00:00In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, peace be with you.
00:19Today, also we remember Peter Delotte, who was a layman who was tortured and killed by the Japanese for his faith.
00:31He's going to be canonized as a saint. He's a blessed, but to be canonized by the Pope.
00:37And he's really a martyr, and he will be canonized this year.
00:43So we acknowledge our sins. We acknowledge the mercy, the love, and the compassion of God.
00:50You are with us always, Lord, have mercy. You turn to good everything for us, Christ, have mercy.
00:57You are our hope and our strength, Lord, have mercy.
01:01May Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins, and lead us into healing and life everlasting.
01:09Let us pray. O God, who in the abasement of your Son has raised up a fallen world,
01:15fill your faithful with holy joy. For on those you have rescued from slavery to sin,
01:21you bestow eternal gladness through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
01:25who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
01:32A reading from the Book of Genesis
01:36Jacob left Beersheba and sat out for Haran. When he had reached a certain place, he passed the night there, since the sun had set.
01:48Taking one of the stones he found at that place, he made it his pillow and lay down where he was.
01:56He had a dream. A ladder was there, standing on the ground, with his top reaching to heaven.
02:03And there were angels of God, going up it and coming down. And the Lord was there, standing over him, saying,
02:13I am the Lord, the God of Abraham your father, and the God of Isaac. I will give to you and your descendants the land on which you are laying.
02:23Your descendants shall be like the specks of dust on the ground, which shall spread to the west and the east, to the north and the south.
02:32And all the tribes of the earth shall bless themselves by your descendants. Be sure that I am with you.
02:40I will keep you safe wherever you go and bring you back to this land, for I will not desert you before I have done all that I have promised you.
02:51Then Jacob woke from his sleep and said, Surely the Lord is in this place, and I never knew it.
02:58He was afraid and said, How awe-inspiring this place is. It is nothing less than a house of God. This is the gate of heaven.
03:10Rising early in the morning, Jacob took the stone he had used for his pillow and set it up as a monument, pouring oil over the top of it.
03:20He named the place Bethel, but before that the town was called Luz. Jacob made this vow, If God goes with me and keeps me safe on this journey I am making, and if he gives me bread to eat and clothes to wear, and if I return home safely to my father, then the Lord shall be my God.
03:47This stone I have set up as a monument shall be a house of God.
03:51This is the word of the Lord. Thanks be to God. In you my God I place my trust. In you my God I place my trust.
04:03He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High, and abides in the shade of the Almighty, says to the Lord my refuge, my stronghold, my God in whom I trust.
04:15In you Lord I place my trust. It is he who will free you from the snare of the fowler who seeks to destroy you. He will conceal you with his penance, and under his wings you will find refuge. In you my God I place my trust.
04:33Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia.
04:53Our Saviour Jesus Christ has done away with death and brought us life through his gospel. Alleluia.
05:02The Lord be with you. A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Matthew. Glory to you, O Lord.
05:10While Jesus was speaking, up came one of the officials who bowed down in front of him and said, My daughter has just died, but come and lay your hand on her, and her life will be saved.
05:24Jesus rose with his disciples, followed him. Then from behind him came a woman who had suffered from a hemorrhage for twelve years, and she touched the fringe of his cloak, for she said to herself, If I can only touch his cloak, I shall be well again.
05:44Jesus turned round and saw her and said to her, Courage, my daughter, your faith has restored you to hells. And from that moment the woman was well again.
05:56When Jesus reached the official's house and saw the flute prayers and the crowd making a commotion, he said, Get out of here. The little girl is not dead. She is asleep. And they laughed at him.
06:08But when the people had been turned out, he went inside and took the little girl by the hand, and she stood up. And the news spread all around the countryside.
06:20The Gospel of the Lord. Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.
06:26What seems so hard and so impossible to us is not impossible to God. In those two stories from the Gospel, one is the woman who had twelve years of distress, touching the fringe of Jesus' cloak. She's healed.
06:42And the little girl is brought back to life, even though they laughed at him. So whatever challenges we have, we just keep our steadiness, our calm, knowing that God is with us, even though our feelings try to rage inside us in different directions.
06:58God is there. God is there, and we hold on in faith. My peace I give you, not as the world gives it, but my own peace I give to you.
07:14Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation, for to your goodness we have this bread to offer, which earth has given human hands have made. It will become for us the bread of life. Blessed be God forever.
07:27Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation.
07:55Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation, for to your goodness we have this wine to offer, fruit of divine work of human hands. It will become a spiritual drink. Blessed be God forever.
