00:00Liane, congratulations. How do you feel?
00:02Thank you. Yeah, I'm super happy. I had a super good day today.
00:07And yeah, the team was on fire and everyone believed really today in me.
00:12Like from the car, they did a super job, but also the girls on the road, everyone.
00:16Anyway, it's a long process and I'm super happy to finally have a win, the first one of the season.
00:22Last year, you won a stage six at the Giro. This year, you win a stage six at the Giro.
00:28I mean, a six could be your favorite number.
00:30Yes, definitely. Before it was always number two because I won in the Tour de France stage two.
00:35But in the Giro, six is my lucky number. So yeah, it was similar than last year.
00:40And I had the feeling that today will be my day and I went for it.
00:45So this was in your mind when you decided to attack alone?
00:48Yeah, I already knew it because I came to this Giro with actually not feeling super good.
00:55But I felt better day by day and also thanks to my team because they mentally built me up again.
01:00I was a bit on a low after the second stage, but now I'm just feeling super myself again.
01:07And also the people around make a big difference how good you ride on the bike actually.
01:13Today, you will face the hardest stage of the Giro. So how you prepare it?
01:18And I think the main goal will be to preserve the Maglia Rosa of Marlene. So how you as a team will face it?
01:25Exactly. So it was always the priority to be for the Maglia Rosa. That's why I'm really happy for the chance of the team.
01:32That I have the freedom to also go for myself. But yeah, for sure tomorrow I will try to do the same that I did on the other mountain top finish.
01:42And I think full for Marlene and then in the last stage we will see what's the situation if we can try something again or go fully for the Maglia Rosa.
01:51Thank you so much. Thank you. Another day in pink. How it went today?
01:56Yeah, very nice. We won the stage and we are in pink. So I think nothing could have gone better.
02:03For me, it was especially exciting because my radio stopped working after half the race.
02:08So I was not really informed or like not knowing what's going on. I knew Liana is ahead, but I didn't know how much and stuff.
02:15So it's so cool. She won like it's it's a big thing like so happy, really, really happy.
02:22I've seen an attack at nine kilometers from Elisa Longo Borghini. Do you think this could have been a message saying like,
02:30Girl, I'm here and I want the jersey you're wearing?
02:33Yeah, of course. I think so. I also knew that she has to try it there. It was the steepest bit and it suits her.
02:40So I was ready and I think I can come to it. So, yeah, it went well.
02:46And but she's strong and I think it's good that she's fighting for it. Yes.
02:51Looking at tomorrow's stage, you will face the hardest climb of the Giro in the hardest stage of the Giro.
02:57So what do you think about?
02:59Yes, it's it's the Queen stage, I think you say. And yeah, very excited to see how it goes and who is racing how.
03:09And I think it's an exciting day to watch. Yes.
03:12Thank you so much. Thank you. Tomorrow.
03:14Thank you. Today you have been on hot stage, not only for the temperatures, but also for the race.
03:19What do you think about it?
03:20Yeah, it was a really hard stage. Like we were just like climbing, descending, climbing, descending.
03:25Yeah. So it was quite hard. There were a lot of attacks, but I think we did quite well.
03:29The GC is almost the same. We have seen a little big difference between some of you.
03:36But I mean, tomorrow will be the day in which will be decided position.
03:41Yeah, yeah, definitely. Tomorrow's I think that you see day like it's the Queen stage.
03:45It's the hardest stage. And I think that GC can be completely different after the stage tomorrow.
03:50What do you expect from tomorrow, especially from the last climb?
03:53We know is the hardest of the Giro.
03:55I think it would be a super hard race from the beginning, but for sure the final climb will be like, I think, yeah, the part of the race where the decision is.
04:04So I expect a quite hard race and I'm looking forward for the last climb.
04:09Thank you so much and good luck for today.
04:12Congratulations. You're still in red. I mean, this is not your goal, but this is this shirt you're wearing.
04:17Yeah. Yeah. At the end, I think I took some points with the intermediate sprint.
04:21So I tried to keep it as long as possible, but I still need to survive tomorrow.
04:29Today has been a hot race. How it went?
04:32Yeah, actually quite a day. I didn't get the best legs, but I tried to survive as long as possible.
04:38But one of the clients was it was too hard. And then I went easy to the finish.
04:45Looking at tomorrow's stage, the Queen stage of the Giro, you'll face at the hardest climb.
04:50So as a team, maybe what could be your plan?
04:54Yeah, that's a good question. It will be a really tough day.
04:59And maybe for me it will be good to be in the breakaway, but I don't know if it's possible to have a breakaway.
05:07A question about Lotte. We know of the retirement for a discomfort in the lower back. How is she?
05:13Yeah, she's okay. She went home to take the full recovery. And yeah, I mean, we still believe in her towards the Tour in France and we go for it.
05:24Okay. Thank you so much. Thank you.
05:27Sarah, congratulations for keeping the Maglia Azzurra. Now the duel for the jersey is between you and Uzo Ostolasa.
05:33Yeah, it's pretty close. She had a really strong race today and closed in a lot of points, but hopefully we can keep it.
05:41Looking at today's stage, it has been a hot stage, not only for the temperature. How it went?
05:47Yeah, it was a really fun race, actually. Yeah, the whole race was aggressive. There was always something happening.
05:53And yeah, my team rode really well together. Unfortunately, our young climber, Laura Deschepa, was involved in a crash,
06:00so she lost her position on the GC. So that was the one downside. But apart from that, everyone rode so well together.
06:06And yeah, I'm really grateful to my teammates for their support.
06:10Looking at today's stage, you'll face the Queen stage with the hardest climb of the Giro.
06:15Are you ready for it? How do you think you will face it?
06:18Oh yeah, I think the harder the climb, the better. So I've been looking forward to Stage 7 for a while.
06:23So good luck for tomorrow and thank you. Thank you so much.
