Bhubaneswar (Odisha), July 04, 2025 (ANI): Odisha Water Resource Dept Engineer -in-Chief Chandra Sekhar Padhi on July 04 informed that there is no flood situation in the state. “There is no flood situation in the state. Everywhere, the rivers are flowing below the danger level, so there is absolutely no issue at present... To be very specific, the Mahanadi is flowing 4 meters below the danger level; the Brahmani is 3.75 meters below; the Baitarani is 1.16 meters below; the Budhabalanga is 6.13 meters below sea level; and the Subarnarekha is flowing 2.6 meters below the danger level…,” said Chandra Sekhar Padhi. For today, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for heavy rainfall in the districts of Sundergarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, and Baragarh.
