- yesterday
Today's contestants are Shirley & Paul Messenger from Kent, Kwan & Michael Tang from Hertfordshire & London, John Clark & Jo Everett from Avon, and Dave Otter & Catherine Cotterell from Hampshire & London. Bruce Forsyth is rather excruciating hosting in this episode, though he's not the only one to have a nightmare as his "peach" of an assistant Rosemary Ford recounts him her own dream. One contestant has his own dream about Rosemary that is a little saucy, another (who is great fun) tells of her wedding dress blushes and a third who is like "a fish to water." (You'll know what I mean when you hear her story and see her). Among the games are "On the Beat" (with the West Midlands Police drummers), "Reverse Your Ostrich" (toy making), "Fondant Fancies" (showing how near they were to Xmas then) and "Telly Tots" (guess the celebrity in the TV adverts). The finale involves Bangra Dancing, but whoever comes out on top creates a little bit of history as they become only the 2nd team in the 1990's revival to remember all the prizes. Even I didn't realize this until Brucie reveals it to the stunned couple, which is some feat.

00:48Oh, I did that three times this week
00:50Because we've got such a healthy looking audience
00:53They really are
00:55Because most weeks when I look out there
00:57It's like the outpatients department
00:59In fact, you look so healthy
01:01Will you stick your tongues out?
01:03Come on, you did when I first came on, didn't you?
01:07Thank you
01:09Only I know my wife's looking in
01:11And that's the exact colour of the carpet we want for our living
01:15Pale puce
01:17Now, I've got to get from pale puce to rosemary
01:20Er...
01:21See, if I'd have said pale peach
01:23I could have said, and here's another one
01:25Er...
01:26Right...

01:31The lovely, the gorgeous
01:33Rosemary Ford!

01:42Oh!
01:43Oh!
01:44Oh!
01:45Oh!
01:46Oh!
01:47Oh!
01:48They must have poured you into that dress
01:50They did
01:51Oh!
01:52I wish I'd have held the jug
01:53Oh!
01:54It's...
01:55I didn't tell her about that one, you know
01:58It sounds really...
01:59I sneaked that one in
02:00But no, look, something's been the matter with you all day
02:02You haven't been your usual perk yourself, now what's that?
02:04Well, it has, but you see
02:05The thing is, I wish that you'd never started telling us about your nightmares
02:08Oh, well, I didn't have one last night
02:10Oh, maybe you got my one instead
02:11Well, I think I must have done it
02:12Oh!
02:13It was horrible
02:14I've never been so frightened in all my life
02:15Oh, dear
02:16Yes, I mean, the thing is
02:17I was being chased by this monster
02:20It was a fiend, a grotesque creature
02:22Hideous, frightening figure
02:23Well, it just...
02:24It just defies all description
02:26Yes!
02:27Well, anyway, it was chasing me
02:28And I could feel its hot breath on the back of my neck
02:30Oh, yes
02:31Yes
02:32And then suddenly, a handsome young hunter appeared
02:34Yes, yes, yes
02:35Yes
02:36And a couple of more yes, yeses
02:37Anyway, this fiend was just about to grab me
02:40Go on, go on
02:41When this handsome young hunter fired three shots from his rifle
02:45And did he kill the horrible monster?
02:47No, you escaped
02:49No, no, no, no, you're lovely, isn't it?
02:58You're making yourself laugh again, aren't you?

04:14Who would you love to meet?
04:15Tom Jones
04:16Oh, yes

04:22It's not unusual
04:23You see
04:26You see, you see
04:27Idols like Tom and I
04:29We
04:30Well, it's a natural progression
04:32You see
04:33We just get sexier
04:34You know
04:35And we can't stop it
04:36I've tried but I can't stop it

05:10Oh, no
05:11And his two hands ended up on the train
05:14On the train of the dress?

15:36All right.
15:37Good job.
15:38There we are.
15:39There we are.
15:40And what a difficult thing to ask you to do.
15:43I mean, that is such precision.
15:45But anyway, now to judge this, we have PC Paul Wilkinson.
15:53Welcome, Paul.
15:55Welcome, Paul.
15:57Now, once again, we do thank all the gentlemen for being with us and giving us a game.
