00:11and brag about cutting
00:13$9 billion from rural radio stations
00:16while they two weeks ago
00:18voted to increase the deficit
00:19by $4 trillion.

00:24Spare us these lectures.
00:26For years, Republicans
00:28have lectured us and the country
00:29about so-called fiscal responsibility,
00:32the deficit, the debt,
00:33and then they have the audacity
00:35to increase the deficit
00:38by $4 trillion to pay for tax cuts
00:40for the 800 billionaires
00:42that my Republican colleague from Pennsylvania
00:44is so carefully tracking.
00:47It's shameful.
00:48This bill,
00:50make no mistake, Mr. Speaker,
00:52is a war on rural America.
00:54They are closing rural hospitals
00:55by virtue of the bill they passed 15 days ago,
00:58and now they will close rural radio stations
01:00in the chairwoman's district
01:02in North Carolina,
01:04in my state, in Colorado,
01:06the western part of my state
01:07that I have the privilege of representing.
01:09Rural radio stations across the country
01:10that help constituents
01:11during wildfires and during floods.
01:13The gentleman's time has expired.
01:14It should be rejected, Mr. Speaker.
