Teacher killed in collision with lorry in Maran

A teacher was killed in a collision with a lorry along Jalan Besar Jengka 20, Maran on Saturday (July 12) morning.  The victim, Nurfarah Izyan Ismail, 28, who taught at Sekolah Menengah Agama Al-Basriah in Jerantut, died at the scene of the crash. 00:16Police believe the victim lost control of her vehicle and veered into the opposite lane

00:21before colliding with an oncoming lorry carrying four individuals.

00:25The 51-year-old lorry driver sustained a fractured thigh, two assistants aged 25 and 43 had minor

00:32injuries, while a 53-year-old assistant was unhurt.

00:36The case is being investigated under section 41, subsection 1 of the Road Transport Act 1987

00:43for causing death by reckless or dangerous driving.
