00:00Hello and welcome to Manchester World. Today we're going to be talking about MCR Live 25
00:06and specifically I've been given a mission. Now this is the Music for the Senses trail map. Now
00:14Music for the Senses is an art trail all the way across the city of Manchester with 88 different
00:21exhibits and today I'm going to have 20 minutes to try and tick off as many as I can but it's
00:26not just me this dog right here Cooper my dog is coming with as we're going to wander through the
00:31streets to try and pay some respect to some of Manchester's musical heroes. The most intense
00:36little cluster seems to be here in the northern quarter which considering we're starting in
00:40Piccadilly Gardens is pretty perfect so we're going to hit certainly these three murals we're going to
00:46aim to see Pete Turner from Elbow's Guitar which is currently hosted at the coffee pot and we're
00:51going to stop in as well at the MCR Live Hub Bar which is in Piccadilly Gardens and we're going to
00:57have a look at what they've got to offer. Right then we're leaving Piccadilly Gardens
01:02so let's start that timer 20 minutes let's see what we can do. So here we are at number one as you
01:09can see behind me this is something that we've done at Manchester World already it was introduced last
01:14year and it is of course Andy Rourke it was created by Ask P19 sometime last year and has been included
01:21on this trail obviously because of the immense importance of Andy Rourke to the Manchester music
01:26scene. Now every Mancunian will have heard of the coffee pot and here's what they've got inside. Now as
01:30you can see here this is a signed guitar from Pete Turner of Elbow Cooper is very invested in it aren't you
01:37coops hey so that is number two ticked off there's time for a quick stop at Stephenson Square this is
01:45a QR code you need to scan yourself and then we moved to Fred Aldous. Now we did a video on Fred Aldous
01:50recently it will not be a surprise to people that they are a part of this tour they are one of the
01:55best creative hubs in the city they've been here for a long old time now and it's absolutely right
02:01that they're a part of this little walk along. So here we go an amazing piece of guitar art this
02:07one's been created by Hamo with the guitar donated by Alex and Jess Ashworth obviously sponsored by
02:13Fred Aldous and look at the design on that another obvious one I'm afraid Piccadilly Records one of
02:18the best known and most respected record shops here in Manchester in Piccadilly Records a guitar
02:24donated by the Doves signed by the Doves again another reflection of the amazing range of brilliant
02:30bands that we've had come out of Greater Manchester. Mural number one just outside of Affleck's we've got
02:35created by Mark Kennedy and Mary Goodwin we have Mark E Smith and Cooper bless her heart is exhausted
02:43so I think we're gonna head to Piccadilly Gardens so here we are then the MCR Live 25 hub in Piccadilly
02:49Gardens so go out get your hands on a map and see how many you can tick off but for now that's all
02:55thank you for watching Manchester World and from me and Cooper we'll see you again soon
