Zambia ends cholera outbreak after weeks without new infections

After five weeks without a single new infection, Zambia is officially declaring an end to its latest cholera outbreak.
The final wave of infections saw 496 cases and claimed 9 lives. Health Minister Elijah Muchima confirmed the last recorded case was in Kabwe District, Central Province, back in May.
