00:30A mysterious criminal who calls himself the Eagle
00:57is plotting against the directors of an airplane factory,
01:02whom he has tried to frighten with warnings written on the sky in smoke and fire.
01:08The directors have reason to suspect that the Eagle is Nathan Gregory,
01:13owner of a small carnival show,
01:15who has accused them of stealing from him an invention that is worth a fortune.
01:21Craig McCoy, stunt flyer with the carnival,
01:24and his friend, a ventriloquist, are trapped by agents of the Eagle
01:29in an office which they have discovered to be the Eagle's headquarters.
01:33Try the other door.
01:44Wake the chair.

07:02I don't know.
07:03Well, we've got to find him.
07:05Craig's been kidnapped for the Eagles game.
07:09Let's go.
07:16Do you know where the Skipper is, Bob?
07:19Watch the door, Jaime.
07:21I've got bad news for you, Skipper.

08:02You're trying to be funny?
08:03Oh, it's a trick.

08:05He couldn't have got out.
08:07That's where he is in that cabin.
08:09Hey, Lips.
08:10Are you trying to stall me while Gregory gets away?
08:11Oh, wait a minute.
08:12Can't you see it's a trick cabinet?
08:13Gregory is the back of it.
08:14He's the back of it.

08:30You're trying to stall me while Gregory gets away.
08:31Oh, wait a minute.
08:32Can't you see it's a trick cabinet?
08:33Gregory is the back of it.
08:35What are you trying to put on us?
08:42Gregory is inside now.
08:44You're crazy.
08:45We just looked inside.
08:47Don't you understand?
08:48You can take the panel and turn it around.
08:50If you go out in front, you'll catch him.
08:52All right.
08:53I'll look once more, and he'd better be there.
09:05Well, he ain't.
09:11He ain't there.

09:25You little rat.
09:31That's enough.

09:43What happened?
09:49Keep him here till I report to the Eagles.
10:03We can't leave Craig in their hands.

10:15Listen, mug.
10:16I'll furnish the brains.
10:17You furnish the beef.
10:18Get that trunk.
10:19I'll point his hands up.
10:21But, Brains, you furnish the beef.
10:22Get that trunk.
10:35You didn't want to throw the brains.
10:36You furnish the beef.
10:37Get that trunk!
10:38Give me that gun!
10:40You fellas get up there and head him out on that runway,
10:42and I'll get him at the other end.
11:08All right.
11:38Hey, what do you got in that trunk?
11:52Nothing.

12:43Get on in.
12:45It's got a couple of holes in it.
12:55What's the idea?
12:56I ain't done nothing.
12:57You've got Gregory in there.
12:58I have not!
13:00Now I know he's in there. Open it up.
13:04Didn't I tell you it wouldn't work?
13:06Oh, so he is in there, huh?
13:09Come on, give me the keys.
13:12Gee whiz, I give it to him and it's locked up in there.
13:16Ah, now we'll have to take the trunk and all to the station.
13:30Hey, come on, boys. We got him. Come on.
13:45That was great work, boys.
13:47I'd give a dollar to see that cop's face when he opens the trunk and sees who's in it.
13:51And I would give two dollars to hear what the double-closing cloud says when they turn it loose.
14:00Oh, hello. Major Evans?
14:05Ah, this is Gregory speaking.
14:09No, not the Eagle. Gregory.
14:14I have something of the utmost importance.
14:16Uh, this is Gregory speaking.
14:20No, not the Eagle. Gregory.
14:24I have something of the utmost importance for you.
14:27Gregory, I have something of the utmost importance to discuss with you and your directors.
14:33If you will remain at the factory, I'll be there as soon as possible.
14:37Daddy, you're not going to the airplane factory.
14:41They're holding Craig prisoner. I've got to do something to help him.
14:44Oh, but those men are your enemies. You can't put yourself in their power.
14:48You wouldn't have me desert a friend who's risking his life to help me.
14:52Now, would you, Jean?
14:57Hey, it's funny that we don't hear from...
15:14Why, Craig, we thought you were still a prisoner.
15:18Oh, I got loose.
15:20Say, the skipper has just gone to turn you loose.
15:24Gone? Where?
15:25To the factory.
15:27Why, he's meeting the, uh, directors there.
15:57Oh, won't you sit down?
15:59You're holding Craig McCoy prisoner. I've come to make a deal for his release.
16:01What sort of deal, Gregory?
16:03You've built this business on the invention you stole from his fellow chief.
16:04Oh, go.
16:05You're holding Craig McCoy prisoner. I've come to make a deal for his release.
16:08What sort of deal, Gregory?

16:32Let McCoy go, and I'll sign over all my rights to the invention.
16:36Do you really need to say that you had such an invention?
16:40Certainly I did.
16:42Then it's you who've been threatening us.
16:45No, I've never threatened you.
16:46That's just a charge you've trumped up against me
16:49because you robbed me and wanted to get rid of me.
16:51Oh, that's idiotic.
17:08Now, wait a minute.
17:09You can't buy McCoy's release from us, Gregory.
17:13In the first place, we haven't got him.
17:15Second place, we're not afraid of your claim.
17:17We bought a legitimate patent from the man who invented it.
17:22Prove that last statement,
17:23and I'll believe you're not holding McCoy prisoner.
17:26Green, you bought the patent.
17:28Isn't the bill of sale in the safe?
17:31Why, why yes, of course.
17:33Get it, get it, will you please?
