00:00Entertaining guests is fun, but also a hassle.
00:03It doesn't have to be so difficult.
00:04You can just make a freezer door martini.
00:07Freezer door martinis are a fantastic hack
00:09to make multiple of one cocktail
00:11that's pre-diluted at the right temperature.
00:13So you don't have to be stirring up a drink
00:15for every single person who comes into your home.
00:17First, you're gonna need a bottle.
00:18Make sure you wash it out and then sanitize.
00:20And another really helpful tool is gonna be a funnel
00:23because in order to pour into the bottle, you need this.
00:26As with lots of other martinis, gin is such a huge category
00:29and you can pull from lots of different styles and flavors.
00:31One of them that I particularly love
00:33happens to be fourth gin.
00:34There is a little bit of emphasis on chamomile on this
00:37and it works really well in a martini.
00:39Fun hack is that if you use this bottle
00:41and use it in its entirety, it has a measurement line here.
00:44So you can actually reuse this bottle and repurpose it
00:46to always make your freezer door martinis
00:48because it has the lines already in there.
00:51You're gonna need a measuring cup
00:52and you also need to know how big your bottle is.
00:54This is a one liter bottle, which is 33.81 ounces
00:58or roughly 32 ounces.
00:59Always make sure that you're keeping a lot of space
01:02for some of the air on top.
01:04For this, we are doing roughly a two, one, one ratio,
01:08meaning two parts gin, one part vermouth, and one part water.
01:15All right, we are gonna start with about 15 ounces of gin.
01:22If you're somebody who likes a bit more gin-heavy martinis,
01:25you absolutely can do that, but here I'm trying to keep
01:27a good ratio across the board.
01:39With a ratio of two, one, one, it means that both the vermouth
01:42and the water are gonna come in between six to eight ounces.
01:45Depends how heavy you want the vermouth.
01:47So I kinda like to crack it up to be about seven ounces
01:49of vermouth that's going to go into this martini.
01:52Make sure it's an extra dry vermouth.
01:54If you get a sweet vermouth, it's not gonna turn out
01:57the right way, and if you get a Bianco or Blanc vermouth,
01:59it's gonna maybe be a touch bit more floral or sweet
02:02than you want it to be.
02:09At this point, you can just fill it to the top with water
02:10because we know how many ounces it's gonna be,
02:12but for consistency's sake, let's measure out our water.
02:15I do like to use a filtered water or a natural water source
02:18because that's going to yield the best quality martini.
02:23But honestly, if you're just using the tap,
02:24like I live here in New York City,
02:26that stuff is great in your martini.
02:29You might be saying, Pam, why are we adding water
02:31to this martini if it's going to the freezer?
02:34Well, we're not adding any more dilution
02:36after it comes out of the freezer.
02:38A martini is normally stirred over ice,
02:40which not only cools it down,
02:41but also dilutes it properly before it's served.
02:44So here, we're omitting the ice and we're using water instead
02:47and freezing it at the perfect temperature
02:49so you can just pour and serve.
02:52Ooh, this fits in beautifully to our martini board.
02:56So this has been sitting at least for 12 hours in the freezer.
02:58You can see it's frosted over.
03:00We also pre-frosted our martini glasses,
03:02and you make a nice board with lots of different accoutrements.
03:04So you have all of your different types of garnishes here.
03:08You can add some snacks to it too,
03:09but this is honestly the perfect hosting opportunity.
03:12And as promised before,
03:14it is pre-diluted, ready to go,
03:16and it's ready to pour.
03:18It is pretty cold,
03:19so you don't want too much contact with the bottle.
03:24And you can see that stunning texture of the martini.
03:27The freezing point actually makes it a little bit more viscous
03:30and a little bit thicker in texture.
03:32It just has to do with what happens with the temperature
03:34in regard to the martini.
03:36And now it's up to you.
03:38A cocktail onion is such a fun option,
03:40and when you add it to a martini,
03:42it's called a Gibson.
03:45It's a really different experience,
03:46and if you've never tried one before,
03:48why not? You got nothing to lose.
04:06In the morning,
04:09you got nothing to lose.
04:10With this home,
04:11you can find a lot of Tschadthi Jenna.
04:13And it's a very different experience of being
04:14a beautiful girl.
04:15And now the演ute is amazing.
04:17And it's really beautiful.
04:18It looks like a huge thing that you can find out
04:19bu因為 kit and個 RTD.
04:20You got nothing to lose.
04:21We can't eat.
04:21You got nothing to lose.
04:22You got nothing to lose.
04:23You got nothing to lose.
04:24And if you've never tried one before,
04:26you got nothing to lose.
04:28You got nothing to lose.
04:29You got nothing to lose.
04:31You got nothing to lose.
04:31It was a very nice.
04:32There you got nothing to lose.