16:01That's marvellous.
16:02And you appear at many civic functions, in that sort of thing?
16:04Yes, we engage ourselves in lots of professional functions.
16:08But obviously, our main aim is to try and do as many charity things here.
16:12Of course.
16:12And do you ever go over to the continent at all?
16:14Yes.
16:14Yes, we've been to Germany several times.
16:16Oh, really?
16:16And we're hoping to go next year.
16:18Oh, lovely.
16:19Yes.
16:19We'll keep that for good work.
16:20Well, now, what did you think of them?
16:22First of all, over this side.
16:24Just there.
16:25Yes.
16:25It's a very difficult thing to ask them.
16:29We were hoping to use this as a bit of a stepping stone for recruiting, but...
16:33Oh, I see.
16:34No chance of that.
16:35No, I've changed my mind.
16:36Yeah.
16:37Paul, well, to be honest, he looked like he was playing with his mother's rolling pin.
16:42Because he was tending to jab at them.
16:44Yes, yes.
16:45You know.
16:46Dig at me.
16:46Yes, yes.
16:47But, you know, he put a lot of effort.
16:48He did, he did.
16:50Shirley here, well, she put a lot of effort into it.
16:53Well, she put a lot of effort into it.
16:56Let's face it, yeah.
16:57She couldn't get more than that one.
16:59Her co-ordination at times was a little bit eight, but she enjoyed it.
17:02She was extremely funny.
17:03Yes, bless her.
17:04And the face was wonderful.
17:05Yes, yes, indeed.
17:06Yes, indeed.
17:07Tight as a drum, she was.
17:10So, what do you think?
17:12For Paul, eight.
17:13Yes.
17:13For Shirley, seven.
17:14Seven of five.
17:15Well done, you two.
17:16Well done.
17:17Under the circumstances, to have her over here.
17:21Well, again, they both enjoyed it.
17:23Immensely.
17:24Okay.
17:24You know, she got a bit of speed there.
17:26But laughed it the whole way through.
17:27Oh, yes, absolutely.
17:28The smile was there the whole time.
17:29Really enjoyed it.
17:31And in actual fact, she got quite a bit of rhythm.
17:33Yes.
17:33You know, so, you know, she was quite good.
17:36Michael, well, he was holding the sticks, tell you correctly, most of the time.
17:39Yes.
17:40And he was actually playing the drum on a couple of occasions.
17:44Uh-huh, yes.
17:45That's a bit lucky, isn't it?
17:47Yeah.
17:48But, yeah, quite good, basically.
17:50Yeah, so, what about Marks?
17:51Uh, Kwan, seven.
17:53And Michael, nine.
17:55Oh, well done.
17:57Did that make an extra?
17:58Yes, indeed.
17:59Well done.
17:59Paul, thank you so much.
18:01And good luck with everything to you and the core of you.
18:04Well done, indeed.
18:05Thank you, Paul Wilkinson.
18:07Now then, what's on the board, Miss Ford?
18:10Well, Paul and Shirley have 15.
18:11Kwan and Michael have 16.
18:13Oh, only one hit.
18:15Okay.
18:15Now go and sit yourself down and get all that stuff off.
18:19Yes, I'm sorry about that.
18:20It must be very awkward.
18:22Reverse your ostrich.
18:24But first of all, take a look at these.
18:26Now, Mary Thought Limited have a delightful range of beautifully made cuddly toys.
18:33But nothing is mass produced.
18:35It's all finished up by hand.
18:37Will you please welcome, from Mary Thought Limited, Julie Smallman.
18:42Now, who is this that you brought with you?
18:53This is Olivia Ostrich.
18:54Olivia Ostrich.
18:56Oh, she's lovely.
18:57And she doesn't start out like this, does she?
18:59No, she's machined inside out.
19:02Yes.
19:02She's brought to me to turn.
19:04And then she's taken down to get stuffed.
19:06What is she saying?
19:14Yes, I'm not!
19:15No need to be like that.
19:19Right, bring them all over here.
19:21What a rude lot they are.
19:23Right, come over here.
19:24Now, let me just take care of this one.
19:26All righty?
19:27Fine?
19:28Lovely.
19:28And your own time, away you go.
