00:00we continue our reactions to the first ever four nations face off in a wonderful championship game

00:07last night in bean town between the united states and canada best on best for the first time

00:12in more than a decade and the canadians victorious claiming the first ever title

00:17in the four nations face off to help our reactions to everything we saw and to set

00:22the stage now for the remainder of this nhl regular season our canadian colleague joe madden

00:29joins us here bright and early on this friday and joe as such up in the great white north

00:39oh absolutely the locker room song last night was we are the champions and that's how all

00:44canadians are feeling waking up this morning definitely feeling like we took back our game

00:50because after the usa won in that saturday matchup canada was really feeling down all

00:55the americans were saying it's now our game but canada answered back in the clutches of

01:00clutch moments and i tell you this was an epic win for them last night and an epic battle team usa

01:06needs to hold their head high this was a game of inches and i'm so glad to see canada was able to

01:11come out on top but it really came down to that built ending so it was an incredible game by team

01:17canada in net by bingington yes it certainly was joe as you were watching everything last night

01:25not just 60 minutes but beyond into the extra session and the 3-2 win for canada in overtime

01:31outside of jordan bennington and how the canadians got it done what stands out to you most about the

01:36performance last night inside td garden yeah it was the ability for canada to fight back on that

01:42four check that four check so strong of team usa and they found a way to get it done now kayle

01:48macar being out there on the ice really was a huge advantage one of the best defensive

01:53players out there in the whole league best of the best in my opinion and for him to be on the ice

01:59in this game which he wasn't in that first game versus team usa was the turning point and it was

02:04also like i said jordan bingington you look at what he was able to do in goal in that game and

02:10it was outstanding he made those big saves that we've all been wanting but the four nations round

02:16robin all of these games you guys we saw not what i don't know if we saw what we expected we didn't

02:23know what to expect going into this right we didn't know how these players would come out we

02:27saw playoff style hockey for every single game out there we saw the big hits we saw the fights we saw

02:33the speed and you look at that first period the speed that those players played with it was

02:39outstanding and it continued through the whole thing both goaltenders did a phenomenal job there

02:43was an intense minute and it was between the 14 and 13 mark in that first period where it looked

02:50like team usa was going to score again so it was intense throughout the whole game it was an

02:55absolute nail biter it did come down to a game of inches and usa leaving connor alone

03:01in the slot in overtime was what ultimately gave canada the win
