Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia have all told Manchester United they want to leave the club this summer, and they will be allowed to report for pre-season duty later to finalise moves.

The first group of United's players are due back at Carrington next week for pre-season testing, but those who have informed the club they want to explore opportunities elsewhere will not be required to report to the club's training base.

United sources insist they respect and understand the decision of the players and have delayed their required return date until later in July to allow them time to explore possible transfers. The club insists their medical and rehabilitation facilities will remain available to the players should any wish to come in and use them, and remote support will continue as always. If their players are not resolved during the extended break, they will all be welcomed back to Carrington ahead of the new season.
