00:00Sunderland have smashed their record transfer fee in paying for a player by signing Senegalese midfielder Habib Diara from French side Strasbourg.
00:10The 21-year-old was on the score sheet as Senegal defeated England 3-1 at the city ground in Nottingham earlier this month.
00:18And he will join up with his new teammates at the Academy of Light in a couple of weeks' time for the start of pre-season once he returns from his holiday.
00:27Diara becomes Sunderland's second permanent signing of the summer so far having already completed the permanent move for Enzo Le Fay who spent half of last season on loan at the Stadium of Light from Roma in Italy.
00:41Sunderland of course have already sold Tommy Watson to Brighton & Hove Albion and Joe Bellingham to Borussia Dortmund for around ÂŁ30m.
00:50The ÂŁ30m therefore paid for Habib Diara has been covered by the sale of Bellingham to Dortmund.
01:00And Durham are hoping to bat out the fourth and final day of their county championship match away against Surrey at the Oval.
01:08Ollie Robinson, one of Durham's batsmen, spoke after the third day in which Durham were much improved from the bowling spells they endured on days 1 and 2.
01:18We spoke yesterday about putting behind what's happened and it's just another day of batting to come.
01:25So hopefully we'll just bat tomorrow and kill again.
01:28Big partnership between you and Lisey, I think 152 it was between you two.
01:33Was it just as simple as that with the messaging between you two out there, just ensuring that you guys are still there in five overs, ten overs?
01:39Yeah, we were just batting really, it didn't speak about much really, it was just kind of just bat, still look to score and still look to put the balls under pressure.
01:49But yeah, it's a shame you kind of both got out quickly after they took a new ball, but yeah, things happen.
01:5479 for you, I guess obviously naturally disappointing not to go on, but like you said, in a bigger context, is it just important that you're able to put together and stay with Lisey for a bit?
02:02Yeah, definitely. I think it's disappointing, obviously, because the longer me and Lisey are out there, the more we grind them down and it makes the batting for the other lads a bit easier when the ball gets a little bit softer and doesn't swing as much.
