00:00Elsewhere, as we go to Kansas City, the Royals taking on the Pirates yesterday.
00:05A 4-3 win for KC as Salvador Perez, the veteran, remains hot DRS.
00:12A solo shot in the home half of the eighth.
00:15That turned out to be the game winner for KC at Kauffman.
00:19The Royals have now won four straight games.
00:22Yeah, Royals looking back up here, getting closer to .500,
00:25which again, you want to make that surge before you take a look at the All-Star break
00:28and then the trade deadline to show your organization that you have a legitimate chance to get the wild card
00:32and they'll make changes in favor of your clubhouse, not take away players from your clubhouse
00:37if they don't think they can make a run.
00:38But also yesterday, I thought the Kansas City Royals had the pitching advantage.
00:41I actually like the run line here basically for the Kansas City Royals.
00:44Started out great, 3-0, but a three spot there in the top of the sixth inning.
00:48Basically doomed that one run in the bottom of the eighth, a 4-3 final.
00:51The Royals get the win, they'll take that.
00:52But the Pirates again, I don't know, we popping bottles at this score, three runs and another loss.
00:57Congratulations.
00:5814 years in the bigs, all in Kansas City for Salve.
01:02Of course, he is a legend.
01:04Two homers yesterday, just turned 35 in May.
01:07How about from the veteran to the rookie, Jackie Cags, Jack Caglione, a two-run shot,
01:12second consecutive game with a home run, but batting just 158 in his start in Major League Baseball.
01:20DRS, some updated win totals around MLB.
01:23The Marlins, 69 and a half.
01:25The Reds, 80 and a half.
01:27The Pirates, 66 and a half.
01:30Again, I need my Reds, who I had over 79 and a half, so we like that up to 80 and a hook to get to 80.
01:37They are 47 and 46, now a game above 500.
01:41The Pirates swept in KC, second consecutive sweep.
01:45The Pittsburgh Pirates has suffered in their last two.
01:47They were swept over the weekend in Seattle by the Mariners.
01:50They're 38 and 56.
01:52The Marlins won eight straight games.
01:54That win streak came to a close last week, their first in nearly two decades, winning eight straight.
02:00We just talked about the 11-game road-winning streak for Miami.
02:03They came to a close yesterday in Cincinnati.
02:06Miami playing better baseball, 42 and 49 with a win total still sub-70.
02:11Not the craziest bet to make if you want to back the fish.
02:16No, I probably would look at all three of those teams and say, you know what?
02:18I would take all three to the over, and I think I would go two and one.
02:21Because the Marlins, I mean, technically they're in sell mode, but who are they selling?
02:24Alcantara at this point?
02:25Yeah.
02:25I don't think they're going to sell any of their young players, because that's the core that you want to keep around.
02:29You're cheap.
02:29You can handle them.
02:30They'll get their arbitration years.
02:31And then you take a look at the Pittsburgh Pirates, who are running that, like, right down the middle.
02:35Because they want to act like they're a big league ball club, but they're not.
02:38So how would it look?
02:39They're not going to trade Paul Skeens.
02:40I don't think that's going to happen.
02:41They're probably like, you know, we'll run them in the ground five years, then trade them.
02:43And we got the best years of them.
02:45We didn't win anything.
02:46But, like, that lineup, I just, I think they're going to keep their players around.
02:49And the Reds, they have a young, talented team.
02:51I don't think they're making trades at the deadline.
02:53So those teams will still be the best, let's just say, their best foot forward in the month of September,
02:57as opposed to be absolutely in tank mode.
02:59I probably think you would get two of the three overs there in what's remaining on their schedules.
03:04I don't think it's a bad idea, DRS.
03:06Your Phillies yesterday booked as a road favorite in San Francisco, trying to avoid a sweep in some day baseball action against the Giants.
03:15They did that.
03:15And then some 13-zip, the win for the Phillies yesterday.
03:20Kyle Schwarber, a three-run shot.
03:22Frankly, DRS, this game was out of hand because of a great outing from Jesus Lozardo.
03:27So that's a huge thing to see, who got off to a great start this year in Philadelphia and then was atrocious the last month.
03:33Plus, you had seven runs scored by the Phillies in the eighth.
03:37They avoid the sweep.
03:39They win 13-zip.
03:40And DRS, for a team that has struggled offensively this week, a good sign for the Titans.
03:45Now, the best sign in that game, yes, Schwarber hit his 29th home run, which is having another very good year.
03:49But Bryce Harper, four hits, all four extra bases, including one home run, which is pretty incredible.
03:54If he's back, the Phillies are back.
