Along with the mountains, the flood crisis continues in the plains as well. After the release of 3 lakh cusecs of water from the Balmiki barrage, Bihar's Gopalganj area is again flooded. Many villages of Gorakhpur in UP are also facing the wrath of floods. In Patna, the waterlevel of river Ganga has again started peaking the danger mark. More than three lakh cusecs of water has been released from Valmiki Nagar barrage. The effect of which is now being seen in Gopalganj. The water of the Gandak river has spread to the surrounding areas. Farms, villages and schools have all been submerged in rainwater.
