00:22Folks, it might be a holiday weekend, but Notre Dame is busy on the recruiting trail.
00:26A couple new wide receiver commitments I want to talk about.
00:30After a huge addition of Caden Finley on Friday, an elite wide receiver out of the state of Texas, it's okay.
00:36We'll be excited about the future of this passing offense.
00:38Been a struggle in recent years, but things are looking up.
00:42And a big reason for it is the addition of some dynamic playmakers now in the 2026 class.
00:47Over the weekend, on Saturday, Notre Dame received a commitment from Phoenix, Arizona, Brophy Prep wide receiver Devin Fitzgerald.
00:55Obviously the son of Larry Fitzgerald.
00:57They also received a commitment today from Brayden Robinson, who was a wide receiver out of Red Oak, Texas, Dynamic Space Dynamo.
01:05And I want to tell you why I'm so excited about this one.
01:07Not only did you knock it out of the park for three straight days and get the three remaining wide receivers that were on your board,
01:14but you got a couple complimentary weapons the last two days that I think are going to be instrumental for this class in the long run.
01:22On Friday, as I mentioned, you got Caden Finley.
01:25He is the number one wide receiver in this class.
01:27He is the potential go-to target in the future for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
01:32Can play in the boundary.
01:33Can play at Z.
01:34Inside, outs.
01:35Can play in the slot.
01:35He can line up pretty much wherever he wants.
01:37But the reason that I'm excited about the two wide receivers that they got over the weekend in Fitzgerald and Robinson
01:42is because that potential complimentary duo is so diverse and unique and different from one another that I think they're going to fit together perfectly.
01:52It's a tragic flaw sometimes, a roster flaw, when wide receiver rooms have too much of the same in them.
01:59They're cookie cutters.
02:00They're all boundary receivers.
02:01They're all Zs.
02:02But you lack the diversity to have players line up and mesh off of one another.
02:07And I think the last three days especially, including Finley in this conversation, you got three receivers that are completely different than the other.
02:15Starting with Devin Fitzgerald, 6'2", 190 plus pounds.
02:19This is your big body boundary receiver, a guy that can win at the catch point, a guy that is pretty fluid and a good route runner, but you know how he's going to win.
02:28It's kind of similar to how his father, obviously Anvil Legends Larry Fitzgerald won a lot with his size, his catch point prowess,
02:35his ability to win and out leverage defenders with his size and his length.
02:40That is how Devin Fitzgerald is going to win.
02:43Now, on the other side with Braden Robinson, my man is 5'8", 160 pounds, but you know what he is?
02:48He is fast.
02:50Speed kills.
02:51And this is a young man that whether you're lining up in the slot or at Z, he can take the top off the defense.
02:56And more importantly, he can win with the football in his hands.
02:59Talk about the screen game, end around, jet sweeps.
03:02You can be super unique and diverse with how you utilize just his touches.
03:07Forget about where he lines up.
03:09You can get him the ball in so many different ways.
03:11So excited about this trio that Notre Dame is able to land over the last three days and to now pair with already committed Bubba Frazier, Dylan Faison.
03:21Wide receiver recruiting has been a problem in the past, but not anymore in the 2026 recruiting class.
