During a press briefing on Tuesday, Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu spoke about US-Israeli cooperation in the Middle East.
Transcript
00:00I said these are momentous times, and they are.
00:03The President and I believe in a doctrine called peace through strength.
00:09First comes strength, then comes the peace.
00:12Our resolute action, the resolute decision of President Trump to act with us against
00:20those who seek to destroy Israel and threaten the peace of the world has made a remarkable
00:26change in the Middle East.
00:29The remarkable American B2 pilots showed remarkable perseverance, persistence, and power.
00:38The soldiers of Israel fought like lions, our pilots struck like lightning, and our common
00:44alliance roared like thunder.
00:47And this is having a great change in our region.
00:50There are opportunities for peace that we intend to realize.
00:55We're working together on this.
00:57We have still to finish the job in Gaza, release all our hostages, eliminate and destroy Hamas's
01:06military and governance capabilities because Gaza must have a different future for our
01:12sake, for everyone's sake.
01:14And no country will settle for less.
01:16We certainly will not.
01:17These are all things that I discussed with President Trump.
01:20I may discuss further with him later in this visit.
01:24But I have to say that the coordination between our two countries, the coordination between an
01:29and American president and Israeli prime minister has been unmatched.
01:35It offers great promise for Israel, for America, for our region, and for the world.
01:41Well done.
01:46We're going to relax.