08:16Let us pray, brothers and sisters, that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to God our Almighty Father.
08:23May the Lord accept the sacrifice at our hands, for the praise and glory of God's name, for our good and the good of God's Holy Church.
08:31May this oblation dedicated to your name purify us, O Lord, and day by day bring our conduct closer to the life of heaven, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
08:43The Lord be with you.
08:45The Lord be with you.
08:46Lift up your hearts.
08:48Let us.
08:49Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
08:52It is truly right and just, our duty and our salvation, always and everywhere, to give you thanks, Father most holy, to your beloved Son, Jesus Christ, your word to whom you made all things, whom you sent as our Saviour and Redeemer, incarnate by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin.
09:13Fulfilling your will and gaining for you a holy people, he stretched out his hands as he endured his passion, so as to break the bonds of death and manifest the resurrection.
09:24And so, with the angels and all the saints, we declare your glory as with one voice we acclaim, Holy, Holy, Holy Lord, God of hosts, heaven and earth are full of your glory, Hosanna in the highest.
09:39Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, Hosanna in the highest.
09:45You are indeed holy, O Lord, the fount of all holiness.
09:48Make holy, therefore, these gifts, we pray, by sending down your Spirit upon them like the dewfall, that they may become for us the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
09:58At the time he was betrayed and entered willingly into his passion, he took bread, and giving thanks, broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, Take this, all of you, and eat of it, for this is my body, which will be given up for you.
10:14In a similar way, when supper was ended, he took the chalice, and once more giving thanks, he gave it to his disciples, saying, Take this, all of you, and eat from it, for this is the chalice of my blood, the blood of the new and eternal covenant, which will be pulled out for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins.
10:40Do this in memory of me.
10:47The mystery of faith.
10:51We proclaim your death, O Lord, and profess your resurrection until you come again.
11:01Therefore, as we celebrate the memorial of his death and resurrection, we offer you, Lord, the bread of life and the chalice of salvation,
11:09giving thanks that you've held us worthy to be in your presence and minister to you.
11:14Humbly we pray that, partaking of the body and blood of Christ, we may be gathered into one by the Holy Spirit.
11:22Remember, Lord, your church, spread throughout the world and bring her to the fullness of charity, together with Leo, our Pope, me, your unworthy servant, and all the clergy.
11:34Remember also our brothers and sisters who have fallen asleep in the hope of the resurrection.
11:39And all who have died in your mercy, welcome them into the light of your face.
11:45Have mercy on us all, we pray, that with the blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, blessed Joseph, as fast, with the blessed apostles and all the saints who have reached you throughout the ages,
11:57we may, through your grace, merit to be coerced to eternal life, and may praise and glorify you through your Son, Jesus Christ.
12:06Through him and with him and in him, O God, Almighty Father, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, all glory and honor is yours forever and ever. Amen.
12:21Amen.
12:23At the Saviour's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say,
12:28Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
12:33Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
12:38Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
12:46And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
12:49Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil.
12:53Graciously grant peace in our days, that by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress,
13:01as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Saviour, Jesus Christ.
13:07For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours, now and forever.
13:12Lord Jesus Christ, we say to your apostles,
13:15Peace I leave you, my peace I give you.
13:17Look not on our sins, but on the faith of your Church,
13:21and graciously grant her peace and unity in accordance with your will,
13:25who live and reign forever and ever. Amen.
13:28The peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.
13:31Let us offer each other a sign of peace.
13:34Peace be with you all.
13:37Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world.
13:40Have mercy on us.
13:42Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world.
13:45Have mercy on us.
13:48Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world.
13:51Grant us peace.
13:52Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world.
14:13Happy are those who are called to the supper of the Lamb.
14:16Lord, I am not worried you should enter under my roof,
14:19but only say the world, and my soul shall be healed.
14:23My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the most blessed sacrament.
14:28I love you above all things, and I desire to receive you into my soul.
14:33Since I cannot now receive you sacramentally,
14:36commonly, spiritually, into my heart,
14:39I embrace you as if you were already there,
14:41and unite myself wholly to you.
14:44Never permit me to be separated from you.
14:47Amen.
14:49Let us pray.
14:53Christ, we pray, O Lord, that having been replenished by such great gifts,
14:58we may gain the price of salvation,
15:00and never cease to praise you.
15:03Through Christ our Lord.
15:04Amen.
15:06The Lord be with you.
15:08And may the peace and the blessing of the Father and of the Son,
15:11and of the Holy Spirit come upon you and remain always with you.
