00:00OK, so now let's talk about some of these names and imagine in our minds you're sitting in the 13th round and a kid from Houston comes up and he kind of had, I think, a sophomore slump, had a rookie of the year.
00:11I'm not so certain. What do I want to do here? It's Jeremy Pena. Tell me, was that the right move?
00:17Oh, 100 percent. I mean, Pena, I know, is on the aisle right now, but he has been terrific this year. He's hitting 322 on the season.
00:22So he's giving you batting average and that's coming off of two consecutive years hitting in the 260 range.
00:27So a huge boot in batting average. Will that batting average come back down to earth a little bit in the second half?
00:32Probably. But still, 322 in an era where you can't find batting average and that 150 something range, you'll take it.
00:39He's got 11 homers. He's also got 15 stolen bases. He's on pace to shatter last year's 20.
00:45That should easily go past there. He's had 102 hits on the season, too, and just 82 games played.
00:52Just want to throw that out there. So the 11 home runs, the 15 steals with the 320 batting average.
00:56I mean, that's a pretty good return on a player at the 150 range, especially when you consider shortstop, too.
01:02And he's one of the major reasons, along with Cam Smith and Altuve, that, you know, they've been able to stay where they have.
01:09The Houston Astros somehow at the top of this division by a lot without Jordan Alvarez and without Christian Walker doing anything for the first two and a half months of the season.
01:17I mean anything. So it's been the pitching. It's been Jeremy Pena.
01:22It's been Cam Smith. And it's been a really good year so far for the Houston Astros.
