00:00Hey everybody, Mike Bloom here. Just wanted to give a quick disclaimer before we get into the interviews proper.
00:06In the effort of full disclosure, for those of you who do not know, the typical preseason process for a Big Brother season is that along with the cast and the bios,
00:16CBS will usually send us individual interviews with each house guest in the diary room.
00:22These interviews are conducted entirely by production. They're the ones who come up with the questions and subsequently ask the questions
00:29to the house guests. And then what I tend to do specifically is just to, you know, liven it up a little bit, make it seem like more of a back and forth.
00:39I try to approximate to the best of my ability the questions that were asked to the house guests and edit myself in asking them.
00:47I cannot make this clear enough. I did not ask these questions specifically to the house guests.
00:54These are part of interviews that were distributed to all of the press that I just wanted to, you know, make look like a little bit of a back and forth
01:03as we get to know the newest group of players to enter this month's long experience.
01:08Hope that all makes sense and enjoy the interviews.
01:15To start, tell us a little bit about yourself. Give us your name, where you're from and what you do.
01:21Hi, my name is Adrian. I'm 23. I'm from San Antonio, Texas, and I'm a carpenter.
01:28What's your reaction to getting to play Big Brother?
01:32I don't think words can describe how excited I am to be here in the Big Brother house.
01:39Honestly, because in my head, I am the greatest Big Brother player this world has yet to see.
01:44I'm ready to prove it, okay? I freaking slept on the floor.
01:47I did every single process. I've trained for comps. I slept on the floor. I made my own slop.
01:52I've been training. I've been reading so many psychology books.
01:55I've trained to beat this game in all three aspects, the social, the strategic, and the physical.
02:00I'm here to play the game and win Big Brother.
02:04I'm here to win the money for my family, but also to become the greatest of all time.
02:11Like, that's my personal thing. Like, I don't think I've ever seen anyone analyze the game like I have.
02:15And I'm just excited to see myself, after I win, play Big Brother.
02:19Because I think that's the best part for me. I get to watch back and see greatness, you know?
02:24Why will you win Big Brother?
02:28I'm going to win Big Brother because there's no one better than me.
02:31Socially, strategically, and physically, there's no one that can out-beat the king.
02:36Dude, dude, why wouldn't I be the one to win Big Brother?
02:39There's not, like I said, there's not a single aspect that I haven't trained for.
02:42This game is made up of three things.
02:44The social, the strategical, and the physical.
02:48When it comes to the physical, I train to win any single comp that has been seen and unseen, right?
02:54I built my own wall comp. I did balance beams.
02:57I studied the giant dice game. I studied the stacking game.
03:00I studied every single possible Big Brother competition there is to know.
03:04And I train for anything else. I train my balance. I train for endurance, right?
03:08And when it comes to social, like I said, I've studied almost every social psychology book you could think of.
03:14I know what it takes to get someone to like you.
03:17It's not about how much you have in common with someone.
03:19It's how much you can make them think you have in common with them, right?
03:23And then the strategic, because the way I like to define strategic, right?
03:27The social is who you have influence over, right?
03:30And strategic is how you use that influence, right?
03:34So the first stage, the early game, because the game is made up of three segments, right?
03:38The early, the mid, and the end game.
03:39The early game, the social game is the most important part.
03:44You have to build up these relationships because you can't be strategical in the first session, right?
03:48Because you can't use that influence if you haven't built that influence, right?
03:53Do you plan on keeping any secrets about yourself from the other house guests?
03:59I live and breathe Big Brother.
04:01I won't tell them I make my own slop.
04:03I won't tell them I slept on the floor to train for the have-not room.
04:06I won't tell them I built my own balance beam comps, my own wall comp.
04:10Like the most iconic comp in Big Brother, the wall comp.
04:13Yeah, I built that.
04:14I had that in my backyard.
04:15I call it, I do it every Wednesday.
04:17It's called wall comp Wednesdays, you know?
04:20What's your fan level with Big Brother?
04:22Dude, dude, oh my lord.
04:24There is nobody more, I don't even, honestly, I don't even like saying super fan.
04:28I'm like the biggest, I'm even the best fan.
04:30I am the like super genius, I don't even know what I freaking said.
04:34Like I'm like a social session, a freaking like strategic mastermind here.
04:38Yes, I'm a super fan of Big Brother.
04:40There is, again, there is no one more qualified to play this game than me, bro.
04:43I studied the physical, I studied the social, I studied the freaking strategical, man.
04:48There is no one that could out, out, there's no one that could beat me in comps.
04:52There's no one that could out, socialize me.
04:53And there's no one that could out, strategize me.
04:55And if you don't believe it, just watch.
04:57You'll see it in time.
04:59How will you crush your enemies?
05:02How would I crush my enemies?
05:03It depends because like I said, like the way I break it down is just three stages.
05:07Early, mid, and end.
05:08And in the first, the first, in the early stages, you want to get rid of people, the early
05:12is from the first 16 to the final, final 11 or six or final, final 11 or six, final 11
05:19or nine.
05:19And you want to get those people that like you can't find similarities with, you can't, you
05:23don't have a bond with, right?
05:24People that you just can't see working long term or like you can't use, right?
05:28Mid game, you want to take out the comps.
05:29You want to, you want to take them out at jury, but right before final six, because final six,
05:34every person could play the veto, right?
05:36So you could guarantee your safety all the way to the final, to the end.
05:39If you could get out all the comps, all the people you can't beat before final six.
