00:30They already have commitments from Ellis McGaskin out of the state of Alabama.

00:38On Thursday, it was just announced that star quarterback out of Kennesaw, Georgia, North Cobb High School,
00:45Teddy Gerrard, 6'3", 195 pounds, is going to be making his college decision deciding between Notre Dame,
00:52Penn State, Ohio State, Michigan, and his home state, the Georgia Bulldogs.
00:58Where do things stand for the Fighting Irish heading into this one?
01:01As we know, we've talked a lot about Gerrard and Peyton Houston as the only two quarterbacks that have been offered in the 2027 class for the Fighting Irish.
01:09Peyton Houston, other teams are just a little bit higher on his list right now.
01:12Such as USC, Oklahoma, a couple others that are just a little bit higher.
01:17Due to just kind of when Notre Dame got on him and just overall, you know, just general interest.
01:21There's a couple that are just a little bit higher.
01:23Gerrard, though, as I've talked about, and I know other outlets have talked about this as well,
01:27love where Notre Dame has been trending over the last few weeks since they have offered Gerrard.
01:31He is a very talented player, 6'3", 195 pounds.
01:36Pocket quarterback, but has enough athleticism to be able to work outside of structure.
01:39Throw on the run, heavy play action effect to his game as well.
01:43I really like the balance that he brings from a floor and upside perspective.
01:49I think that he is a really talented player.
01:50Ranked as number two overall quarterback now, according to the rivals, on three ranking.
01:56So we have seen him continue to rise up the board this offseason.
01:59One of the biggest risers overall of any prospect in the 2027 class, regardless of position.
02:04So heading into this one, I'm not going to sugarcoat it.
02:06Love where Notre Dame has been and love where Notre Dame has been trending
02:10and love where Notre Dame currently sits today.
02:14This has been one where I know the Gerrard family and just Gerrard's side of things,
02:17they haven't really wanted to force anything.
02:20They haven't wanted to have been too quick with a decision.
02:22But I do think that Notre Dame has given them a whole lot to think about
02:25and has done a great job in this recruitment.
02:28If they do land Gerrard this week, hats off to offensive coordinator McDenbrock.
