00:00So, one last NHL story, the league recently met with a group interested in bringing an

00:07expansion team to New Orleans.

00:10And I have gone on record this week as saying, you know, we were just there, SportsGrid,

00:14setting the bar at the Super Bowl Radio Row for SB59 with the Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs.

00:23And I said when we got back, not when I was there, but I said when we got back, I said,

00:29I just, I can't even believe they have an NBA team there because it's really, it's an

00:36awful team.

00:39I think it's an awful franchise.

00:41I think they've screwed everything up.

00:43They've screwed up Zion Williamson.

00:45They've screwed up Anthony Davis.

00:47What haven't they screwed up?

00:49And secondly, let's just face facts.

00:52It's a, it's a very dangerous place.

00:56I think Bourbon Street, like it's, you know, it is what it is, but it's, it's actually

01:00hell on earth.

01:02It's you know, I walked outside my hotel in 30 seconds.

01:06I saw fentanyl, cocaine, prostitution, heroin.

01:10I saw people going to the bathroom right in the middle of the street.

01:14I saw giant horses crapping all over the street.

01:18I saw them dragging people by handcuffs, by the ends of horses and ropes.

01:24Like I thought I was in a, like a bad movie.

01:27I just do not believe that it's a safe place.

01:31And I know people love the Crescent City.

01:34I know they love the jazz and the food is absolutely remarkable.

01:38The restaurants there are second to none.

01:40It's just fantastic food.

01:41But when it comes to sports, I have to be honest.

01:44I believe that the saints should be there and nothing else.

01:49Couldn't agree more.

01:50You said it perfectly.

01:52New Orleans, beautiful cafes, great people, but you know, murder capital, very dangerous.

01:56You don't want to get off the main areas.

01:58You're a dead man.

02:00It's just that simple.

02:01It really sucks because it has the history and Gabe brought up a great point.

02:03Very similar to the French Quarter, like Montreal, the old cobblestone and stuff.

02:07It's beautiful.

02:08But the violence and the problems down there, it's unbelievable.

02:11And by the way, NHL, you're talking about New Orleans as one of the worst ideas I've

02:15ever heard.

02:16Like literally, Kansas City, Cleveland, if you weren't going to do the States.

02:19And what about Quebec City?

02:20Like, are you going to spit in these guys' faces some more?

02:23Like really?

02:24That was great.

02:25Yeah, you take away the Nordiques, you're talking about getting a hockey team in New

02:28Orleans.

02:29You can't even get a basketball team to work.

02:30Like, who the hell?

02:31What is this expansion?

02:32Oh, we got to go down here and there and there.

02:35Like, it's just, man, that idea sucks.

02:37If I was in the boardroom, Scott, I'd throw like water on the guy, coffee.

02:40So you're fired.

02:41They've already expanded so many times, I feel like a Band-Aid.

02:46I don't even need any more teams in the NHL.