19:29Now, watch very carefully what she does.
19:32You push the head.
19:33Push the head.
19:34The head.
19:35Down the neck.
19:35Through the hole in its back.
19:37Head through the hole.
19:39Head through the hole.
19:40Oh, that came out beautiful.
19:40Put the leg on the stick.
19:42I see.
19:44And what kind of...
19:45Is this a drumstick?
19:46Yes.
19:46Oh, well, why aren't you doing a chicken?
19:51I just thought of that.
19:54To myself.
19:56Right.
19:56Bring the legs up.
19:58Bring the leg up.
19:59Right.
20:00Be careful with the...
20:01Push the wings there.
20:03Oh, the wings first.
20:03There's the one wing there.
20:05Another wing there.
20:07Okay.
20:08And then he's...
20:08And a tang there.
20:09And a wing there.
20:10And a wing wing.
20:11Oh, and the boom.
20:12There's the boom.
20:13What absolutely marvellous.
20:15And then you get it stuffed and it finished up like this.
20:17Well, my little boy would love one of these.
20:19He really would.
20:21Okay.
20:21Right.
20:22We'll have to see about that.
20:23Yes, we will.
20:23We'll see about that.
20:24All right, then.
20:25See about that.
20:26Right.
20:26Come back and do some marking, Julie.
20:28Let's love me.
20:28Get your tables with you.
20:31Hello, hello, hello.
20:32Hello, hello.
20:32Hello, hello, hello.
20:33Here we are.
20:34Okay.
20:35Are you ready?
20:36You have, I believe, a minute and a half to do this, starting from now.
20:42Okay.
20:43Now, remember, if you can, exactly what Julie did.
20:46A good start is very, very important.
20:49A good start.
20:50What are you doing, Derb?
21:04Well, you started off with his bum, love, I think.
21:07Oh, no, I see what he's trying to do.
21:08Yes, but whether you're doing it the right way, I don't know.
21:13Oh, yes.
21:14Very good.
21:15Very good, Michael.
21:17A good start.
21:19And let's see what's going on.
21:20Oh, yes.
21:20Well done you, Paul.
21:22Yes.
21:23A very good start, indeed.
21:25Lovely, lovely.
21:33You're going to kill it, I'll tell you that.
21:45Oh, dear.
21:46And what's going on here?
21:47Have we got anything through yet?
21:49Oh, yes, you've got the head through.
21:50Well done, Quan.
21:52And, oh, my goodness, this is nearly finished here, Michael.
21:54And tell us that, what?
21:55Oh, blimey, he's right.
21:57You haven't got a head yet.
21:59Where's his beak?
22:00Where's his beak?
22:01Right.
22:01OK, so, wherever you're up to, stop, wherever you're up to, put it down, dear, put it down.
22:06You lost patience with it, didn't you?
22:08Right.
22:08Julie, come back and see if you can sort this out, my darling.
22:11Yes.
22:11Well, it wasn't a bad effort, because he got the beak through and the head through and the neck and everything.
22:22One leg was out.
22:23A wing.
22:24And he got one wing, but, of course, that leg wasn't out and we didn't see a bum.
22:28So, what do you think?
22:30It's quite good.
22:30Quite good, really?
22:31Yeah.
22:31Six, I think.
22:32Six.
22:33Well done, Paul.
22:34Well done, you did.
22:38Now, we've got the two wings and we've got the bum, but, of course, what's this?
22:43I mean, what is that?
22:46What is it?
22:46I mean, for goodness sake.
22:48Oh, you've got one leg out here, Shirley, but you couldn't get the beak out.
22:52The beak's gone somewhere else where ostriches put their beaks.
22:55I don't know.
22:56So, what do you think?
22:58Um, five.
22:59Just five.
23:00Five.
23:01Oh, I was hoping you'd say five all day.
23:04Oh, if there hadn't been a five, I wouldn't have stayed alive.
23:08I'll tell you that.
23:09So, now, this is absolutely excellent.
23:13I mean, look at that.
23:14Wonderful.
23:14Everything.
23:15Wings, clams, beautiful.
23:18That's got to be what?
23:19That's got to be ten.
23:21We've got a ten.
23:22And another time.
23:28Look at this.
