.
00:46:53I was like, you want me to do what?
00:46:55How fast?
00:46:56I could absolutely not do that.
00:46:59Like two and a half, three weeks ago.
00:47:01And my God, I can't believe you got me to do that.
00:47:04You're incredible.
00:47:04Thank you so much.
00:47:05I never believed I could do that.
00:47:08Get some judges' comments.
00:47:10I think you probably should.
00:47:11I've missed you guys.
00:47:12Kind of like a cold sore, but I've missed you.
00:47:17I can't believe what I've just seen because it's such a massive change.
00:47:23It's a massive change.
00:47:24You were in time.
00:47:25You were focused.
00:47:27You did kickball changes in time.
00:47:29Your weight was to your feet.
00:47:30And the lifts were beautifully performed.
00:47:33I'm so proud of both of you.
00:47:35Well done.
00:47:36Thank you, Mark.
00:47:37Craig.
00:47:38You have a weird, wobbly right ankle, darling.
00:47:42It's a move you're not familiar with.
00:47:44It's the kick off the gumboot.
00:47:45It's an Australian thing.
00:47:46Oh, okay.
00:47:47Very good.
00:47:48Well, I'm glad you included that then, darling.
00:47:50You have actually redeemed yourself.
00:47:53So, congratulations.
00:47:57That's a big statement from Craig.
00:47:59Helen.
00:48:00Shriana, you've worked a small miracle this week.
00:48:03A large miracle.
00:48:06And where is your twin?
00:48:08Did you have a twin?
00:48:09No.
00:48:10So, this is the same Osha?
00:48:11Yes.
00:48:13Unbelievable.
00:48:14Wow.
00:48:14Yeah, unbelievable.
00:48:18Shriana.
00:48:19Osha, I agree.
00:48:20It was a massive improvement from your first performance.
00:48:22And I think you have this natural performance ability
00:48:25where it kind of makes me not look at the hot mess
00:48:27of what's going on with your feet
00:48:28because I love what's going on up top
00:48:30and I dearly enjoy watching your performances.
00:48:33I'm here for thinking down there for dancing.
00:48:34Well, I'm here for showbiz down there for don't look.
00:48:36Yeah, yeah, there you go.
00:48:37I would love for you to keep that same energy
00:48:39and keep working on the technique.
00:48:40Here in the jive,
00:48:41we were missing the fast retraction on the kicks and flicks.
00:48:44You're very flat-footed and a little bit wide and wild.
00:48:46But it doesn't mean I didn't love it
00:48:48and I think the audience loved it too.
00:48:51Thank you all.
00:48:52Thank you, Shriana.
00:48:53How do you feel about that?
00:48:54Those comments on the whole were pretty positive, right?
00:48:56I'm really, really grateful.
00:48:58And my family's here tonight
00:48:59and it was just a joy no matter what happens next.
00:49:02Good vibes, Osha.
00:49:02Why don't you head on up and go and see Chris up in the skybox.
00:49:06Thank you, Shriana.
00:49:07While we take a look back
00:49:08at that 80s-themed jumping jive by Osha Ginsberg
00:49:12and his partner, Shriana.
00:49:19Great, Mr Brown.
00:49:21Well, well, well.
00:49:22Mr Brown.
00:49:22That was some nice feedback going on there.
00:49:26People are talking about growth.
00:49:28Yes.
00:49:28About a journey from you.
00:49:30It's a good, good reality TV word journey.
00:49:32Well, I was going to say,
00:49:34you've been around TV for a long time.
00:49:35Yeah.
00:49:36Are you taking us on a character arc?
00:49:38I'll tell you your answer.
00:49:40After the break.
00:49:41Wow.
00:49:42Jesus, good.
00:49:43You've got to do one of them.
00:49:44Just at least do one from age and age.
00:49:45So good, so good.
00:49:47Shriana, speaking of good,
00:49:48you are amazing.
00:49:49She's incredible.
00:49:50Come on.
00:49:51And you are brave
00:49:52because when you saw how Osha was at the start of this,
00:49:56to then go to lifts like you did
00:49:58where you put your life literally in his hands,
00:50:02was that scary for you?
00:50:04It was a little scary.
00:50:06We did have a friend at the studio, didn't we?
00:50:09Matt.
00:50:09We love Matt.
00:50:10Matt does good work.
00:50:11Acro Matt.
00:50:12He's awesome.
00:50:12It is now time for the judges' scores.
00:50:15Will the judges please reveal their scores?
00:50:18Craig Revel Horwood.
00:50:20Four.
