00:05happen to have 16 games and all 32 teams are playing and like you said there's like you know

00:09nine games at seven o'clock on that saturday night you know it all just jammed together

00:14tuesday october 28th is the day i'm talking about that they've done the last few years

00:19where they have six o'clock 6 30 6 45 7 7 15 7 30 and they stagger every game all the way up to 11

00:27o'clock where they'll play the kings and the sharks in san jose that should be once a month

00:32every month they should have a night like that where they stagger from 6 to 11 every team in the

00:39league plays you build something around it people look forward to hey when they when next month do

00:45they do you promote it that night next month it's november the 15th oh december 25 27th we're doing

00:51it again and you could the books could build things around it george this is a gambling opportunity

00:57it's a nice night where you have every hockey team playing please get smart and figure this stuff

01:03out we're trying to help george we're trying to help them here the league and the books we're trying

01:08to make them more interested in hockey they need to listen to us george we're the ones they have to

01:13listen to annoyed i i the problem is they don't listen to anybody the angel the nhl thinks they're

01:19the nfl where they can do whatever they want and people are going to watch and people are going to come

01:22that's not the way it works it's just not the way it works no one is the nfl you need to model

01:27yourself after the nfl but you're not the nfl you need to work harder try harder and i don't i never

01:32thought the nhl does i think they do stupid things the fact that i don't know when october 7th is but i

01:37i can always guarantee you it's going to be opening night of you know the yankees playing

01:41the tigers in a playoff round you know that just kills you it just kills you and listen they're not

01:47totally stupid they don't do it on a monday night and they'll go challenge monday night football

01:50but it's probably not out of the realm of possibility either because that's how the nhl just

01:54doesn't they don't think long term in mind they don't they don't plan things out i've always

01:58questioned that about the nhl it could be so much better but you should be staggering times like i

02:03said 6 30 6 30 it's not that difficult it's not that hard here and you'll get always you get eyeballs

02:10on the game you'll expand your game and here's another thing uh george that i was just looking at

02:16which you know for the nightly hockey gamblers for next year is something you're gonna have to

02:22take into account the season starts basically the same time it always does right george october 7th

02:28october 8th 6th 7th 8th it's the 7th the season is ending the same time it always does it's april the

02:3316th uh next season which is about where they've ended the last couple years you know stretching

02:37things out giving them more days off difference this year is george there is three weeks off

02:43in the middle for the olympics and i know last year they had the four nations it wasn't three

02:49weeks it was about 10 days about a week week and a half somewhere around there george that means

02:55you're gonna have a lot of back-to-backs you're gonna have a lot of three games in four nights

03:00you're gonna have teams playing uh much different you're not gonna see two games in a week for a lot

03:05of teams they're gonna have to they're packing all these games in george in the same amount of time

03:09with three weeks coming out of the schedule yeah it's gonna it's it is an interesting way to look

03:14at it uh that's a lot of gambling if you really want to go deep into the front how many he's

03:17playing back-to-back nights uh how are they going to use their goaltenders do you have a good backup

03:21goaltender that sort of thing it's it is a way to play team futures there but you're right they

03:25got to pack it in you know listen i love the nhl going to the olympics i want them in the olympics

03:29but that three weeks is tough man because it's really that's a slow time of the olympic games

03:33right uh they don't play every night so uh it is what it is i want them so i'm not going to complain

03:38about that but uh yeah it's gonna be a different kind of schedule than what we're used to
