00:00Tottenham Hotspur are entering a new era with the arrival of Thomas Frank,
00:06a bold appointment that has sparked real excitement in North London.
00:11After lifting the Europa League trophy last season,
00:14Spurs are looking to build momentum under a manager,
00:17known for his tactical clarity, player development and calm authority.
00:22There's a clear sense of opportunity in North London,
00:25but also an understating that the summer will be crucial.
00:30Frank is expected to implement his style quickly,
00:33blending high-energy football with smart structural changes.
00:37Recruitment will be key, but so too will be maintaining the unity and drive
00:41that define the club's European triumph.
00:44We spoke with James Trembath of London World to hear his thoughts on Tottenham's summer priorities
00:50and how Frank's approach could elevate a squad full of promise
00:54with the right backing.
00:56Spurs fans have every reason to believe this could be the start of something special.
01:01Yeah, just on the transfer market, obviously, you're looking at season players
01:06and another season in Europe, maybe hopefully less injuries for Spurs
01:10because of not playing that high-octane Antipas de Coglu ball.
01:14I mean, where do they go in the transfer market?
01:17It's so important to get this right.
01:19As you say, likely they're going to back him,
01:20but on the other hand, how do you compete with the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City?
01:25We're going to spend hundreds of millions again.
01:28I mean, it makes it so hard to sort of find these correct signings who can take you forward.
01:34I mean, Mbwema would be a great deal, but the pull Manchester United have is just incredible
01:38with the likes of them signing Mateus Cunha as well
01:40and having an awful season themselves as well.
01:43Yeah, I mean, it's going to be tough and, you know, we don't compete on a level playing field.
01:49We know that Spurs don't have the cash that some of our rivals do,
01:52but then we need to be smart and savvy in the recruitment and that's what it's all about.
01:56You know, you've seen the likes of Brighton do it very, very well,
01:58very effectively without breaking the bank.
02:01And two of Spurs' best signings recently have been Kulishevski and Bensinker
02:04that we picked up for less than £20 million apiece.
02:07So there are players out there that can make a difference.
02:10A lot of it's going to depend on what we do with the likes of Hummin Son.
02:14You know, he's been linked away perhaps to Saudi Arabia, perhaps to the MLS.
02:18Is it time for Son now?
02:19He's got that trophy and he's got that legend status at Spurs to let him go.
02:24Christian Romero's another one.
02:25He's been very vocal about the board recently around, you know,
02:29the sort of departure of Vance Postacoglu.
02:31So it's going to depend a lot on outgoings, I think.
02:34But, you know, we need to do everything we can to keep Romero.
02:38He's a class act on his day, albeit he doesn't always show it in a Spurs shirt
02:41and he is a little bit frustrating, but he's a big game player
02:44and, you know, we saw that in the Europa League final.
02:47But, you know, there's deals to be had.
02:48I think you look at maybe Jared Braithwaite from Everton.
02:51You know, is there something in that with Richarlison going back the other way?
02:54You know, he'd be a very, very good signing.
02:57Every summer at Spurs talk about Eze
02:59and he obviously shares a close link with Spurs with his CAA base agency
03:03and obviously that's very, very closely matched to Spurs.
03:06It's a tough deal to do, but that would be a statement signing.
03:08You know, Spurs could do with a Madison Kulicewski sort of foil
03:12with both of those guys injured and unknown in terms of return dates.
03:16As you say, Buomo would be a very, very good deal.
03:19And, you know, within Spurs' price bracket,
03:21I appreciate his, you know, Manchester United and the low there,
03:24but Spurs can offer him Champions League football
03:25and the link now with returning and rejoining Thomas Frank.
03:29So, yeah, I think there's definitely deals to be had.
03:32We need to be smart. We need to be savvy.
03:34I know we looked at, we're linked with Leroy Sané, for example,
03:37on the free transfer market.
03:38He's gone to Turkey now.
03:41But we do need some winners in that team now.
03:43We need some, you know, I say winners, we are winners now, obviously,
03:46but we need some more experienced heads in there
03:49who've got a little bit more Champions League now about them
03:51and can just help us through in those tough periods.
03:54So hopefully we're in for a really exciting summer
03:56and let's just hope Daniel Levy gets his chequebook out
03:59and spends and backs Thomas Frank in the market methods.
04:02And, you know, that's a really, really good sign, in my opinion,
04:04that we're ready to back him and he's got what he wants.
04:07And obviously we've paid a huge release clause for him,
04:09around about £10 million.
04:10So, you know, we've certainly stumped up the money.
04:12So that hopefully shows, you know,
04:14just how highly regarded he is among Spurs.
04:17And, you know, I think the fact that he was the only target,
04:19again, tells you everything that we need to know there.
04:21So, yeah, really excited.
04:22He's worked within the model and the structure,
04:24gets on very well with Johan Langer,
04:26who's the director of football.
04:28And I think the big thing is, as well,
04:30he's just adaptable.
04:31You know, he does play good football.
04:33There's been a little bit of negativity
04:34around the football that he's played,
04:36but he adapts depending on the situation and the opposition.
04:38And I think that's something that we haven't done
04:40under Anish Postakoglu,
04:41and that's been very, very costly.
