Bathinda(Punjab), July 11, 2025(ANI): A distributary to the Bathinda canal was breached last night. Water entered 200-250 houses in the Sai Nagar area of Bathinda. The water level is 2-3 feet. Some areas are inaccessible. A temporary road has been built. The flow of the water was high due to the rain. The situation is under control. The water level has also been reduced to one foot. Pumps have been installed to remove the water. The administration has arranged food and water for the affected people. Compensation will be provided after assessing the situation, said Bathinda’s DC, Showkat Ahmad Parray.
