00:00One of Bristol City's new coaches, Bernd Eibler, has spoken for the first time since he joined the Robins, alongside head coach Gerhard Struber.
00:09Yeah, very good. It's so great to be here at the club with big history.
00:15You can feel it every day when you come in the training ground.
00:19And also the city is very nice. We went out for food many times. We enjoy it. The people, they are very friendly.
00:29So, yeah, we enjoy the city, but also the work on the pitch with the boys.
00:34And you're joining as part of Gerhard's backroom staff and you've worked with him previously at New York Red Bulls and Cologne.
00:39How excited are you to be working with him again?
00:41Yeah, very excited. I know Gerhard since a long time now, like you said.
00:46Yeah, we understand each other very well. I know what he expects from us, from me.
00:52So, yeah, I like it to work with him. I know what I can bring into that we grow in a good direction with the team.
00:59So, yeah, really looking forward to go in the next challenge with him and to be successful.
01:05Can you tell us a little bit about your coaching journey and your style of coaching?
01:08Yeah, it started very, very early. When I was 18, I started at my hometown club.
01:14And Bristol Rovers have made yet another signing ahead of their League Two campaign, this time bringing in Luke Southwood.
01:22He spoke for the first time following his arrival.
01:26Yeah, I'm buzzing. Really happy to get it done and can't wait to get going.
01:30And what made you think that Bristol Rovers was the right choice for you?
01:33There was a lot of things, I think. Obviously, I know bits and I know the gaffer really well. I've worked with them before and I know under them I can progress and obviously bring a lot to the way they want to play and do things.
01:44And then secondly, the club. I've played against the club loads of times over the last few years and, yeah, the fan base is brilliant.
01:51You can feel the passion and I just feel like it's a club that's sort of matching my ambition and, yeah, I want to get on board with it.
01:57You mentioned bits and Daryl there. How important are those previous connections to you coming here?
02:02Yeah, massive. Massive. Because I know, personally for me, I know under bits, obviously every day working with the goalkeepers and him, I know I'm going to be able to develop and keep improving.
02:11And then with the gaffer, I know the way he wants to play. I know the way he works.
