00:00Mia, how are you? How it's going the Giro so far?
00:03Yeah, so far so good anyway. I got through the mountain day yesterday with a bit of struggle because I crashed the day before and was carrying a bit of an injury to my leg.
00:13But it's feeling better and better every day, so I'm happy.
00:18Looking about today, you could be one of that girl that gave us a sprint. What do you think about? Are you ready for it?
00:24Yeah, I'm really ready for today. I think coming into the Giro, my focus was on this day, so it's the day that I care about the most, so I really will put everything into today.
00:35How important is for you to wear your national team shirt?
00:39It's really important to wear my national team shirt and it's the first time in many years that there's an Irish girl in the Giro,
00:46so to wear my national champion shirt is really nice to represent my nation in this really nice race.
00:53Thank you, good luck for today.
00:55Thank you very much.
00:56Judy, how are you? How is going the Giro so far?
00:58Yeah, I'm good, thank you. We've lost two riders yesterday, so it could be better, but I think we're not going to let it affect anything and we're just going to keep on fighting.
01:11Talking about that, how are you trying to fix that two important loss?
01:16I think just using the girls a little bit differently, because we're two riders down, so it can be a bit of a big loss, but I think we can manage it really well.
01:31We have seen you in Toronto in the second place right behind Lorena V. Bessi, so first of all, what have been the emotions and could we expect something similar today from you?
01:42Not from me today, because our sprinter Megan, she was meant to sprint that day, but almost our entire train got taken down in that crash, so that was really rubbish, but I was there at the end, so I could do that.
02:01And what about the weather today? It will be sun, hotter, how will you manage that?
02:06Well, we do heat training, obviously, coming into the Giro, it's renownedly hot here, so I think we're very prepared for that.
02:15Thank you so much.
02:17Laura, after yesterday, we are sure you have the best fan club of the Giro.
02:22Yeah, they were amazing. For me it was a surprise. They were saying to me, like, yeah, we will be there and everything, but I will never expect something like that. It was amazing, super special.
02:34So seeing your people, your parents cheering for you, being there for you, does give you the energy you need to face this second part of the Giro that we know will be tough?
02:43Yeah, for sure. I was crying passing there. It was amazing, mind-blowing, really. I was always saying thank you, thank you to everybody, nothing more to say, and they gave me a boost of energy for the rest stages of the Giro.
03:00Looking at today's stage, everyone expects a sprint, so could you be the girl that maybe give us the sprint we need, that we are waiting for?
03:07Yeah, looking at the route, and yeah, I think we will be a sprint, we will be a sprint, and yeah, we will try to do our best, for sure.
03:18How are you? How are the legs? Are you ready for today?
03:21Yeah, we are ready, a bit tired of from yesterday, but I think like everybody, it's fifth stage of Giro, so yeah, we will be ready.
03:28Thank you so much, good luck.
03:30Tina, how are you? How is going the Giro so far?
03:33I'm really good, I'm really happy to be here, it's my first Giro, it's really exciting. Yeah, of course I had some bad days already and some better days, but no, I'm really happy and the team is doing well, so all good.
03:47In Trento, you have taken an advantage after the crash, so could it maybe be possible to see you as one of the main protagonists today?
03:55I don't know, for sure we will try something again, because we are, we have nothing to lose on a day like this, so we have to try something, but yeah, in Trento it was a situation, I actually don't like to do something when somebody crashes, but then the screen on the radio I should go and yeah, yes.
04:16Looking at today, the weather will be different, sunny, more hot, what do you think about that?
04:22Yeah, cooling will be important today, of course, we will focus on that too, but it's still okay so far, I think compared to last year's Giro it was much hotter, so yeah, we were prepared.
04:33Thank you, good luck for today.
04:35Hi Lorena, how are you? Are you ready for today?
04:37Yeah, I think so, yesterday was a long day in the breakaway, so I hope the legs are a bit recovered and yeah, we try again today.
04:46Yeah, we have seen you yesterday in the breakaway, then giving support to Anna, how are the energy and how it went yesterday?
04:53Yeah, actually quite good, it was not really the plan to go in the breakaway, but I ended up in it and it was fine, it was more calm than being in a bunch on some descents, so actually it was good to be there.
05:06Yeah.
05:07Another sprint we are waiting for today, could you be the girl again?
05:11Yeah, I hope, yeah, we fully go for it and we see how the legs are during the race and then yeah, it's a tricky final again, so yeah, we have to be good positions for it.
05:22Good luck for today, thank you.
05:24Brody, how are you, how is going the Giro so far?
05:27It's going really well, we've moved up on GC every day and I love the Giro, I love being in Italy and it's extra extra special when I have
05:35so many Italian teammates so I'm really enjoying it and yeah, the parkours are hard.
05:42Looking at today, what would be the team plan looking at the GC, looking at Elisa time?
05:48Today, the goal is certainly for us to stay safe. We know that it's the day really for the sprinters and there's some teams with incredible sprinters here so for us we want to ride together and try and save Elisa's energy for the next three days.
06:03We clearly remember at UAE Tour how Elisa taking an advantage from the wind, your strategy to face the strong winds, do you think in case of wind today maybe we could be the same?
06:15I would absolutely love if there was wind today because we definitely enjoy some cross winds but so far it's looking pretty quiet and you know the peloton here is incredibly strong so it might be difficult but if there's a sniff of wind I'm sure we would love to take advantage of it but it doesn't look like it's happening today.
06:33Thank you so much. Good luck.
06:35Chiara, how are you today? How is going the Giro so far?
06:39Yeah, hard. After yesterday's stage I think all the bunch are quite tired but yeah, today I hope that we arrive in a sprint and yeah, it's my turn and I hope to do something great.
06:55After the crash you were involved in Trento, everyone expect your sprint, do you feel the pressure?
07:01Yeah, a bit, you know, we are in Italy, we are in Giro, it's always the best feeling for me, for an Italian rider and yeah, but I think all the team help and support me so we are ready to fight.
07:14And what about the climate, do you like this sun, this hot?
07:18You know, it's always hard to climb for me. Today's stage is quite not so, I mean, not so hard but you know, in Giro everything can happen so we must and we need to stay super focused from the first K and then until the circuit we really stay in front and try to do my best sprint.
07:44Good luck for today, thank you.
07:46Grazie mille.
07:48Grazie mille.
