00:00If you fell into a black hole, what would you actually feel?
00:03So you start to feel this strange sensation of being stretched and squashed.
00:08That's because the distortion in space-time is not constant over the length of your body.
00:14So you start to change shape. The real name for this is spaghettification.
00:18And as you go closer and closer to the singularity, those effects become much more extreme.
00:22They're so extreme that you cease to stay together.
00:25The atoms inside of you separate, and the quarks inside, the protons inside the atoms,
00:29And ultimately, everything is gone. Everything's been ripped apart.
00:33And everything ripped apart that used to be you is still rushing inward toward the singularity.
