00:00To start, tell us a little bit about yourself.
00:06Give us your name, where you're from, and what you do.
00:10My name is Vince. I'm 34 years old.
00:12I was born and raised in Los Angeles, and I'm currently unemployed.
00:17What's your reaction to getting to play Big Brother?
00:22I am so excited. It hasn't hit me. It doesn't feel real yet.
00:26I am a massive fan of Big Brother.
00:29I've been watching since season 16, and I started watching the live feeds in season 18,
00:34and this all just doesn't feel real yet.
00:37I'm trying to keep my feet on planet Earth.
00:40I'm trying to keep my head out of the clouds, and I'm trying to take it in
00:44and just absorb all of this as much as I can until it hits me that it's real.
00:52It feels surreal being a houseguess on Big Brother this season.
00:57Again, it hasn't really hit me yet.
01:00I know that no matter what strategy you have coming into this,
01:04it could go out the window immediately, so it just is excitement, anxiousness.
01:11I've just sweat through my deodorant thinking about it.
01:15I am just ready to go. I'm eager.
01:18I've been waiting a very long time for this opportunity.
01:20I think my strategy coming into the Big Brother house is to compartmentalize this game
01:30down into weekly mini-games of Big Brother.
01:34I want to view every single individual week as its own mini-game of Big Brother,
01:39and all I need to do for those weeks is survive it one at a time
01:44and slowly take one step at a time.
01:47You can't say you're going to win the World Series
01:48without winning enough games to get to the playoffs,
01:51so I have to win the individual days, individual conversations, weeks,
01:55whatever that may be, take it one week at a time,
01:58and adapt, and wing it, and then adapt, wing it, adapt.
02:03It's the wah-wah technique.
02:04You just wing, adapt, wing, adapt.
02:06That's what I've got to do.
02:08Why will you win Big Brother?
02:11I will be the one to win Big Brother
02:13because I think I naturally have the perfect formula of what it takes.
02:19I like to call myself a master of none.
02:22I'm not really the best at anything,
02:24but I'm pretty dang good at almost everything,
02:27so I don't think I'll be...
02:28I mean, I clearly won't be a physical threat.
02:31I think I'll be social enough to be able to make the genuine connections.
02:35That is the foundation of strategizing.
02:39And I think I'm athletic enough to compete with the best of them when I need to.
02:43And I think if you can do all of those cohesively,
02:45you'll be in good shape.
02:48What are your biggest strengths?
02:50I would say my strengths are having empathy,
02:55which is important in the Big Brother house.
02:58My communication skills.
03:00I think my self-awareness.
03:02I like to think I'm self-aware,
03:03which is a surprising amount of people...
03:07Something that a surprising amount of people don't have
03:09as much as they should, I'll say.
03:11And again, also in the Big Brother house,
03:14self-awareness is huge
03:15because you don't want to be too obviously obnoxious
03:18or rubbing people the wrong way,
03:20especially early on.
03:21The first impressions are huge.
03:23So yeah, I think empathetic.
03:26I'm very competitive.
03:28I'm very, very much a one-track mind person.
03:31If I set my mind to something,
03:32I'm going to go at it 120%.
03:35And yeah, hopefully all of those
03:38make for a pretty successful season.
03:42We'll see.
03:43What are your biggest weaknesses?
03:46I know I said one of my strengths was my self-awareness.
03:48So I'm going to do my best,
03:49but a weakness could be if I get too excited,
03:52if I get too riled up,
03:53maybe I might say the wrong thing.
03:55I'm going to try not to.
03:56I'm going to try to be mindful of that self-awareness.
03:59And my competitiveness.
04:00I don't want to, I'm not a poor sport,
04:02but I don't want to get too riled up
04:04if I'm not doing as well as I expect myself to do.
04:09Do you plan on keeping any secrets about yourself
04:12from the other house guests?
04:14I don't know if there's any secrets
04:16because here's the thing.
04:17I don't want to have any lie
04:22where I have to hold onto it
04:24for an entire three-month period
04:27because I don't know if I'm going to forget.
04:29Like, I don't want to lie about my age.