05:44And plus, if, and plus in the mid game, if you get the comps out in jury, this is so
05:49underestimated, comps tend to favor a good game, right?
05:53So when you have the jury full of comps that you've taken out yourself and you strategically
05:58explain to them how you strategically kick them out of the house, I mean, they're going
06:03to respect your game more than someone that may be bitter or not.
06:06I mean, it just depends who you are, but I mean, most likely I'll do it with a smile
06:09so that you love me at the end, you know?
06:11What makes Big Brother such a successful show after 25 years?
06:17Honestly, the reason why I love Big Brother and I think why the fans love coming in is
06:21because the drama, the strategic play.
06:23Yeah, honestly, we sometimes in Big Brother, we have pretty faces, but to be fair, you can
06:27get that anywhere.
06:28This is not The Bachelor.
06:29This isn't Love Island.
06:30This isn't other TV shows, okay?
06:31This is Big Brother.
06:32This is backstabbing.
06:33This is lying.
06:34This is strategic manipulation.
06:36This is social influencing.
06:38You got to only have to figure your way out through this social landscape, but you have
06:42to also survive for your survival.
06:45You have to vote other people out.
06:46You have to sometimes betray your own friend.
06:48Maybe you're even an alliance to get to the end, you know?
06:51So I think what makes Big Brother is the social dynamic.
06:56Like I said, finding your way through the social landscape, competing to the physical comps,
07:01you know, being strategic with who you get rid of, who you keep by your side, knowing
07:04that they could be a wolf in sheep's clothing.
07:07You know, I think that that alone separates Big Brother from any other show is that it combines
07:13the physical, the strategic, and the social.
07:15Like what other game is going to have that, you know?
07:17What's your strategy going into the game?
07:20My strategy coming to the BB house is first, we got to focus on the early game.
07:24The early game is all about social, social, building those connections, being social with
07:29everybody because the second start, the second, second stage is strategic.
07:33At the end, it's physical.
07:35I mean, I plan to, I want to win the first HOH to establish, to start establishing alliances,
07:41to make alliances, create alliances, final choose from a position of power.
07:46But it depends because if, because I, if I could, if I could get away with it, I would,
07:52I would throw, strategically throw the first HOH if I, if I feel safe with the, with the
07:57final two people standing there.
07:59Because if I'm willing to be the third person out, as long as I trust the final two that
08:03are still hanging on, the still, that are still hanging on or still competing for HOH.
08:08But if not, if, if it's somebody that I don't think I could get along with, I'm gonna
08:11have to gun for the HOH.
08:13What are your biggest strengths?
08:15I grew up, like, pretty weird as a kid, so I didn't really know how to socialize.
08:20But as I got, like, older, I learned how to get along with everybody, the nerds, the jocks,
08:24you know, you know, young or old.
08:26Like, today as a carpenter, like, I work with a lot of, like, older ladies and single moms.
08:30But I mean, like, I learned how to get along with, like, you know, sometimes it's older
08:34gentlemen as well, people that just need help.
08:36But other than just getting along with personalities, I think one of the things is, like, I really do
08:41care a lot about, a lot about people and, like, who they are.
08:43And it's, I think I'm a great listener and observer.
08:46And I think I really make people feel seen and heard.
08:49What are your biggest weaknesses?
08:51I learned in life that, like, honesty is always, like, the best thing.
08:55So I think when it comes to, like, my weaknesses would probably be two things.
08:59Being honest, even if it's brutal, like farting.
09:02Or just, like, caring about people too much.
09:05Because I think I might have a difficult time.
09:07Like, I know one of my rules is to play logically, not emotionally.
09:12But I really do care about the people I meet.
09:15And even though it's a competition and I'm going to have to evict everybody, you know,
09:19it's still going to hurt.
09:21Like, I don't want to, like, if I ride or die, if I'm with my ride or die and I know I have to win,
09:26right, if I know that his competition is, like, his game is just too good
09:30of a chance to take to the end,
09:33I'm going to have a hard time, like, cutting them loose or hurt loose.
09:36But I feel like I have to do it because it's part of my rules.
09:38You got to think logically, not emotionally.
09:40But, I mean, I think I'll be able to handle it when the situation arises.
09:45But I don't know.
09:47I feel like my weaknesses are my strengths in a way.
09:51Because honesty, you know, you can't go wrong with honesty, right?
09:53I mean, I know I'm in the big brother house.
09:55But, I mean, if there's one person to win, it's the greatest player of all time, you know?
09:58What are you bringing to the show that nobody has seen before?
10:02I want to say, honestly, I'm a bit weird.
10:06There's a lot of things you don't know about me.
10:07Like, I like picking up things with my feet.
10:09I love playing with toys.
10:10I mean, people don't play with toys enough.
10:12And, I don't know, there's a lot of things that you're just going to have to find out as the show goes on.
10:17But I think the thing I really want to bring the most is a strategic game.
10:22Like I said, I've never seen anyone analyze, break down the game like I have.
10:25And as the game goes on, once I meet these people, I can better strategize, get a feel for who they are.
10:30And you can see me how I manipulate, influence all these people to get them like me to do my bidding.
10:35And I'm really excited to see, like, myself really kill this game better than anyone has before.
10:42Better than Dan Giesling.
10:43Better than Derek from Season 16.
10:45Better than Dr. Will.
10:45Better than any of the greats you could think of.
10:47I believe that I could outbeat them in any day.
10:50Better than any of the greats you could think of.