23:30Well done, Michael.
23:32Absolutely, isn't it?
23:34You've got to be in it, ten.
23:35Yes?
23:35All right, we'll give our love to everybody at Merry Thought Limited, and thank you very much for being with us, Julie.
23:42Thank you, please.
23:42You're in love.
23:43All right, Derek?
23:43Five, stay alive.
23:45What's on the board, Miss Ford?
23:57Paul and Shirley have 26.
23:59Yes.
23:59Juan and Michael have 36.
24:01Oh, my goodness.
24:03Oh, David, good work.
24:06We are.
24:06Oh, my darling.
24:09Thank you, but sorry we can lose you.
24:11We really are.
24:11You will be getting a generation game telephone each, and we'll be seeing you in our grand final, which is coming up very soon.
24:22Thank you, Shirley.
24:23Thank you, Paul, again.
24:24Good luck.
24:25There we go.
24:26Nice people, nice people.
24:28Now, who have we got left, pray tell me?
24:32Our third team's from Avon.
24:34Their father and daughter, John Clark and Joe Everett.
24:37Right.
24:41An Avon lady?
24:47Yeah.
24:47Of course.
24:48Lovely, lovely.
24:48You are Joanna...
24:49Everett.
24:50What's that?
24:51Everett.
24:51Yes, I had a big breakfast.
24:53What do you do, Mrs Everett?
24:57I'm a credit control manager for the Southwestern Electricity Company.
25:01Very nice indeed.
25:02And you're married to Michael.
25:03Yeah.
25:03Tell us about your wedding night, can you?
25:05Well, as you know, there's supposed to be very passionate affairs your wedding night, but the only thing my husband got was Sky Sports Channel, because I was so exhausted I fell asleep.
25:13No, so you switched the television on for him, and then went, and that was it?
25:18Oh.
25:19Well, tell me, Mrs Everett.
25:21I mean...
25:22Sorry.
25:23Everett.
25:24Yes.
25:25Everett.
25:25Never.
25:26Right.
25:26Apart from sleeping, any other hobbies at all?
25:29Swimming.
25:29Oh, really?
25:30Yes, yes, yes.
25:31Because of, um, my chest being rather large, I find swimming...
25:34Not another one.
25:37This show's getting bigger and better all the time.
25:40I can't believe it.
25:40It's a night for them, isn't it?
25:41Anyway, away you go, Geth.
25:43Because you're...
25:43No, it's just, it's more appropriate for me.
25:45Oh, yeah, being a swimmer?
25:46Yes.
25:46Yes, fine, yes.
25:47Well, you'll certainly never drown.
25:52Have you ever achieved anything?
25:54I managed to stop biting my fingernails after 26 years.
25:57Really?
25:58So whose fingernails do you bite now?
25:59Oh, your raspberries.
26:01Go, they're both...
26:02Send him off to sleep.
26:03Right.
26:03You do a brilliant impression of a fish.
26:05Yes.
26:06Oh, do you?
26:07Tell me, would you...
26:08Would you mind doing it to camera five?
26:09Camera five.
26:10Yeah.
26:11F...
26:11LAUGHTER
26:13APPLAUSE
26:17APPLAUSE
26:18APPLAUSE
26:19That is great.
26:27That is really nice.
26:28Now, can you do the chips?
26:29That was wonderful.
26:32That really was wonderful.
26:33Now then, over to your father.
26:36I didn't expect anything like that, really.
26:38Your father, who is John Clark.
26:40Clark.
26:40John, welcome to meet you.
26:42And what do you do?
26:43I'm an implementation engineer and also a retained firefighter.
26:46Oh, so you do that sort of part-time?
26:48Part-time, yeah.
26:49Firefighter, yes.
26:50And you're married to Janet.
26:52Has she any irritating habits at all?
26:53She seems to do everything opposite what I tell her.
26:56LAUGHTER
26:57You think you're the only one?
27:01LAUGHTER
27:02Everything you tell her to do, she won't do.
27:04That's right.
27:05Have you ever asked her to have a headache?
27:07LAUGHTER
27:08Worth trying.
27:10Think about it, John.
27:12There's a few out there thinking about it.
27:14Right, now then, any ambitions as a firefighter?