00:50:21Helen Ritchie.
00:50:23Five.
00:50:24Shriana Burgess.
00:50:26Four.
00:50:27Mark Wilson.
00:50:28Five.
00:50:32It's a score of 18.
00:50:34It's growth.
00:50:36It's a journey.
00:50:37Yeah, it's double.
00:50:38I don't think anybody has got a 100% improvement
00:50:41on their last scores.
00:50:43So, you know, congratulations to me and Shriani.
00:50:45I think we did really, really well there.
00:50:47You know, I'm really going to need the audience here
00:50:50because it's a mathematical impossibility
00:50:51that we dance again.
00:50:52So, please get around us, yeah?
00:50:54Running the numbers already.
00:50:55I love it.
00:50:55Back to you, Sonia.
00:50:56Thank you, Chris.
00:50:57Well, we have one more couple to go
00:50:59before tonight's elimination.
00:51:01Felicity Ward and her partner, Arikia Gudkin,
00:51:04are looking to cha-cha,
00:51:05change the leaderboard for tonight's final dance.
00:51:09That's next on Dancing with the Stars.
00:51:11You'll make my dreams come true.
00:51:21Welcome back.
00:51:22Felicity Ward has always wanted to compete
00:51:24on Dancing with the Stars.
00:51:25In fact, it's the only reason she became a star,
00:51:28so she can compete on this show.
00:51:30And now she is here doing everything she can do
00:51:32to stay in the competition.
00:51:34So, let's see how she and Arik prepared for their cha-cha.
00:51:38One, two.
00:51:40Cha-cha-cha.
00:51:41Cha-cha-cha.
00:51:42Cha-cha-cha.
00:51:43Cha-cha-cha.
00:51:44Cha-cha-cha.
00:51:45Cha-cha is the routine that breaks people.
00:51:47I mean, the straight legs, getting all the hips
00:51:49at speed is already tricky.
00:51:50There's a lot to coordinate in the body,
00:51:52so it's going to be a challenging week.
00:51:54Pull up.
00:51:55That's it.
00:51:55And relax, relax, up top.
00:51:57That's it.
00:51:58Yeah.
00:51:59Good.
00:51:59I am not a relaxed person.
00:52:01Thank you for asking.
00:52:02Okay, great.
00:52:03Next section.
00:52:03Let's move on.
00:52:04Okay.
00:52:04So you go.
00:52:05Let's move on.
00:52:06There's so much, I've forgotten all of it.
00:52:09Cha-cha-cha.
00:52:10Cha-cha-cha.
00:52:11Cha-cha-cha.
00:52:12Cha-cha-cha.
00:52:13Cha-cha-cha.
00:52:14Let's go one more time.
00:52:15I've forgotten everything.
00:52:16Dancing's really hard.
00:52:17Mm-hmm.
00:52:18Cha-cha-cha.
00:52:19Cha-cha-cha.
00:52:20It feels disappointing.
00:52:22Cha-cha-cha-cha-cha-cha.
00:52:24Felicity is tough on herself.
00:52:26Cha-cha-cha-cha-cha.
00:52:27I think she's competitive with herself more so than anything.
00:52:30Crazy side-close side.
00:52:32Cha-cha-cha-cha-cha-cha.
00:52:33Cha-cha-cha-cha-cha.
00:52:34Yeah.
00:52:35Cha-cha-cha-cha-cha.
00:52:37Cha-cha-cha-cha-cha.
00:52:38Cha-cha-cha-cha.
00:52:39Cha-cha-cha-cha.
00:52:41do other people learn something then they do it?
00:52:43This is absolutely normal.
00:52:45This is what you have to go through.
00:52:47Oh, god, there's so much thinking.
00:52:49Oy, oy, oy, oy, oy.
00:52:55It's nothing to do with you.
00:52:58Sorry?
00:53:00You're gonna-
00:53:03It's funny, I feel more embarrassed about-
00:53:05Not remembering steps than I do about crying.
00:53:09When Felicity's frustrated,
00:53:10there's only one way to change things up.
00:53:13That's with a joke.
00:53:15Make sure it's good to see.
00:53:19He will push me and I will always say yes.
00:53:22You want to be good or you want to be great?
00:53:23Oh, I want to be great.
00:53:25Yes, let's go. Let's push it.
00:53:30Dancing the cha-cha-cha
00:53:32with her partner, Aritka Goodkin,
00:53:34it's Felicity Ward.
00:54:04And it was lovely.
00:54:06Then there was you.
00:54:09And everything went from wrong to wrong.
