00:00If we had a band, a different band, say, at a different venue, a different gig,
00:05chanting death to the Navy SEALs or death to Scotland Yard, if they're talking about police brutality,
00:12do you think they would experience the same backlash as what we've seen for Bob, Villain and Kneecap?
00:21I think yes, I think you would see quite a bit of controversy over something like that.
00:25As I said at the beginning, calling for death to someone is very different than a political protest or a line.
00:31Even what he said, that they have a problem with the ideology or they have a problem with whatever.
00:36There's such a thing as legitimate criticism and there's such a thing as illegitimate criticism.
00:40And when you're talking about death to an entire army of mandatory drafted 18-year-olds,
00:45that's quite a bit different than protesting.
00:48I do think you would see a lot of controversy if people said this about someone else.
00:51And I want to add one more thing about it that's especially egregious,
00:54and that is that the entire theme of Glastonbury was supposed to be about unity and respect and love.
00:59And this is something that is, there are values of many music festivals, of many artistic festivals, but especially music.
01:06And so to have someone do this, to use this festival music that's supposed to bring people together
01:10who have different views and who have different backgrounds,
01:13and to use that as a tool to call for death to an entire group of people,
01:17no matter who those people are, it's very, very problematic.
01:19If somebody had done the same thing about Hamas, which actually is a terrorist organization,
01:24unlike the IDF, I also would say that it's not appropriate to use that type of language at a music festival,
01:31much less to broadcast it to millions of people.