27:18Well, I would like to rescue Rosemary Ford from the bath...
27:20Oh, yeah.
27:21...with her toe stuck in the...
27:21LAUGHTER
27:22Really?
27:23It's magic.
27:24It is fine.
27:25We'd have to get in the queue, mate.
27:27Right.
27:27LAUGHTER
27:28And at the plughole end.
27:29LAUGHTER
27:30LAUGHTER
27:30Anyway, Joanna and John, thank you for being with us.
27:34Lovely people again, Popo and Blair.
27:37And you'll see who they are playing again.
27:39Nice people.
27:40Very nice.
27:41Good.
27:41Now, who have we got left?
27:43Don't forget, if you ever get your toe, he's the man.
27:45Right.
27:46Now, who have you got left?
27:47Our four teams from Hampshire and London.
27:49Their father and daughter, Dave Otter and Catherine Cotterill.
27:53Right.
27:53LAUGHTER
27:53APPLAUSE
27:55Welcome, welcome.
27:58How are you?
27:59How are you?
28:00Ooh, old hands.
28:02And how are you, sir?
28:03Very well, thank you.
28:03Fine, jolly good.
28:04You're Catherine...
28:05Cotterill.
28:06Now, what do you do?
28:07I'm a research officer for the Addictive Behaviour Centre at Roehampton Institute.
28:11Oh, that sounds a very worthy job, dealing with people with many problems, yes.
28:15You're married to Gordon for six months.
28:17Oh, six months in all?
28:19Yes.
28:19I thought you had that little glow about you.
28:21Where did you meet him?
28:21Where did you meet him?
28:22I met him through the Salvation Army.
28:24Oh!
28:25My mother and father met through the Salvation Army.
28:27My mother used to sing, and my father played in the brass band, so we have something in
28:33common.
28:33Yes.
28:33And I know what happened.
28:34You walked in there, and they were all singing, come and join us, come and join us.
28:40And they joined you together, didn't they?
28:41And you've been together ever since.
28:42Yes.
28:43Well, much happiness to you.
28:44That's lovely.
28:45Now then, tell us about the engagement.
28:46Yeah, well, when Gordon was thinking about proposing, he'd gone out and bought the engagement ring,
28:52and hidden it in the car, waiting for the right moment to propose.
28:55Yes, yes.
28:55Now, I wasn't aware of this, and so I kept leaving the car unlocked, and he kept following
29:00behind me, locking it.
29:01And in the end, we locked the car keys in the car.
29:03Oh, no.
29:03And so I had to call the AA man out to come and rescue the keys and the ring.
29:07Oh, oh.
29:08And Gordon was really worried that he'd have to buy another ring.
29:10Of course, he was worried about all the expense, yes.
29:13Well, he shouldn't have bothered, really.
29:14You could have just put your uniforms on and have a collection.
29:16I thought we'd have got out of that right now, then.
29:20Your driving test was eventful.
29:23What happened there with your driving test?
29:24Well, it was my second test, because I failed the first one.
29:27And I reached down for the gear stick.
29:29But instead of actually getting hold of the gear stick, I grabbed the driving examiner's
29:33knee.
29:33Oh, really?
29:34Oh, yeah, yes.
29:35So what did he say?
29:36He said, please continue.
29:38Oh.
29:44Wait a minute.
29:45I'm trying.
29:46So, did you pass your test?
29:49Yes.
29:49Yes, I think so.
29:50You think so, yes.
29:52With honours.
29:53Right.
29:53Now, over to your father.
29:54I'll change the subject.
29:55Over to your father, Dave.
29:57Otter.
29:58Otter.
29:58All right, I won't badger you.
30:03What do you do, Otter?
30:05Well, Dave.
30:05Dave.
30:06I work for the Salvation Army, Bruce.
30:07Oh, you do?
30:08So is the whole family sort of...
30:10Yes.
30:11In the Salvation Army?
30:12Yes.
30:12Oh, yeah.
30:13Well, it's better than hanging around the street corner, isn't it?
30:14Tell me, Mr. Weasel.
30:19Er, Mr. Usman.
30:20So, you're married to Ruth.
30:22Now, where did you meet Ruth?
