00:05let's talk about it the minnesota vikings got their 2025 schedule and it's a great one yeah

00:13there's 17 games and we knew that the jj mccarthy is going to open up on monday night football

00:18but it's some of the interesting layouts of the schedule that are really interesting

00:22first let's start with the same layout that they had last year a week five game in london a week

00:28six by a week seven game against the playoff power and a week eight thursday night game at los angeles

00:35they're doing the same thing this year week five in london against the cleveland browns week six by

00:40week seven at home against the philadelphia eagles at noon and then at the los angeles charges on

00:46thursday night football and they did the same thing last year with the jets in london a week six by

00:51a week seven game against the lions at home at noon and a week eight games against the los angeles rams

00:57on thursday night football so that was interesting but i want to focus on two elements

01:02the back-to-back international games is brilliant because the vikings are going to have to deal with

01:06the time change once but they don't have to deal with it the second time where the browns are going

01:10to have to they're still going to be adapting and adjusting and then on top of that you're turning

01:16two road games into two neutral site games that's huge so now you have eight home games seven road

01:22games and two neutral sites hello that's a huge advantage over the rest of your division where

01:27they're going to have eight home games and nine road games because none of them play overseas this

01:32year and that's an important element the second is the final two games yes they're going to play

01:39christmas day yes it's four days rest but the lions are going to have that too it's the next game if

01:46you're playing for something in week 18 against the green bay packers you are going to have 10

01:50full days to get acclimated 10 days to prepare 10 days to rest that's huge and we saw how much rest can

02:06make it work and if you get to a point where you can win the division or clinch the one seed like last

02:13year you're going to have an extra three days of rest to get ramped up and ready to go preparation
