00:00Yeah, on other positions in terms of an out-and-out winger,
00:04obviously Mateus Tell's joined.
00:06Whether he's going to play out wide is obviously still to be determined.
00:10But Mohamed Koudas is a player who is very exciting at West Ham.
00:14He maybe fell away from the page a little bit over last season
00:17and couldn't quite find his feet underground.
00:19Potter, when he came in, obviously, with the managerial changes as well,
00:22with Lopetegui's tenure not going too well at West Ham.
00:27I mean, it's great to be linked to him.
00:29And hopefully, you know, is this a deal that Spurs fans are really hoping
00:33they can get over the line?
00:34Because, you know, that first season, his first season in England,
00:37he was one of the best players in the league by, you know, by a long way as well.
00:42Yeah, he was.
00:43And he's a real emerging talent again.
00:45I mean, I think you'd probably call him a typical Spurs player
00:48and a typical Spurs signing at the moment, showing bags of potential,
00:51but does lack inconsistency, like you say there.
00:54First season, extremely strong, really good numbers.
00:56Spurs' second season, not so good, albeit West Ham obviously struggled last season.
01:01But, you know, you could argue that Spurs struggled last season
01:03and we still managed to get a number of players into the double figures
01:07in terms of goals and assists.
01:08So I think the problem for Koudis at West Ham has been he wants to play off the right
01:12and obviously Jared Bowen is the, you know, sort of the captain,
01:14he's the leader of that team and, you know, he's not going anywhere.
01:17So he's first pick on the right-hand side.
01:19And when you look at his numbers overall, Koudis, they're pretty average.
01:23But then when you look at the games he has played off the right,
01:27they've been quite impressive.
01:28So I think that's what Spurs are looking for.
01:31They like the idea of a player who can play across the front three.
01:34You know, he can play in the ten, he can play off the left,
01:36but I think ideally he wants to play off the right.
01:39All the noises are that he wants Spurs.
01:41He's not interested in anybody else.
01:43I think there was a little bit of rumour earlier that Bayern Munich might be in for him.
01:46He's not interested in that.
01:47Saudi Arabia as well.
01:48He's got an £85 million release clause, which is valid until the middle of the month.
01:53Now Spurs are certainly not going to pay that.
01:55And I think they're sort of leaning on West Ham and their financial difficulties.
01:59There's talk they might have to pay back certain loans
02:02and they need to do some business to comply with PSR.
02:05So it's a little bit of a Mexican standoff, I think, at the moment.
02:08Spurs hanging on the price, as we always do, which is highly frustrating.
02:11As Spurs fans, you just think, just get the money down and let's get him in.
02:15You know, pre-season's already started and we're already behind the eight ball.
02:17So that is a frustration.
02:20But then I suppose you've got the sort of added caveat with West Ham
02:23that Spurs and West Ham don't like each other.
02:26Going back to the days of the Olympic Stadium debacle
02:29and the last player, I think, to be traded between Spurs and West Ham
02:34was Scott Parker back in the Harry Redknapp era.
02:36So we don't deal with West Ham often.
02:39I think West Ham would ideally like a bidding war to come in.
02:42There's been a little bit of talk of Chelsea coming in
02:44should Madweki go to Arsenal.
02:45But all the noises are that Spurs, he wants Spurs.
02:49He'd be a very, very good addition to Spurs' squad.
02:51We just need to get the money out and get it over the line.
02:54So I'm hoping that gets done.
02:56I think it'd be a real signal of intent.
02:57And we're backing Thomas Frank there,
02:59which would be a really good barometer going forward.
03:02But, you know, as always with Spurs,
03:04until you see the here we go from Fabrizio Romano
03:08or you see the official video coming out on the Spurs website,
03:11it's never done till it's done.
03:12So I'd say it's in the balance,
03:14but hopefully the balance will tip towards Spurs
03:16and we'll get that one done.
