00:00The Minnesota Vikings schedule is very interesting, and there's one game that could end up costing them everything, and they better be ready for it.
00:11The Minnesota Vikings schedule came out a couple of months ago, and it really laid out an interesting path to the Vikings making the Super Bowl.
00:18The first five weeks are relatively easy, especially in comparison to last year, but then they come out of the bye to an absolute gauntlet.
00:25And the back half of the year is going to be very difficult for the Vikings, especially if they want to make the Super Bowl.
00:31What's really interesting about the back half of the year is there's one game that is a massive trap game that could end up costing them everything.
00:39Week 16 against the New York Giants.
00:41Now, you might be thinking to yourself, okay, it's the Giants.
00:44They're not that good.
00:45They're probably not going to be very good this year, and you might see a regime change with Brian Dable and Joe Shane end up getting fired and completely replaced, and now they're back to score one.
00:55That could end up being the outcome for the Giants.
00:59But here's the thing.
01:00It's built like a massive trap game, and let me explain.
01:04You have, two weeks prior, the Vikings will host the Commanders and then travel to Dallas to take on the Cowboys on Sunday Night Football.
01:11The two weeks after, the Vikings will have a short week playing the Detroit Lions at home on Christmas Day, and then they will host the Packers to finish off the regular season.
01:20Now, one of the big things here when you have this conversation, Giants are just set up to be a perfect trap game.
01:27You have a cold weather game, the only one that's going to be on the Vikings schedule before the playoffs.
01:32It's on the road.
01:33It's the third of three straight NFC East opponents.
01:38Plus, you have your two biggest NFC North rivals for the division coming up right after that.
01:44So when you're the Minnesota Vikings, that is quite the situation.
01:50You may completely overlook the Giants.
01:53Now, NFL teams normally don't do that, but let's be real.
01:57When you have a four-day break in between games, when you have to play the Lions, who won 15 games last year on your home field, there's going to be some overlooking just in general because you're stretched so thin during those short weeks.
02:11So they need to be ready for this Giants game.
02:13And the Giants have a really good defensive front and a defense that can honestly get after the quarterback.
02:19They better be ready because it's built like a perfect trap game, especially if the cold weather elements really come into play.
02:26And now, when you kind of take a look at everything, they're not going to be a hardest team, but it's about who you play, when you play them.
02:33And that Giants game is one to watch with a bullet.
02:36I'm Tyler Farnes with ADC Sports, Skull Vikings.
