00:00Devastation in Kerr County in central Texas with floodwaters and debris and a death toll of dozens
00:08of people killed due to a few hours of torrential rain on Friday that led to flash flooding. Some
00:15people are missing including 11 girls from a summer camp. Hundreds of people were evacuated.
00:21It's just completely flooded. I bring my dog down here to the dog park,
00:26flood or play all the time and it's just completely underwater. There's nothing.
00:32Rescuers continue their search for survivors with flash flood watches remaining in effect on Sunday
00:39in parts of central Texas and with authorities facing growing questions including why a Texas
00:44Division of Emergency Management warning prior to the downpour had not led to evacuations.
00:50One of the questions that still hasn't been answered three days into this
00:54is despite TEEEM's warning on July 2nd, July 3rd that something like this could have happened,
01:00that the threat existed, why that information didn't get down to the camps and why they weren't evacuated.
01:05Can you answer that now?
01:06That is a great question but again we want to make sure that we continue to focus. We still have 11
01:11missing children that we want to get reunited with our families. Until we can get until we can get
01:15reunited with our fam with the families we are not we are not going to stop we are not going to stop
01:20until we do. So thank you. The US President Donald Trump has signed a major disaster declaration for
01:28Kerr County. His critics are saying that his administration's cuts to the National Weather
01:33Service contributed to the flood disaster.