30:24We met at the Salvation Army Sunday School.
30:26Oh, I love it as well.
30:28It's such a romantic place.
30:29Now, has she got a nickname for you, Mr. Gerbil?
30:32Er, me, Mr. Usman.
30:35Yes, she likes to call me Victor.
30:37Victor?
30:37Victor?
30:38Why Victor?
30:38After Victor mailed you, because everything I do seems to go wrong.
30:41Oh, really?
30:42Yes.
30:42For instance, give us an instance.
30:44Well, I had to go up into the loft in the house.
30:47And Ruth was out at the time, and I climbed up the ladder.
30:49And as I got into the loft, the ladder fell away.
30:52I was still there three hours after, when she came home.
30:56You're a lovely people.
30:57Thank you for representing the Salvation Army.
31:00Pop over there.
31:01We have a game coming up for you.
31:03That's it.
31:03Easy does it.
31:04Well done.
31:05The board game is called Fondant Fances.
31:08But first of all, feast your eyes on these.
31:11Now, please welcome, from Slatter's Bakeries, our old friend, Ken Slatter.
31:19Yes.
31:26Scott, to the stage now, we can't possibly do a series without you.
31:30Now then, you're not going to tell us what festive fondant foolery you're going to do for us this year.
31:36It's going to be a surprise.
31:38So come over here, and if you'll ball, come over, and get in a position where you can see exactly what Ken is up to.
31:46And in his own words, in demonstration, we go.
31:49We have a couple of sponge pieces here.
31:51We're just going to pipe two bulbs of buttercream.
31:55And another little part there.
31:58Another one.
32:00There we are.
32:01That's the start.
32:02Into the fondant.
32:04Give the fondant a little stir.
32:06Make sure it's already stirred.
32:07Otherwise, the skin on the top causes trouble.
32:10Into the fondant.
32:11Oh.
32:12This is the delicate part.
32:14That's it.
32:14Well done.
32:15See, all nicely covered.
32:16That's how we want you to get yours.
32:18Nicely covered there.
32:21Little cloth there to wipe your fingers on.
32:23Good.
32:24Right.
32:24Now, let me put...
32:27Anybody guess what it is yet?
32:29I have a personal.
32:30Eh?
32:30I have a personal.
32:31Who?
32:31Father Christmas.
32:33Father Christmas.
32:34Right.
32:34Don't keep it yourself.
32:35Father Christmas.
32:37Right.
32:37Yes.
32:37Yes.
32:38Okay, a little bubble.
32:38I thought you might have thought it was Ken Livingston.
32:41A little bubble on the hat.
32:43A little bit of snow on his hat.
32:44A little bubble.
32:45You see, there's snow.
32:46All the snow around the side.
32:49Then a little...
32:50Two eyes.
32:50Two eyes.
32:53That's it.
32:54And his whiskers round.
32:57So lovely and delicate, the way he goes.
32:59Isn't it lovely?
33:00I mean, it really is so delicate and the neatness of it.
33:04Ken is a past master at this.
33:06Have you got a nice little beard?
33:07A couple of whiskers.
33:08Oh, yeah.
33:09Oh, there's the...
33:09Ha, ha.
33:11Isn't that wonderful?
33:13Absolutely.
33:14A hot spoon.
33:14Ah, now then.
33:15Watch this.
33:16Just give him a good big smile like that.
33:20That's the mouth.
33:20Isn't that beautiful?
33:23There's a jolly...
33:24There's a little...
33:25Father Christmas.
33:27And...
33:27A couple of pupils there.
33:28Two little pupils there.
33:30One little pupil.
33:31Four little pupils all together.
33:32And there's your happy Father Christmas.
33:35Isn't that lovely?
33:36Absolutely beautiful.
33:37Absolutely beautiful.
33:39Well done, Ken.
33:41Will you come back and do some barking?
33:43We will.
33:44Away you go then and come here and get behind your tables.
33:47Well, I say get behind...
33:48Put your pennies on first.
33:49That's it.
33:50Then get to the side of your tables.
33:54Now then, you've got about a minute and a half to make your Santa Clauses starting from now.
33:59Now, away you go.
34:01Now, see if you can get off to a good start.
34:07That's it.
