00:03Nahaharap sa reklamong paglabag sa Republic Acts 1849 o Anti-Hazing Acts of 2018,

00:09ang apat na kadete ng Philippine Military Academy o PMA,

00:12matapos ay reklamo ng kapwa nila kadete.

00:15Nagpunta sa aming tanggapan, particularly sa Station 4 yung isang kadete,

00:21upang maghain ng reklamo laban sa mga kapwa niya kadete

00:26sa pag-hazing, pagmamaltrato sa kanya.

00:31Ayon kay Police Major Marcy Maron, Public Information Officer ng Baguos City Police Office,

00:36batay sa salaysay ng biktima, ilang beses nangyari ang pananakit sa kanya noong 2024.

00:41Binubugbog daw siya, especially kung nasa loob ng barracks noong September 29,

00:48which hindi na niya nakayanan.

00:50Yun nga, na-hospital siya, na-transfer siya sa Viluna Medical Center.

01:31Lumabas sa embesigasyon ng PMA na sinaktan nga ang biktima.

01:34Pero hindi daw nila ito itinuturing na hazing.

01:37The injuries were caused by their classmates venting out their frustration on their squadmate

01:42which because they believe the performance of their classmates is affecting their squad.

01:51The incident does not fall under the legal definition of hazing as stated in the Anti-Hazing Act

01:58which requires acts of violence or abuse to be committed as part of the admission process in the organization.

02:05Gayunman, naparosahan na raw ang mga sangkot na kadete.

02:09The involved cadets were given appropriate punishments depending on the degree of their participation.

02:16Since 2018, the Philippine Military Academy has already implemented comprehensive reforms in our training systems,

02:23policies, and supervising mechanisms in order to prevent these things from happening.

02:29The Philippine Military Academy has a strict zero tolerance on maltreatment and hazing

02:34and such acts has no place in our institution.

02:37Nere-respeto rin daw ng Academy ang desisyon ng pamilya na magsampan ng reklamo laban sa mga sangkot na kadete.

02:43The victim still retains his right to file a case in civilian court should he choose to do so.

02:49Nasa Baguio Prosecutor's Office na ang reklamo at inaalam kung may basihan para maglabas ng warrants para sa mga akusado.