00:54:12And it was lovely.
00:54:15First time.
00:54:16First time.
00:54:18Cause baby, when I heard
00:54:20For the first time
00:54:24We were meant to be a star.
00:54:30We were meant to be a star.
00:54:32For the first time we were meant to be a star.
00:54:35And it was lovely.
00:54:36And it was lovely.
00:54:38But there was also a star.
00:54:40But it's a star.
00:54:41And there was a star.
00:54:42And there was a star.
00:54:43I really feel like it was love
00:54:47At first sight
00:54:49Cause baby, when I heard
00:54:53For the first time
00:54:57We were meant to be in love
00:55:13Felicity Ward and Arik, you're good Ken
00:55:17Here girlfriend, let me give you a hand
00:55:19One, two, three
00:55:21Wow, that was
00:55:23Look
00:55:25This is embarrassing, but you've got the tag showing
00:55:27On your dress
00:55:29Come over here
00:55:31This wig is everything
00:55:33Can we just like, everyone talks about
00:55:35The dancers and the
00:55:37You know, the stars or whatever
00:55:39But the art that goes into
00:55:41The costumes and the makeup
00:55:43It's unbelievable
00:55:45This is like
00:55:47If Dolly Parton and Kath Day Knight
00:55:49Had a wig baby
00:55:51Honestly, put me on a Mardi Gras float
00:55:53Like
00:55:54Marcus, the same person does yours?
00:55:56Yes, of course
00:55:57Wait till you see the next one
00:55:59It's gonna be big, I love it
00:56:01Look, it was a big wig, wasn't it?
00:56:03It was quite emotionally draining for you
00:56:05To be honest, it's always a big wig for me
00:56:07Yeah
00:56:09Yeah, I
00:56:11I cry all the time
00:56:13But I care so much
00:56:14And I just
00:56:15Like literally the only person I care about is Arik
00:56:17And I just want him
00:56:19To be proud of me, that's it
00:56:21And also
00:56:22Something else that
00:56:23Like everyone talks
00:56:25Like Arik's such an incredible choreographer
00:56:27But also he's such an incredible dancer
00:56:29Like he's such an incredible dancer
00:56:31He's just like
00:56:33And so are you
00:56:35Are you proud of her Arik?
00:56:37I'm so proud of her honestly
00:56:38Like when I
00:56:39On the way to rehearsal every morning
00:56:40I'm so excited to
00:56:41Dance with her
00:56:42And spend the day with her
00:56:43It's just always gonna be fun
00:56:44Yeah
00:56:45And yeah, I just, I love her so much
00:56:46You gave us a lot of fun tonight
00:56:48Let's get some judges comments
00:56:49Sharna
00:56:50I was writing down
00:56:52Yes, dynamics
00:56:53Yes, straight legs
00:56:54Yes, lines
00:56:55Like yes to all of it
00:56:57You said you want to be great
00:56:58You're already great
00:56:59Thanks
00:57:00This is, this is such a
00:57:03Chacha is deceiving
00:57:05It's such a hard technique
00:57:06To make look natural
00:57:07It's so hard
00:57:08It's so hard
00:57:09I work so hard every day
00:57:11Like I'm in my sleep
00:57:12I'm just like
00:57:13You know how people
00:57:14Have resting bitch face
00:57:15I have resting char foot
00:57:17Like my foot
00:57:18Is like this at all times
00:57:20It's called a bevel darling
00:57:21It's called a bevel
00:57:22It's called a bevel
00:57:23And your, you know what
00:57:24Your commitment to it
00:57:25Both at home, in your sleep
00:57:26And on this floor
00:57:27Is paying off
00:57:28Because you're phenomenal
00:57:29And I honestly think
00:57:30We're gonna see you right
00:57:31At the end of this competition
00:57:32Wow
00:57:35Thank you Sharna
00:57:36Craig
00:57:37For me it was a little bit
00:57:39Stop and start
00:57:40But that's a character thing
00:57:42And I know that's to do
00:57:43With the dolls
00:57:44And the costumes you're wearing
00:57:45And everything
00:57:46So I'm just putting that down
00:57:47As a character choice
00:57:48But your timing was fantastic
00:57:50You have great rhythm darling
00:57:51And I absolutely love
00:57:53The characterisation
00:57:54Thank you
00:57:55Thank you
00:57:56Mark
00:57:57I'm fully with Sharna
00:57:59The way you danced your legs
00:58:01Was so strong
00:58:02And when we're judging competitions
00:58:04Sometimes we look at couples
00:58:05And we say
00:58:06They're gonna go out of time
00:58:07You can see they're light weight
00:58:08In the way they use your legs
00:58:09Not you
00:58:10You are so solid
00:58:11Every time you place your foot
00:58:12On the floor
00:58:13And then your legs straight
00:58:14And it was so so clear
00:58:15And it didn't move
00:58:16I just loved it
00:58:17Because it's what we look for
00:58:19To start marking couples well
00:58:21And dance couples well
00:58:22Very strong
00:58:23Great work Arik
00:58:24Well done
00:58:25What do you think about those problems?