34:08Pretty good start here.
34:09Oh, yes.
34:10Very good start here as well.
34:12That's it.
34:13Good.
34:15Yeah, you should start to do a bit of dipping now.
34:18Start to get a bit of dipping ready.
34:22That's it.
34:23Stir it first a little bit.
34:25That's it.
34:26Get that skin off the top.
34:27You see, if you've got the skin there...
34:29Fine.
34:30Does it feel good?

34:32But that's good.
34:33That is a very good one you've got there.
34:35That is beautiful.
34:36And two good ones here as well.
34:39Yeah, the first part of it.
34:40Well done.
34:41Now, don't forget your next part.
34:43What do you do next?

34:58Yeah.
34:58I'm pleased with all of you.
34:59You've got 30 seconds to go.
35:01So start doing all your sort of beard business and the little filling-ins that...
35:08Very neat, Catherine.
35:10Yeah, lovely.
35:11Yes, plenty of that on.
35:12Good.
35:13All round the side.
35:14That's it.
35:14That's it.
35:17Fine.
35:20Goodo.
35:21What are you doing over here?
35:22That's it.

35:25All right.
35:25Fine.
35:26You've got 10 seconds to go.
35:27So stop whatever you're doing and get the mouth.
35:30See if you can get a nice mouth, because you'll get extra points with that.
35:32A little mouth there with a hot spoon.
35:35Yes.
35:35See if you can get the red mouth to show if possible.
35:39Well, that's it.
35:40Good.
35:41Very good.
35:42Very good.
35:42Very good.
35:42That's it.
35:45Oh, blimey.
35:46He's a big mouth father.
35:48Right.
35:48OK, time's up.
35:50Wherever you're up to, stop.
35:51Wherever you're up to, good.
35:52Ken, come back and do some marking, please.
35:55Come on.
36:00We stand just there.
36:01And if I can just show this to the camera.
36:04Very good effort.
36:05He made a bit of a gap there with his mouth.
36:07I mean, he gave me a real big mouth, but then it filled in again.
36:10Yes.
36:10Very good.
36:11We'll give that 6 out of 10, please.
36:126 out of 10?
36:13Yes, I think so.
36:14A very, very good effort.
36:15Well done indeed, John.
36:17Now then.
36:19I can just come round here, my darling.
36:21Get that out of the way.
36:22And the spoon.
36:23Yeah, very good again.
36:24Look.
36:25His tongue's hanging out.
36:27It's not only the mouth.
36:28You've got a tongue there as well, isn't it?
36:29Yeah.
36:30Excellent tongue.
36:31No pupils, but that's very, very good.
36:33Yeah?
36:33But we're going to give that 8 out of 10.
36:348 out of 10.
36:35Very well done indeed.
36:38Very well done indeed.
36:39Oh, this is excellent as well.
36:41This is actually fantastic.
36:42Oh, this is a good...
36:43Now, look at that.
36:43I mean, this is a very difficult thing to do, you know?
36:47Believe me.
36:48That's right.
36:49That is quite wonderful.
36:51I can give her that for Christmas.
36:53She could help you out at Christmas.
36:55You all right?
36:55Yeah, yeah.
36:55OK, if you want to earn a few, Bob.
36:579 out of 10.
36:579 out of 10.
36:59Well done.
37:00Excellent.
37:02Excellent.
37:03And another one here.
37:04Another big mouth on at Christmas there.
37:06Yeah.
37:07And the eyes are a bit...
37:08The pupils are a bit big, yes, but what do you think?
37:12I'm going to give that to a 7 out of 10.
37:147 out of 10.
37:15Well done indeed.
37:16And once more, Ken, a very merry Christmas to you.
37:20Thank you so much.
37:20And I said before, we can't do a series without you.
37:23You're a delight.
37:24Thank you, Ken.
37:25That was it.
37:27Woo!
37:28You are...
37:29You are...
37:30You are...
37:31But what's on the board, Miss Ford?
37:35John and Joe have 14.
37:37Catherine and Dave have 16.
37:39Oh, two in it.
37:40Two in it.
37:41So it's certainly not over.
37:42Now, our fourth game is called Teletots.
37:47We're going to show you some famous people who did commercials and adverts when they were
37:52children.
