Malacañang downplays COA's 'unmodified opinion' on OVP funds
Malacañang says that the 'unmodified opinion' the Office of the Vice President (OVP) received from the Commission on Audit (COA) does not necessarily mean that there are no anomalies in the use of the agency's budget. Palace Press Officer Claire Castro told a briefing on July 11, 2025 that COA’s unmodified opinion did not refer to the state auditors’ compliance and performance audits of the OVP.

00:10Pag sinabi po kasing unmodified opinion, it pertains only to the financial statement presentation.
00:41Ako sinasabing may continuing commitment ang OBT dandito sa unmodified opinion for transparency, accountability, judicious use of funds, as well as compliance with principles of good governance.
