00:00I mean, Jacob Mizorowski, what's left to say here at this point?

00:02I was extremely dubious, you know, back in the month of June when they called this guy up.

00:07I was like, you know, nobody wins Rookie of the Year getting called up in June.

00:11That's just not possible.

00:12But, I mean, my guy is Augustin Ramirez, okay?

00:15So let me make it clear.

00:16I want him to win the Rookie of the Year covering the Marlins like I do.

00:18But this guy is, you know, certainly putting on a show for everyone.

00:21It's hard to ignore.

00:24Yeah, there's been a lot of fun rookies just the past two seasons

00:27that have kind of come up maybe a little bit later than expected

00:30that have performed really, really darn well.

00:32And Mizorowski, to your point, is definitely one of them.

00:35He's got that kind of sidewinder, almost Chris Sale-esque motion from the right side.

00:39He's got a lot of ways he can beat you.

00:41And as he kind of showed, after a leadoff home run to Otani,

00:45he locked in and didn't give up a single other run

00:47and was pretty dominant across the board against one of the best offenses in baseball.

00:51Yeah, he definitely was.

00:53And I think the Dodgers have now lost five straight games,

00:56which is the first five-game losing streak they've had this season.

00:59But, you know, Rob, this happens generally to every team in baseball.

01:02The Dodgers, you know, certainly could still win 100 games very easily,

01:05but they're going to have a losing streak like everybody else.

01:09Yeah, you know, 162 regular season games and then playoffs on top of that.

01:13There's a lot of room for, you know, mess-ups along the way.

01:17And certainly the Mets, the Yankees, the Dodgers,

01:19just in the past couple weeks here have all experienced that losing skid.

01:24And, yeah, it's just the Dodgers' turn on that cycle right now.

01:27Out West, beating up on each other.

01:29That's the Diamondbacks and Padres.

01:31Really close game last night.

01:32San Diego wins one to nothing as Luis Arise's home run was the difference there.

01:36They got good pitching to go with it.

01:39Now, the nationally standings here, Rob, let's take a look at them out West.

01:44I mean, these two teams, Arizona and San Diego,

01:46they're just going to keep fighting with each other.

01:48But when it comes down to the end, as you see the Dodgers, the Giants,

01:53and the Padres, all basically within a handful of games of each other,

01:57I would imagine at the end of the season, Rob,

01:59the Dodgers win the division and they're heavy favorites to do so.

02:02But these Giants and Padres seem to be flipping back and forth.

02:05And Arizona's had some key injuries, but they're hanging in.

02:10Yeah, and for the Giants, it's going to be a matter of,

02:13hey, can we acquire more bats?

02:14Which is kind of crazy to say.

02:15They acquired Devers.

02:16That's a pretty elite bat to acquire midseason.

02:19But the offense is still where it's at.

02:21It's not in a good place.

02:23And so right now, you can't really be, I say,

02:26reliant on the bullpen or just kind of that average league average starting pitching

02:30for the entirety of 162.

02:33You're going to have to make some moves and get some run support.

02:35And this has kind of been the Mariners issue, I guess,

02:39for the past three or four years as well, where the pitching is there,

02:42the bats aren't, and it ends up killing them eventually.

02:44And for that reason, I do think the Padres and the Dodgers are going to be the one-two

02:48hierarchy here, unless we see some pretty aggressive moves near the deadline.