37:52All you have to do is tell us who you think they are.
37:56Okay.
37:57Get to your lecterns.
37:58You two over there.
37:59You two...
37:59That's lovely.
38:04Now then, could we have the first child, please?
38:10There we are.
38:12Now then, just write down who you think it is.
38:15And if you're not certain, at least have a guess.
38:17You never know.
38:18Sometimes you'll be able to guess right.
38:19Have you got answers?
38:22Yeah.
38:22Good.
38:23We've got answers here.
38:24Now, tell us who that was.
38:30Jonathan Ross.
38:31What have we got over there?
38:32We have Richard Branson.
38:34Richard Branson.
38:34And Noel Edmonds.
38:35Noel Edmonds.
38:37Well, I think there's better than us.
38:39We've got John Major.
38:41Can you imagine him doing an advert, for goodness sake, a commercial?
38:44And Ian Botham.
38:46So, no points to start with.
38:49Could we have the next child, please?
38:51See if we do better than this one.
38:53And we hope you're doing better at home up to yet.
38:55There we are.
38:56There's the little child.
38:58But who did she grow into?
39:01Have a look at that face.
39:02You can see there's a definite look.
39:07Definite look.
39:08All right.
39:11Now then.
39:12Who was it?
39:14Or is it now?
39:18Susan George.
39:19Can't you see the look?
39:20Look at the little look.
39:21And the smile.
39:22There we are.
39:23So, what did you have over there?
39:24We've got Annika Rice.
39:26Annika Rice?
39:27And Julie Andrews.
39:28No good at all.
39:30We've got Sharon Stone.
39:32How close.
39:35I wish.
39:37But we've got Petula Clark here.
39:40So, no points at all.
39:42If anybody's playing at home and doing well, will they come to the studio quick?
39:50Right.
39:51By the way, Susan George was advertising Smedley's Fish.
39:56Bit of useless information, but there we are.
39:59Could we have the next one, please?
40:02Now then.
40:04Now, it's the young man, the boy we're interested in.
40:07Not the little girl.
40:08The boy.
40:09So, yeah, the boy we want.
40:14So, have a look down there if it helps you, yes?
40:16Now then, have a look at that expression.
40:21Yes.
40:22I've got two answers here.
40:24Fine.
40:24Now, who was that?
40:29Keith Chegwin.
40:30Okay.
40:31So, what have we got over there?
40:32We've got Keith Chegwin.
40:34Yes.

40:45Four points.
40:46And just two points for your side there.
40:48Okay, the last one, please.
40:51And there again, it's the look that you can't really mistake in a way.
40:57And you do see this person a lot.
41:08You've just made the game a farce, you have.
41:11You've made it a farce.
41:13Okay, have you got an answer there?
41:14Okay, now, who was that?
41:16Martin Lewis, one of our most famous newsreaders.
41:23What have we got over there?
41:24Noel Edmonds.
41:25Noel Edmonds again.
41:26Yes, and Annika Rice.
41:31Martin, we do apologise.
41:33On behalf of the show, we had no intention of that.
41:36We've got Bruce here.
41:38Bruce!
41:39And we've got Shirley Bassey.
41:43Where did you come with that one?
41:46God, dear, oh, dear.
41:48So, there we are.
41:49A lot of fun, but not many points.
41:51But well done over there.
41:53Come on.
41:54Come on, dear, oh, dear.
41:55Come back here.
41:58Now, what's on the board, Miss Ford?

42:05Oh, a tie-breaker.
42:07Oh, how pink.
42:09How pink.
42:10Now, get a bit closer together here.
42:12All face out to the front.
42:14It's the first one who answers the question correctly.
42:17And think before you speak, okay?
42:19Who played the lead role in the film The Firm?
42:26Tom Cruise.
42:27Tom Cruise.
42:28Yes.
42:30Well done.
42:31Well done.

43:04It's a dance called Bangra,
43:07which means folk dance of the Punjab.
43:10It tells the story of the festive harvest season,
43:13the sowing of seeds,
43:15the gathering of the crops,
43:16and the celebration once the work has been done.
43:19Please welcome the great Indian dancers, Bangra.
44:21Come in.
