New dad and Britain’s Got Talent star Tom Ball tops the charts

West Sussex-based Britain’s Got Talent star Tom Ball is celebrating the huge and instant success of his latest single.

00:20Oh, absolutely. Enjoy every single win, every single moment. It's been a mad rollercoaster

00:25and I'm so proud of the song, the team. It's been amazing.

00:31But trying to step back for a moment, what makes the song special, do you think? Why

00:34has it had this impact?

00:36It's a beautiful, forgive the pun, timeless love story. And for me, it has such a connection

00:44to my baby girl, the birth of my child, Adeline.

00:50Becoming a father this year.

00:52Yeah. Well, yeah, literally five and a half months ago, she was born. And at that moment,

00:58my life changed. And Timeless, I think, sums up that newfound love that will forever be

01:05there.

01:05I'm going to make you state the obvious. You said life changed. How has it changed, becoming

01:09a dad?

01:11New meanings. The songs that I sing, the writing that I do for songwriting, it's completely

01:17shifted. I think you find a new appreciation for life and love. She's the first thing I

01:27think of when I wake up every single morning.

01:29Well, so she should be. Of course, she should be.

01:31Absolutely.

01:32But do you think of your career differently? It's different perspectives. Different things

01:37matter, different values.

01:38Yeah, absolutely. I think you, I want to be a lot more present when I'm at home, that

01:44I leave work at the door. And I'm with Adeline and my wife, Hannah, who massive, massive shout

01:51out and love for her because she lets me continue to gallivant around the world while she expertly

01:59raises Adeline.

02:00Oh, and you've had the spring tour. You've got the autumn tour, the autumn half of the

02:05tour coming up, but all leading up to album number two. That's exciting on the horizon,

02:09isn't it?

02:10Album number two. Looking forward to it. It's sounding incredible so far. I'm really proud

02:13of it. Just like my first one, Curtain Call, I'm really looking forward to people hearing

02:19the new music.

02:21And you've got the title already for the album, haven't you?

02:23Oh yeah, it's Spotlight, which I love. Curtain Call, Spotlight. I'm already thinking about

02:29third album. What are we going to call this one?