00:58:26Well done
00:58:27Yeah
00:58:28I appreciate everything
00:58:29And like
00:58:30I love constructive feedback
00:58:32And I love knowing what I can improve
00:58:33And hopefully if I'm here
00:58:34Next week
00:58:35I can apply that to this
00:58:37I'm gonna cry again
00:58:38Please stop asking questions
00:58:39How do you feel?
00:58:40I feel like crying
00:58:41Every time I get stuck
00:58:42Talking to Craig
00:58:43After the show
00:58:44It's emotionally draining
00:58:45I can't have a go at him
00:58:46He's wearing fuchsia
00:58:47That's right
00:58:48And he still has to give you his score
00:58:49So why don't you head on up
00:58:50Go and see Chris
00:58:51Thank you
00:58:52And let's take a look back
00:58:53At Felicity
00:58:54And our cheeky chak-sha-chai
00:58:56Let's take a job routine
00:59:08Hello you two
00:59:09Hi
00:59:10Now Felicity
00:59:11You were saying in the back story there
00:59:13That you're not a relaxed person
00:59:14I don't get what about this outfit suggests that
00:59:18I'm just a shy lady
00:59:20I don't like to draw attention to myself
00:59:22You know just
00:59:23I decided to go for the natural look tonight
00:59:25And I think it's paid off
00:59:26Yeah I can't wait until the makeup's added
00:59:28Yeah yeah yeah
00:59:29But you say you're having fun
00:59:30Then we see a lot of tears
00:59:32It's funny isn't it?
00:59:33That's not the traditional definition of fun
00:59:35You should come to my house
00:59:37We have a lot of fun
00:59:38We don't
00:59:39Arik how do you bring her back up like that?
00:59:42I think the music is the key to her
00:59:44She loves
00:59:45If we put the track on
00:59:46And she hears the music
00:59:47She loves it
00:59:48She's a DJ actually
00:59:49Just so you know
00:59:50I know
00:59:51I sound like a dog
00:59:52Just put some music on
00:59:53She'll run around
00:59:54She'll be fine
00:59:55Doesn't always work that Felicity
00:59:56Doesn't always work
00:59:57Sorry you're a vet
00:59:58You would know
00:59:59That is true
01:00:00Thanks for reminding me
01:00:01Shall we have the judges scores please?
01:00:02The judges scores are in
01:00:04Craig Revel Horwood
01:00:06Six
01:00:07Yeah
01:00:08Ellen Wichey

01:00:17Nine

01:00:23Now we're having some fun
01:00:24Oh mate
01:00:25Oh I can't
01:00:26I worked so hard
01:00:27Sorry
01:00:28Oh no tears are back
01:00:29No that's not wintering tears
01:00:30I know
01:00:31This is a happy time
01:00:32This is great
01:00:33I mean we're learning
01:00:34It's beautiful
01:00:35Look while you just manage that
01:00:37Shall we have a look at the final leaderboard
01:00:39Yeah sure
01:00:40For tonight as long as you're okay
01:00:41With that score
01:00:42Mia and Gustavo on top at 34
01:00:45Followed by you Felicity and Ariv on 31
01:00:48Well done to you guys
01:00:49Sean and Ashley 24
01:00:50And down at the same
01:00:51Shall we say the southern end of the leaderboard
01:00:53Karina and Andre and Osha and Shriani
01:00:56Now as we mentioned at the top of the show
01:00:58The total points tonight
01:00:59Will be combined with the judges scores from their first dance
01:01:02So let's have a look at our new rankings
01:01:05Oh movement
01:01:08There we go
01:01:09So Mia and Gustavo
01:01:11Still on top
01:01:12You guys
01:01:13Right behind
01:01:14And again
01:01:15Karina, Andre, Osha, Shriani
01:01:17Down the opposite end
01:01:19I'm not saying the bottom
01:01:20The opposite end
01:01:21But it is not over yet
01:01:22During the break
01:01:23Our audience will cast their vote
01:01:25They have a lot of power here
01:01:26Which could really shake things up in the rankings
01:01:29And once the audience vote is added to the judges scores
01:01:31Tonight's lowest ranked couple
01:01:33Will sadly be leaving the ballroom
01:01:35Back to you Sonia
01:01:36Thank you very much Chris
01:01:37Alright audience
01:01:38You got it?