04:31Even though I look maybe a little younger than I am,
04:33I don't want to say I'm younger
04:34because then maybe we're talking about
04:36my high school graduation year
04:37and I say, oh, nine.
04:39And people are like, that doesn't make sense.
04:40That's pointless.
04:41I've thought about, should I not say I'm unemployed?
04:43Because they'll say, that's weird.
04:44Why would a 34-year-old not be employed?
04:46Maybe he's a trust fund kid
04:48or maybe he's a, I don't know,
04:51already successful or something
04:53or he's lying about, I don't know.
04:54I've overthought anything.
04:56There's not going to be any secrets that I'm going to keep.
04:58How will you crush your enemies?
05:01I will crush my enemies before they crush me
05:05by having the self-awareness of reading people.
05:09I really think I am good at reading people.
05:11And I know a lot of people probably say that
05:13coming into the Big Brother house.
05:14But I really think I have a hyper-awareness
05:18of how people are portraying themselves
05:23or how people are acting towards me.
05:26I think I'm hyper-vigilant on those verbal
05:30and non-verbal cues of how their demeanor is.
05:34So I think I'm going to be able to figure out
05:37who might not be on my side.
05:39And then I will rally the troops to get rid of them
05:43before they get rid of me.
05:44And that is how I will crush my enemies.
05:47What are you bringing to the show
05:49that nobody has seen before?
05:52You'll never see anybody more genuine than Vince.
05:55That's who I am.
05:56That's something that I think I bring to the table.
05:59I am a genuine human being.
06:01And I can't fake that.
06:04I think I have what it takes to win Big Brother
06:06because I just have the perfect formula.
06:08Again, it's who I am.
06:10It's just in my core.
06:11I have the social skills and the physical athleticism
06:14to compete with the best of them
06:18without ever actually looking like a massive threat.
06:22What makes Big Brother such a successful show
06:25after 25 years?
06:27So this is a huge season
06:29because Big Brother is celebrating their 25th anniversary.
06:33And I think what makes Big Brother so unique
06:35and have such a loyal following
06:38is the uniqueness of it.
06:40It's one of the longest reality competition shows,
06:44meaning it's three months
06:46rather than just a couple weeks.
06:48There's live feeds.
06:49It's on 24-7.
06:51So there's going to be something happening at all times
06:54where, you know,
06:55the fans of the show can watch and enjoy.
06:57Um, there's a lot of unique elements to it
07:00that just...
07:01Changing the themes each season,
07:04you know,
07:04keeping the beloved competitions
07:07but adding in new competitions.
07:09It's always fresh.
07:11It's always new.
07:12But it also keeps true to who it is at its core.
07:17And that is Big Brother.
07:20What's your strategy going into the game?
07:23My strategy for the Big Brother house,
07:25I don't even know what I'm doing on planet Earth,
07:26let alone know what I'm going to do
07:28in the Big Brother house.
07:29So that's where I have to wing it
07:30and I have to adapt.
07:32That's all I can do.
07:32Just got to do my best.
07:34Tell us a little bit about your life
07:36in the outside world
07:37and how that has prepared you for Big Brother.
07:41I don't want to sound too lost in life
07:42because I should have...
07:43I know I should have things figured out by my 30s,
07:46but I don't really have a set long-term career path
07:51that I've been like...
07:52that I found that I've been so passionate about.
07:55So I've had a lot of different jobs
07:57throughout my adult life.
07:59So I don't even like associate myself with like,
08:02I am a this
08:04or I formerly work long-term or regularly as this.
08:08I'm trying to figure out what the next thing is.
08:10I do have a...
08:11One of my hobbies is photography
08:13and I would love to one day have a career
08:16in maybe like sports photography
08:18or something along those lines.
08:20I think that would be a lot of fun.
08:22My main goal is I just want to have...
08:24I want to enjoy what I do.
08:25That's my biggest thing.
08:26I know what I don't want to do.
08:29I've had enough jobs to know what I don't want to do,
08:31but I'm just trying to narrow it down
08:33and land what I do want to do.
08:36So all in due time.
08:38I'm not comparing myself to others.
08:40I'm not going to stress myself out too hard.