01:01:39You can change the play here
01:01:41You can change everything
01:01:43If you have a favourite out there
01:01:45You need to get behind them and save them
01:01:47Because sadly one couple
01:01:49Will be eliminated tonight
01:01:51And after the break
01:01:52We're going to find out who it is
01:01:53This is Dancing with the Stars
01:01:55Welcome back
01:02:09In a moment we are about to find out who ranked the lowest
01:02:12And will therefore be leaving Dancing with the Stars
01:02:15But first
01:02:16Let's take a moment to look back
01:02:18At all of tonight's amazing performances
01:02:22Kyle wowed us with his Viennese waltz
01:02:24Karina brought the party vibes with her salsa
01:02:27You don't love me and I know now
01:02:42Mia's elegant Viennese waltz impressed us all
01:02:46I'll run away with you
01:02:50I'll run away with me
01:02:52Sean McAuliffe delivered flair in his Foxtrot.
01:03:01Osher brought us a big jumping jive.
01:03:11And Felicity gave us cheek and charm with her cha-cha-cha.
01:03:15Wow, there are some really impressive routines there.
01:03:24And the studio audience vote has now been combined with the judges' scores.
01:03:29Our couples can do no more.
01:03:31The results are in.
01:03:35So in no particular order, the first couple safely through is...
01:03:45It's Sean and Ashley.
01:03:57Get out of here when they turn to a mic.
01:04:00The next couple to go through is...
01:04:10Mia and Gustavo.
01:04:12The third couple through to dance again are...
01:04:29Kyle and Lily.
01:04:37Relief.
01:04:38Absolutely, they look very happy.
01:04:41The next couple returning to the ballroom is...
01:04:50Felicity and Ari.
01:04:57Oh, no.
01:04:58So that means Osher and Shriani and Karina and Andre, one of you is safe.
01:05:08And one of you is sadly out of the competition.
01:05:13The couple leaving Dancing with the Stars tonight is...
01:05:17Karina and Andre.
01:05:29Karina and Andre.
01:05:33So congratulations, Osher and Shriani.
01:05:36You are through to dance again.
01:05:39Karina and Andre, come on down here.
01:05:41Come and join us over here.
01:05:48We are so sorry to have to say goodbye at this point, but I'd love to know how your experience has been, Karina, on the show, because it's a world away from your job as a newsreader.
01:05:58So completely different, but it's been such a thrill, we've had so much fun training. Andre is not just a fantastic, highly qualified dancer, he's such a great teacher and he's so patient and he's put together the most beautiful choreography for us.
01:06:16And thank you so much to the audience and we've had a great time.
01:06:19It's been great getting to know you.
01:06:21Yeah, it's looked like that. And Andre, tell us about Karina. Obviously, serious newswoman, but a very fun side we've seen, especially tonight.
01:06:29Um, I think actually under newsreader kind of woman, she's actually very fun, very, she's a good person. Yeah. And I think she did great.
01:06:42She really did.
01:06:43Well said, Andre.
01:06:44We've loved having you.
01:06:45What a great couple. We really have enjoyed having you on the show.
01:06:47Absolutely. It's sad to see you.
01:06:54Chris, can I tell you though, next time it is going to be a huge show because it is a very special theme show.
01:07:03It's kings and queens of song and dance.
01:07:06Oh yeah. As our couples, well they dance to legendary kings and queens of pop, rock and soul while trying to avoid being banished from our kingdom forever.
01:07:15You do not want to miss this.
01:07:16Who knows.
01:07:17Well, thank you very much everybody. Hope you enjoyed the show. We will see you next week.
01:07:21Goodnight, Australia.
01:07:22I'm overwhelmed. The work that you have done to get me here is incredible. Um, I'm humbled that people voted for us and I can't wait to show the next one.
01:07:35I can't believe we're at the top of the leaderboard. How did that happen? I'm shocked.
01:07:42Hard work. Eight hours a day. A lot of sweating. And next week I'm on the same.
01:07:48I love you so much. I love dancing so much. I love being here so much. That's why I cry all the time. The stakes are high.
01:08:01Love you so much.
01:08:02It's okay.
01:08:03It's okay.
01:08:04I love dancing so much.
01:08:06I think so much.
